Mellow In Yellow
This is the room that I designed that gaga let me know was on WKN! I just spontaneously decorated it recently, wanting to combine indoor and outdoor in a happy room, so I called it Mellow in Yellow.

Bepsy- you have no idea how many times I had to save toddler from feeding the Chocolate Eggs to the pets while they were in my dock waiting to be mailed! LOL WHOOPS, figures somebody ate them in the end. I hope they were delicious. (For real, tho, that’s irritating as all get out. I’m sorry that happened!!)

Well puma, if its any consolation they went to my first pet ever which is a pink poodle named Lucy. She did seem to enjoy them despite my frustration. I was kind of frustrated for your sake as well.
momskinz they were the old chocolate eggs from the Easter gifts 2006 to 2011.

That’s also a very pretty room, very spring-y. I often find it difficult to put together designed rooms rather than pre-themed rooms or ones that are too cluttered.

From the responses I’ve gotten it seems like the floaties are only in the rooms now. Right? I used to be able to get them on the newspaper page, kinzville academy, today’s activities, the arcade (not during games), the park, clubhouse & quizzy’s. But I haven’t seen them anywhere except the rooms this time. Oh, with the exception of mobile. I have seen a few floaties in the W-shop.
Thankfully, I got the green goblin plushy for my dd yesterday. She has started playing more regularly as a diversion to her studies. She loves the jumbleberry blast as I mentioned earlier.
Now I’m trying for one more green goblin plushy for my granddaughter. 🙂
She loves the plushies. However, I maintain her account because she doesn’t have much screen time. Webkinz is usually something we do when she is visiting me.

YAY after another day of pouches and parfaits, I finally got Patsie a goblin plushie!
My mom visited the old shop I used to work at in MI that sold Webkinz, and did some scouting. She sent pictures of shelves FULL of husky puppies, Morkies, Scruffy puppies, leopard cubs, lionesses, Old English Sheepdogs, Zebra foals, Holidoodles, Ostrishes, King Schnauzers, pink and white dogs, ragdoll cats, buterscotch bunnies and MORE! *glee* And they were able to put in an order for a Sweet spice cat for me! Bummer I have to wait until her next visit in a month to get it, but I’d rather have the plushie with it.

dee the debacle is as such: I somehow accidentally fed my pet the chocolate eggs from the older Easter gifts from 2006 – 2011 when I meant to put them into a fridge, therefore causing my frustration.

I need to vent… again… sorry… feel free to ignore. I know I’ve been nothing but a debbie downer lately, but I don’t really have anywhere else to talk about this and keeping it in isn’t good and tends to make things worse, so I just need to get it out. I don’t have anyone in my life right now that I feel comfortable talking to this about, but I’ve always found comfort in talking online. This month has been the absolute worst and there’s so much going on in my life and it seems like every day I get some sort of bad news. It’s not always /bad/ bad, some are more like disappointing, but when you combine it with everything else that’s going on, it adds up. I’m not even exaggerating when I say every day for that, I could literally list out every bad/disappointing thing per day for the past week. I know I talk about drowning in school work so it probably seems like that’s the issue, but there’s some pretty serious things going on that I apologize for not being able to elaborate on because it’s not really my issue, but in a way it is because it greatly affects me as well. I feel powerless because there’s not a single thing I can do to help the situation, I just have to deal with whatever happens.

Bepsy – are there any specific ones you need? Or other old holiday foods? I have a bunch of stuff in fridges, but I’ve started feeding them to pets. If you (or anyone else) wants a specific older holiday food I can see what I have because I do have a decent amount that will eventually get eaten if it stays on my account.

choco – honey, i’m so sorry you are going through so much and feel so overwhelmed right now – we support you – we have cheered for you for so long! were you in middle school when we first “met”??? do you have faith? I am a Christian and find prayer works so well for me when I feel so overwhelmed or helpless. If that isn’t “your thing”, maybe some extra time for you – I have always said “put them in water” when my kiddos have been stressed – a nice bath or shower, plenty of water to drink, and plenty of sleep do everyone a world of good.
I hope everything is okay with the people in your life – physically and mentally – and remember to take care of you!

Momz – I am not religious. My mom is religious and I attended church growing up, but my beliefs differ. And I was in middle school when I found the blog! I think I found it during the summer between 7th and 8th grade.
What I need is some extra time, but with my school work, I don’t have that. I need a day to do nothing, but I can’t, it would cause more problems than it would solve.

Wish the appreciation days started at midnight like they used to. I remembered about it and went on at night and in the morning but I was asleep by the time it started for the day and then didn’t think of it when got on the computer around 10 pm. Not asking for anything, just venting. Have plenty of clothes.

I learned about a free place for talking to people end of last year called Discord. As long as your computer or phone is on wifi. A few months ago I set up one for the blog and talked to Momskinz about it. But I got sick and didn’t do anything further with it. Feel some better now so going to post a link to it for anyone who would like to join. It would allow adult gymbo’s members the ability to talk to each other in voice. Now that the kids don’t play much and for many at all can make it a somewhat quieter activity that it once was. It is much easier to post images on Discord. It is also useful for reminders about activities. There is an announcement channel. It however is not for visiting in text, only in voice. There was talk awhile back about a get together I though this might be a way we could sort of have that without plane tickets involved. You need to join Discord but it is pretty easy. Also only Discord sees any emails and IP info not the person running the server so it removes some of the security issues some people have. It can be used for sharing information between two individuals without having to give out an email. Or for giving out alerts that are private without email.

I’ve heard of Discord through Pokemon Go, but never felt like signing up. I know 0 about it. So there’s no text-based interface at all? It’s all voice/audio? Ooh, I hope, even if people move to Discord, that there’ll still be a text-based presence here. There’s something soothingly “distant” and “safe” about using text to communicate, in spite of the awkwardness of it sometimes. And I find it much easier, quicker, and more convenient to follow conversations via text- you can skim and scroll at your own pace to get caught up, and go back to double-check information- if you get behind on messages on Discord, do you need to sit for a long time to listen and catch up? or do you just miss conversations and you just don’t get to hear them? I know I’m a new member here still, and my opinion holds very little among this close-knit group of old friends, but I’m hoping to continue to use this blog. Voice/audio-based communication just doesn’t mesh well with my lifestyle with toddler. I can barely call my mom LOL because kiddo comes running to take the phone!! 😀

Only people who join the discord can see the open announcements and screen shots. You have to be one step further and be an accepted member to access the voice channels. There are three right now. One that is general that any member can pop into, one just for administration and a third that only two people can be in. Discord has a private message and private call feature you can use with someone you share a server with. There is no recording of voices. The idea is to supliment the blog. Thought it might help for those with physical issues or time crunches. This would allow multitasking for some. Could have planned get togethers. Would allow that contest with codes to function easier. We can temporarily add text channels if needed for an activity.

So basically a closed group party line and the ability to have a phone type conversation without having to give out your phone number. I have it on my computer and my phone. I talk to my friends in ESO while I play webkinz sometimes.

The announcements are text. So those can be scrolled through. Was thinking things like reminders to do stuff and those can be sent to all members. I made a members only announcement channel for the special allerts. Any member can send out either type of message. It is kind of hard to explain. Pretty much just have to see it to understand.

It didn’t take me very long to join discord been months so I don’t remember all the details. Make sure you only make one account if you put it on both devices. I made the mistake of only half way doing it on one before starting the other and ended up with two. Was able to fix it though.

My OD uses it for Pokémon Go. My YD has a school friend who runs a server for their friend group. They just use the text part. My husband’s robotics team usues discord to communicate with each other.

You can talk to more than one person in the private calls too. If the computer is in the kitchen or you were on speaker on your phone you could be cooking and trying out a recipe together or visiting with friends while they are doing something on their computer.

Basically you set up the server for what you need as a group. It can be changed as needed. It can get a bit boring playing a game over and over for a challenge thought it might be fun to be able to visit with someone else or several someone elses doing the same thing Honestly it is unlikely I will be on at the same time as most of you I tend to be on the computer late. If something specific was planned I could likely try and be around. I ended up inheriting the discord for the ESO guild. I am coguild master. We have over 500 members. I haven’t learned everything yet but I am experiened with managing one. Been a few months.

(This it totes off topic, but I missed where Gaga asked about the store that still sells Webkinz- it’s in Lansing, MI, called Preuss Pets! It’s actually a family-owned pet store!! Mostly fish, and “exotics” (they use the term “appropriate pets”- you’ll find snakes, chinchillas, and parrots, but no alligators or ocelots other inappropriate household pets), but they do have dog and cat supplies too. But they have real-live shelves of real-live plush kinz for sale!)

If nothing else and if the idea of talking in voice is not your cup of tea. You can post screen shots of your rooms on your own. Take the picture. Go in screenshots channel. Click on the plus sign or paperclip on the corner of where you type. Click on the picture where it is saved and it downloads it right on to the server channel.

Here is what it the discord looks like. Kept it pretty simple. You just click on a voice channel to join it. There is a disconnect button that looks like a phone. The microphone you can mute yourself and headset make it so you can’t hear.
