Yeee! My rooms! (Ahahaha the bamboo chair isn’t supposed to be at the playground- LOL kiddo loves to place furniture everywhere! I spend so much time cleaning up after him!)
That top room is my Bungalow, the favorite of all my favorite rooms. It’s been my best room from the very beginning, with the first fall fests I participated in- 2008/2009.
Moms, that is an Autumn Fireplace, apparently a 2014 eStore Promo Awesome Autumn Mystery Bag Item. I saw a social media post about friending a user named TreePeanut (whoever they may be), and they claimed to have been playing FOREVER, and would gift new “friends” with 3 awesome items! I added them, and 24 hours later, three gifts from this promo bag appeared in my mail! I was STUNNED! They could have hardly known how much I love fall, but they just happened to send 3 perfect items for my house! The others were the Autumn Fence and the Fall Leaf Swing, which is in my apple orchard. (The fence is elsewhere, in a room I’m still building.) I sent a thank you note via Kinzmail, but the pre-fab messages could scarcely convey my total GLEE and appreciation for these AWESOME items!! Ooops, I haven’t been logged on for so long, I did it wrong.
I know I missed a whole lot of other people, but I am sending positive thoughts and encouragement for all the good, bad or indifferent things going on in you lives.
So this year has been a very difficult year for me and my family. I was in the hospital quarantine at the end of June for 10 days. I tested positive for MRSA as well as 3 other bacterial infections. I had also just had my second eye surgery to repair the detached retina I got for my birthday. My husband was less than supportive in a very big surprising way. I have no choice but to stick it out with him because of finances.
So Karma is always there to get you, for my dh’s birthday he got hit by a car door while he was riding his bike. He got a shattered collarbone and lots of bumps and bangs. Guess who he needed to take care of him and shower him and fetch and carry for him. That has been our October. Of course I am still sick but he is “broken” and I am only sick on the inside.
Any way rant over and here comes the good news. Wednesday I saw the eye specialist and my eye is healing ok, but the scar tissue is creating a point with a little bit of fluid building up, not enough for another surgery.Yay!!!!
Glasses should help and I should be able to drive again.
Second good news, on the Thursday, the dh saw the orthopedic surgeon and he doesn’t think surgery will help the collarbone heal. So no more babysitting for me. Yay!!!!

dee, there is an item in the system called “Goblin Trio KVP NPC”, which translates to Goblin Trio Kinzville Park Non-Player Character, which means there will be a Goblin park event in the near future, and that’s probably how that bench will be released.
CWC, yes, the goblin plushies are out there, but they’re pretty rare. I managed to get two purple ones today, but didn’t get any orange at all. Luckily, the awesome ladies of Gymbo’s had my back!

CrazyWebkinzChic, that is an eStore fireplace, the Countryside Cottage Fireplace Oven; Regular: 6,000KC, Deluxe: 4,500 KC. I originally bought it for the Bungalow, but it was too HUGE and threw off the room. So I built a new room just for it!
Thank you Moms and TLL for more gifties this morning! Another Meadow Window! Welp, now the Bungalow looks different LOL

Hello All!
I wanted to say thank you to everyone for your sweet words about Diesel. It was very very hard to say goodbye, it broke me. But I’m thankful it was peaceful and he had a wonderful last 24 hours. DH grilled him two ribeye steaks and he had nothing but love surrounding him. Coming here to this blog is like getting a big hug from a wonderful friend. Everyone here is so kind, supportive and generous. I am so lucky and glad I found you all.
A big thank you to Mist, Ruby and Catmom for your amazing gifts!!!
Welcome Emma and the new members, you will not find a more supportive great group of people.

CWC – you get the plushie only from the floaty clicky. You can also get the goblin bags, ooze rugs, and goblin PSFs from the floaty. The clubhouse room prizes are the trampoline, chair, lamp, straight creek tile, and curved creek tile. The ooze chests come from community codes, which are posted in the Community Codes section on the right side of your screen. You can see pictures on Webkinz Newz – just type “goblin” in the search bar and it will pull up every post pertaining to the goblin event.

I just have the one account. Husband had one a long time ago (his mom got us our first Webkinz) but he didn’t play much. The formatting on his laptop wasn’t good for Webkinz. I have a ‘kinz on his account, and I wish I could transfer her over to mine. (I could probably get it out of the archive if I wanted.. Hmmmmm) And I spend enough time maintaining this one! π If we’re still playing when Kiddo’s reading, and if he shows interest, I’ll totally get him his own set up. Until then, he’s limited to two 15-minute sessions a day. At least now he has a room of his own to decorate, and a pet of his own to dress. π

So happy that it is Saturday ! Rainy and cold predicted all weekend.. but it is better than snow ! Planning menu for Sunday Family Gathering… No grilling !

moms… hate to complain about work too much… pales in comparison to others struggles…. but am hanging on by a thread…. everyday is horrible… considering seriously about hanging up my scrubs… I pray that I make the right decision …. take one day at a time… Weekends give me time to recharge my mind and keep things in perspective… but thanks for asking !

Good Saturday Morning
West coast weather telling us it is pouring rain. CWC but the sun really did come out, with lot’s of rolling fog. So spooky.

April, I am so sorry about your Diesel. Trust that time will make the ache not so intense. It sounds like he had the perfect family to love him. We lost our 12 year old girl cat this summer. She was our fierce hunter. I promised her when she came to live with us we would never leave her like her first family. She was my dd’s best friend and we held her until she crossed the rainbow bridge
I need to make her a special room on my dd’s old account, we have a room for all our real life pet friends. I love webkinz for so many reasons.
Gaga, I am so sorry your work is causing you so much distress, my best friend is a nurse and she just went through so much hassle and now has to work two different positions, each 1/2 time.

Moms, good thing I finished my coffee before I read the blog. He really is a BIG hp and my rose coloured glasses shattered this summer. However, he gave me the greatest gift this life has to offer, our children. They are young adults now and they have been amazing, driving us to all our appointment and sitting with us and remembering all the stuff we forget. I am truly blessed.

Hi Everyone! I love it when the blog is so active like this! Miss a couple days and it takes an hour to catch up!
Chococat, Catmom, Enchantedisle, Gaga, and April – (((HUGS))) You all are going through so much right now. You are in my thoughts, and I hope that things improve for you. I’ve had a really rough year too, but it’s looking much brighter now. April, I’m so sorry about the loss of precious Diesel. Focus on the wonderful moments you have with him. Think of him daily, and he’ll always be alive with you in your dreams and memories.
TLL – Thank you so much for the updates! I adore those penguin hats and that snowball car! So many cute things coming out. I love the spoilers! Thank you for taking the time to collect that information and those pictures and put all that together for us each month. I know that must be very time consuming, but it is SO greatly appreciated!

I don’t really think of you as a sheriff, so much, more like a protective mother hen. You and Moms. Thank you for taking such great care in keeping this a safe place for everyone.
Puma – I love your room designs! Thank you for posting them! You clearly put a lot of creative thought into your designs. Have you ever sent any to the Webkinz Newz to have them featured? I posted a thread about a year or so ago with a bunch of my room designs. If I can find it, I’ll dig out the link. I haven’t designed much since then, although I have one room that I’ve been working on for several months and should really finish it and post it. Thank you for the inspiration!

For those of you concerned about Patsie, I received a message from her stating that her account has expired. She knows that she needs to adopt another pet to reactivate it, but she’s super busy with work and school right now. She is planning to adopt a new pet soon.
Moms – Thank you for taking the time create a new thread for all the updates! I know that’s time consuming for you, but it makes it so much easier to look back and find things. Sometimes when I’m in the trading room, someone will put up an item that I’m not familiar with. I will do a quick search to see if I can figure out what the item is. Most of the time, I end up finding it here, and then I remember seeing it when the spoilers were first released. Having it in its own thread with easily accessible pictures makes it so much easier to find! Thank you too for updating the wish list page!
Regarding post 110 in the previous thread, Moms, you mentioned wanting an outdoor kitty but fearing to get one due to the coyotes. Here’s something you might consider. Cute story first though. This past spring, a skinny little short haired black cat showed up in our neighborhood. She was hanging out on our next door neighbor’s porch, so I figured he had adopted her. She was so thin; I could see gaps between her rib bones, so I started putting a can of cat food on our patio for her each day. She was very skiddish at first, but over several weeks, she became more and more friendly and would eat all the food I put out. Whenever we would come out of the house, she would jump off our neighbor’s deck and come over to greet us. She loves attention now. She’s very affectionate and purrs when we pet her.
One day, I saw my neighbor in the yard and he asked me if I wanted a cat. He said that he had not adopted her. He already has two indoor male cats and he can’t take another one in, but he felt for her because she’s so thin, so he keeps some dry food in a bowl for her on his porch and lets her hang out there.
I’m in the same boat. I have three indoor cats, two 4-year-old male cats, brothers raised together since their birth, and an elderly, cranky female with severe arthritis who can barely stand the boys. We can’t bring another cat in, and with her being a stray, I would feel the need to get her vaccinated first, as well as the other three, which would cost around $500. We just can’t do that right now, but at the same time, we’ve been really worried about how she will fair this winter.
She roams a lot, but every day for the past 6 month, she comes back to our neighbor’s house to sleep on his porch. When it rains, she often takes shelter under our cars or our grill. I’ve asked people I know if they want a great cat, but nobody wants to take her in. So my husband, daughter and I were trying to figure out what to do with this little cutie.
A few month ago, I started feeding her canned cat food twice a day, and now she looks very healthy. She is a normal weight and her black coat is shiny and so much softer than it used to be. We have seen her hunting mice and moles in our yard on several occasions, and we frequently come out of the house to find little dead rodent gifts from her on our patio. She’s a great little hunter! And she seems to enjoy living outside. I kind of feel like I would be violating her freedom to confine inside my house at this point. So we got to thinking, she doesn’t really need someone to bring her in as long as she has consistent and safe food, shelter, and warmth.
My husband and I decided that instead of bringing her in and officially adopting her, we would just provide her a little house rent free. So we got a cat house for her. It’s adorable! There are quite a few different houses, but what we liked about this one is that it has a rear side escape door and an upper balcony. We also got her an outdoor heated mat to go inside the house. It took her a week or so to get comfortable with it, but now it’s her primary residence. It will provide warmth for her during the winter. It gives her shelter from the rain. In the summer, she can lay on the upper balcony under the roof for shade, but still be able to catch a breeze. She’s perfectly independent. I just feed her a couple times a day. She comes and goes from her little house as she pleases, and she hunts rodents. We give her love and attention every day. I don’t get too attached to her like I do my indoor babies, because I know that she is free and may not come home some day. But we’re friends. Neighbors. She has her little house, and we have ours. And we enjoy seeing each other every day.
We actually enjoy her so much and love that she helps cut down on the rodent population that we will probably always keep an outdoor cat around. I hope she has a long, healthy life with us, but if she ever leaves and doesn’t come back, we may adopt another outdoor cat.
A few years ago, my daughter and I volunteered for a local non-kill shelter. One thing we found out is that there are some cats who come to the shelter that are too wild or feral to be placed for adoption with a family. Sometimes agencies will try for years to place them without success, and those cats end up staying in foster care, which usually means living in a small cage in someone’s house or garage or barn. Other cats get euthanized because nobody wants them.
So here’s a thought if you like the idea of having an outdoor kitty around. Talk to some local cat adoption agencies and the SPCA. Let them know that you’re interested in an outdoor cat, that you can provide it a nice, warm house for heat and shelter and that you will feed it every day. So if they have any cats who are accustomed to living outdoors and unable to be placed due to their temperament, that you could provide it a home.
I would not do this with a sweet kitten who has a good chance of finding a family who will adopted it, but not all cats, especially adult cats, want to be confined indoors. We have a lot of problems with coyotes in our neighborhood too, but this little black kitty that we have is quite adept at staying alive. She has survived at least 6 months outdoors on her own. Most often, the pets who fall prey to coyotes, are ones who are confined outside by leash or small fenced in areas, where they have no escape route.
The way I see it, it’s a trade off. This cat doesn’t have the protection of living inside with us, but she has the freedom to live where she wants. And living here with a warm cat house of her own and food in a bowl every day is a lot better than living in a cage or being euthanized. Even if she does end up getting hit by a car or attacked by a coyote some day, my hope is that her quality of life while she is here is good. And from what I can see, I think she’s very happy with her living situation now. After all, she chooses to live here. She has adopted us.
So just something to think about. Food, warmth, and shelter for a difficult-to-place cat may be a mutually beneficial arrangement for you and the cat. The adoption agency may even give you the cat at no cost since it’s considered a “non-placeable” cat. If you like this idea and consider doing this, I would probably start by setting the cat house up in a basement or garage temporarily. When the cat first comes home, it will not feel like “home” to the cat. Everything will be unfamiliar, and it may run away. But if you give it a week or two to get its smell in the cat house and to associate it with food and comfort, like warmth, it will be much more likely to associate that house with “home” when moved outside, and therefore, more likely to keep coming back.

and for any others……….i am seeking (been googling and not finding what i want)………is a recipe to roast a roast in the oven with fixins…….meaning taters and carrots and whatnot………an old neighbor had a recipe for something she called tears of the lamb…………she made it at easter and the lamb dripped down into the potatoes and carrots and whatnot as it was roasting………
it was yumtastic! not sure if there is a beef roast version. I usually crockpot my roasts, but we did score some nice pieces of meat at the commissarry. I COULD do them seperate…………but what sense is that?
and yes i know beef cooks different than veggies. I have a good roast beef recipe………..

What is the smallest amount of estore points you can buy? I’ve never bought anything from the estore before, so i’m not too familiar with how it works. I’ve been accumulating points from my deluxe membership and i noticed i only need 1500 more to get the vampire kitten, but i don’t want to have to buy a bunch of points i probably wont use in order to get it. Is there an option where you can select exactly how many you want, or is it just in preselected amounts?
Got some studying done for my midterm, but i took a ‘break’ and i should be back to studying by now, but i’m procrastinating on webkinz. Bad idea.

RUBY you rooms! I’ve never “met” anyone who made those kinds of rooms, the “super in-depth” with all the dimension going on, and layers- I LOVE them! I never tried to make a room like that- I don’t know if I have the spacial skills for all the balance and overlapping. I think I need to up my room game! π
The orchard is absolutely fantastic! Definitely going to tweak mine if I ever splurge on a building to focus it around. I love how the paths in between the trees are still functional for pets.

Your log cabin room is great. I had been using my rock ledges and bits for other accents here and there, but now I’m considering gathering them all up and making something like that. The wallpapers make it, too. I think the treehouse resort is my favorite of the ones you posted. Can pets still maneuver to the treehouse bed, and other buildings, or is that a room that’s more for effect and less for living in? I always wondered that about those super-done-up rooms.

Momz – Oh, i see. I’ve seen previous mentions of words containing those three letters get comments thrown in the trashbin as well. I guess the censor is super picky.
The points are on my account, i think, they show up at the top by my family score and kinzcash. If i were to buy some would they go on my account with those points, or would they be separate on my estore account? Never bothered to figure out how all of that worked.
Love that goblin room! Very cute. I always make my rooms so the pets can get through all the doors, but my storage rooms are another story. I have no problem putting a big item in front of those doors and if the pets can’t get through, that’s their problem! I can only think of two non-storage rooms with blocked doors, one is blocked by trees and the other is blocked by the waterfall superbed thing, so the pet can just lay on it for a second to get passed.

Today is another rainy cold day in CLE… Serving strip roast..mashed potatoes and a green bean casserole… For dessert our favorite cake which is a distance to pick up but well worth it !

we went to an auction preview earlier today……..lots of nice stuff, lots of junk….
we shall see if we bid on anything………it is an online auction with a local company that has previews, so that you are not just buying blind. we have dealt with them before, so we know they are reputable

Dee, the onions and garlic go into the pot with the butter and make the sauce. The tomatoes and greens just go into the casserole dish chopped, with the pasta (cooked) and chicken, (shredded). You mix them together, and pour the sauce on top. Fold together, and bake

Puma – Thank you for the compliments on my room designs! It took a LONG time to dress all those pets and take them to the party room. LOL. But I love rooms that include pets in the theme. I mainly design rooms for the aesthetic, but I’m pretty obsessive about making sure they still work functionally too. When I see rooms featured on Webkinz Newz and they have furniture blocking a doorway or they’ve used a forest type background in a room that has doors on the walls, it drives me crazy. I’m like, it’s a forest! Forests don’t have random doorways in the middle of trees. But then I remind myself that some of those designs may be made by kids, so I’m probably being too harsh! My treehouse room is fully functional. The top of the thing in the upper corner is only for decoration. It’s not even a house. I think it’s a Wshop fridge. But all of the bridges that lead from the middle gazebo to the beds work, so my pets can walk throughout the treehouse.
I hope everyone here is doing well. I won’t have much time to post over the next couple days. I’m making my daughter’s Halloween costume this year. She has not gone trick-or-treating for the past few years because she felt like she was too old, but this year she has a group of friends who want to go and invited her to come with them. They’re all doing Cosplay (anime) characters. The costume she wanted me to buy for her was going to be $120, and that’s just the dress. The wig and boots put the outfit over $200. So I be like no, not for an outfit you’re going to wear once. But she gave me those sweet pouty eyes and said, “Please, mama? If you can’t afford to buy it, could you make one for me?” And this darn kid has me wrapped around her finger.
So… I’ve been working on this dress for the past week, and it’s not an easy one, and I have no pattern. I’m just winging it. So far, it’s turning out very well. The dress itself with all its ruffles is finally done, but I still have to add sleeves and accents, and then I have to alter some pants for her, so this is taking a lot of my time right now and probably won’t be finished until Wednesday. She is so excited about it though, so that makes it all worth it! Other than trying to finish up my candy collection and snagging some purple goblin prizes, I won’t have much time for Webkinz the next few days. I hope everyone has a safe and super fun Halloween!

I went to ladies’ retreat this weekend. We had a book swap. I picked up a “short” book on 20 rules & tools of a great marriage. The thing that grabbed me was that one sign of a good marriage was going to bed at the same time. Hmmm….I need to contemplate on that one. I’m a night owl and my husband likes to wake up with the sun. LOL! Anyway, we have made it this far. 36 years.
And I really don’t need any more books!
I did finish all my candy collections. I don’t have time to catch floaties, but I was able to collect the bare minimum of purple goblins for my family before I went away this weekend. I think I’ve finished the challenges, but I should probably double-check!
Speaking of food: I’ve not done a pot-roast in the oven, Dee! FYI- Tomatoes tenderize the beef. That is why it is often called for in recipes. I used to put tomato sauce with my venison roast during the years that my dh went hunting, especially for the deer he shot that was really old and tough!
