   i am looking at recipes for next week…….hmmm
   may redo this veggie pasta thing (not pumas)
   basically you roast a bunch of veggies with olive oil in the oven and toss it with pasta………made it once before and prewarned dh there was no meat….it was very good………..easy too!

   Well, that’s a fine how do you do. LOL I get all the goodies and no one else does? Where’s the fun in THAT? OK, so my first two tries activating the bat signal have been … duds. So, maybe I will leave that to the real superheroes. I think a few other people got it, even though they were perturbed at getting the PSI and not the melting snowman cookies. Call me silly, but I like anything that stores stuff and looks nice. AND it only takes up one space. Like the AW treasure chest. MomT can attest to that. Speaking of which, is it MomT’s birthday? Or have I got the wrong Gramma?

    i’m not having too much trouble getting the medallions – if I set a timer for 3 1/2 or 4 minutes, they are being pretty regular probably every 4-6 minutes

    Final paper is submitted. Don’t really have high hopes for that one, I was only able to squeeze out 8 of the 10 pages, but hopefully it won’t be marked down too much for that. Now I have lots of studying to do… later… much later…

    Good Morning !
    Choco.. Congrats of finishing up your paper… I always think quality is better than quantity…. good luck studying for your finals……………then enjoy the holidays and relax !! You have earned it !
    Moms… just wondering where your pets hang out when you are catching the medallions ??? It took me from 328 am until 543 am to complete 2 accounts. I didn’t doing any jumping around… tried my room for first account… second account I sat in SantaKinz room…. Two Snowy Retrievers are all I have the time for ! ( does the number of pets per account have any bearing on how often the medallions fly ??? I guess it doesn’t really matter… I am committed to finishing and will be very happy to get the pet !
    Nephew is stilling waiting to hear from the colleges he has applied to… No news yet however he is getting worried…. Was told mid December… so maybe this week…Keeping my fingers crossed and saying lots of prayers !
    Serving strip roast today at Sunday get together… mashed potatoes.. corn and ice cream sundaes for dessert… Will watch the Browns play and hope for a win !

    Shorty… There are floating Snowy Retriever medallions floating in WW…. with an occasional (?) medallion mixed in… At the end of December if you have collected 100 you receive the code for the Retriever ! It was also mentioned
    that you will be awarded 25 Snow Medallion tokens on Christmas Day…

    gaga there is a website called college confidential that has good intel regarding notification dates and so on…..just google it and the name of the college and you will get so much info!
    it is a good site…….dd used it quite a bit…….it is for the kids and parents and gagas

    and choco, you are assuming the prof will read all the papers?
    i know mine read my papers as believe it or not I usually had interesting comments in class…………….:)
    i think as i was older and did not take the textbooks and whatnot at face value and threw some of that there “maturity” into the mix….ha ha ha ha ha ha

    Arrgh, I just had the WORST morning. I’m still reeling from it! I dropped my phone while grocery shopping, and was home before I realized it was lost. Husband called it, to see if we could hear where it was ringing from- AND A STRANGE DUDE PICKED UP! He refused to go back to the grocery store to meet me somewhere public, and demanded that I come to his house to get it!! I took his address, said I would text my phone when we were about to come over, and IMMEDIATELY called the police for an escort! An officer called back, and agreed to escort us to reclaim my phone. The officer actually got there first, and successfully retrieved my phone before we even arrived. But the guy who had taken it was leaving in his car, and as he passed us, he felt the need to holler into our car window “I gave you your phone! Next time, don’t call the cops on me!” I’m still shaking, and so upset and irritable at the experience, the panic, the personal violation… I think I need some Webkinz and lavender tea to help me chill.

    Between the pipe leak and the insurance excitement, the roof leak, and then THIS- this has been the year of “let’s never do this again”. COME ON 2019!!

    I agree with quality over quantity for papers. I sometimes struggle to meet the paper requirements for papers, but I’ve just accepted that I’d rather turn in a shorter paper (and get marked down for that) that’s of good quality, than a longer paper that’s of lesser quality. If I forced myself to turn that 8 page paper into 10 pages, it would’ve really reduced the quality of the paper because I would’ve had to throw in 2 pages of irrelevant nonsense.
    Puma – That’s scary! Glad you were able to get your phone back without a problem. I think if they guy had good intentions and wanted to return the phone, he would’ve given it to a manager at the store instead of taking it to his house.
    Gagagee – I usually do some redecorating or go to the trading room while i’m waiting for the medallions. I do all of my dailies first, but I never see any while I’m doing those. It’s not until I find a place to park my pet that they start showing up.

    dee… thanks for the info… I will check it out… Saw my nephew today and he asked for early decisions from the schools.. He apparently will be notified either accepted or declined (by his first choice on Monday the 17th…) I am on his list of family to be called first… I bought him a computer a couple of weeks ago… He arrived today at our Sunday family dinner and handed me a bag with a gift card for Olive Garden ( my favorite ) to say thank you for the computer ! He is such a sweetie !
    Puma…that is very scary…. Glad the police were there before you and were able to get your phone.. Very suspicious he hadn’t turned the phone into Customer Service.. you did the right thing…and you’re right WW is really comforting ! Hope 2019 brings you and your family better luck !
    Choco… thanks for your input… I try to stay in my room and get pet points while I wait… this morning … took forever to get first medallion…

    hey oh
    what can i do with my leftover 2 cups of buttermilk? dh bought some yesterday to make cracker barrel pancakes (and they was soooooooo stinking good, that we will never do another pancake!)

    but i still have 2c of milk left………eyeing bisquits, but everytime in the past i have tried biscuits, they were hockey pucks………….prolly been fifteen years or more since i tried………..kind of tempted to try again tho

    it is a good site gaga or for anyone else who has someone that is a senior or junior in HS………or is in college………they talk about scholarships and where to eat or whatnot………or even where to stay if you are visiting your kid

    i just remember when dd was waiting on an EA decision and she was on one computer and i was on the other waiting to see when folks got notified and what their “assets” were………..gradewise not money…………needless to say she did not get her EA………..so we make rude comments and gestures when we drive by the campus…………..ha ha ha ha ha ha

    I know, right, Dee? Who wouldn’t? My mom tried to rationalize that if he was someone her age (he was), that “we’re from a different generation, and we don’t think about things like that”. Uh-huh- YOU thought of it, and knew it was wrong, and that he should have brought the phone to a manager at the store. So that means HE can too. He was just trying to take advantage or somebody. Creep.

    Also, Dee, how about freezer waffles with the buttermilk? Baggie them up and store in the freezer for special breakfasts?

    ha ha ha special breakfast……….anytime we have breakfast it is special…dh is the breakfast cooker………..i need to research some of them christmas bfast casseroles and see if i can swap buttermilk……..tho bisquits sound mighty fine!

    so your venture is funny, but hopefully a warning note……i see ads on craigslist or see on the news…….how folks are robbed or worse for not using their survivor brain……………we were just worrywarts like nothing as dd went to look at apts in boston…………..such parents (take someone with, make sure someone knows where you are going, have your phone in your hand blah blah)

    dee, haven’t seen ‘Christmas in Connecticut’ in years. honestly haven’t seen ‘White Christmas’ in quite some time. 😯 I’ve been watching the slew of new movies the Hallmark channels have been showing. Most are good, some are meh.

    Hey gramma ! All time favorite Christmas movie is call The Gathering… stars Ed Asner/Jean Stapleton… I think filmed in the 80’s in CLE.. Chagrin Falls..Kind of all hearts come home for Christmas movie !
    Still taking forever to collect Snowy Retriever medallions…despite being “glued” to my room….Not worried… but only going to do 2 accounts….

    I’ve had good luck with the medallions … I am collecting on 3 accounts, and I usually just log in and sit on the newspaper page. Then I stack the windows so that the left edge of the newspaper is showing (because the medallion either floats across the page or down the left side), and I can click on them when they float by. Right now, I’ve opened a 4th window so that I can scroll through gymbos and catch up on comments while I wait for them to show up. Sometimes, I will open FB or another browser while I am waiting, so I can do some Christmas shopping on Amazon while I wait. 😉

    Puma, I’m so sorry! 🙁 What a way to start a morning! I remember having that feeling when I almost got in an accident one time … sitting in left-hand turn lane, huge box truck jumped the double-yellow line and headed straight for me, last minute swerved almost tipping the truck and got back in his lane. My heart was beating out of my chest and I was sure someone would come along and say, “Ma’am, are you okay?” but no one did. Just another super scary incident in the road of life that amounted to nothing in the end. I shook for hours. I’m still convinced an angel shoved that truck out of the way. You were so smart to call the police for help … too many crazies out there to take a chance.

    Sad to say, I haven’t watched a single Hallmark movie yet, which is sad because I hear there are some good ones this year. If I only have time to watch a few, which ones are the best? Assuming they are playing repeats ….

    I’m doing a lot of cyber shopping this year. Wow, it is just so easy to click that button instead of fighting traffic and crowds. I think I could actually become a hermit, in a cabin in the middle of nowhere … as long as I had wi-fi.

    Yikes, Miracle, THAT’S super scary too! The after-affects of panic and anxiety are almost worse than anxiety itself- because you know the only way out is through. Only when enough time has passed that your brain becomes accustomed to the fact that the “scary thing” isn’t going to happen again right away, can you begin to relax. But being home with family the rest of the day, making a warm, creamy, salty, pasta-y comforting dinner, Skyping with Grammie and Grampie with Kiddo, and decorating the Christmas tree went a long way to helping me feel better. Heap on the COMFORT! 🙂

    My cell phone NOW has a password screen (a pattern screen), no visible notifications, and will automatically lock itself if it sits alone for 10 minutes! It won’t stop this from happening again, BUT it’ll stop anyone from getting into it!

    When I worked retail, we’d find the odd phone lost in the store. My manager had a genius method to contact the owners: he’d go onto their FB, and just make a post, saying “please tell Samantha that she lost her phone at X store at Y address, and here’s our phone number. We’re holding it for her in the office, if she can come and ID it. Have her ask for [manager’s name].” Super helpful!

    just got my dang dogs done!
    dh went with me on my errands today, so i need to go back out tomorrow………ha ha ha haha
    no really………gearing up for the incoming holiday visit…….cleaned floors today and gonna rearrange some stuff so the tree can go up when dh feels like it…..i have been wrapping stuff and putting it all on our hall tree and it looks lovely!
    put some different color christmas candies in varied mason jars for the table decoration with dds old tiny christmas tree……

    Just thought I’d drop by and say hello 🙂 I hope you all are well and enjoying the holidays! It’s getting colder here, but there’s no snow yet – fingers crossed we’ll get some this month! Snow makes everything look so pretty 😀

    Speaking of snow, my Snowy Retriever Pet Medallion collection is going well so far! 50 down, only 25 more to go I’m excited to “win” this pet!

WOW, plus they are talking about the final Podkinz of the year, they will be releasing something to giveaway that they have never given away, before. Has my interest piqued, for sure.
