Remember to enter the Webkinz Community Codes that expire on Friday, August 31st, if you haven’t entered them yet.
Remember to keep logging in for your daily apple from the Today’s Activities Page and the prizes from the Super School Giveaway including the new Marching Band Uniform.
You can receive the prizes from the Super School Giveaway if you use the Webkinz app but you can not receive the apple from the app. The giveaways including the free apple from the Today’s Activities Page end on Friday, September 7th. The apples can be sent to Ms. Cowoline for the Super School Community Challenge.
Don’t forget to complete the August Deluxe Challenge if you want the Whimsy Dragon Poster and Whimsical Rocker for your Webkkinz and are a Deluxe Member. The Whimsy Dragon Poster is an old prize but the Whimsical Rocker is new.
Remember to complete the Wacky Challenge on or before Friday, August 31st, if you want the Wacky Scooter and Trophy Pedestal that are prizes for completing the challenge. The Wacky Scooter is a new prize but the Wacky Trophy Pedestal is an old prize.
Remember to be working on the Super School Challenge because some of the tasks take time and there are two parts to this challenge. There are also several new prizes for this challenge. This challenge ends on Friday, September 7th.
Don’t forget that there are floating Wacky Lemon Ice Pops and Kinzville Academy Buses on Webkinz Newz. The Wacky Lemon Ice Pops can be used to complete a task for the Wacky Challenge and the Kinzville Academy Buses give you a WKN Academy Gift Box (that have new Marching Band Outfit clothing as a prize).
The Wacky Lemon Ice Pops will stop floating at 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on Friday, August 31st and the Kinzville Academy Buses will stop floating on Friday, September 7th.
If you want to enter the Webkinz Newz Share Center Contests, don’t forget that the The Underwater Room Contest ends today (Tuesday, August 28th) and that the School Spirit Poster Contest ends on Friday, September 7th.

I asked E-Store to put back for sale the SECLUDED Bath tub. It looks like a BIRD BATH . BUT I use a SLIME and Ghost costumes for Halloween . WHEN you use these the PETS HEAD is all that shows up in the tub. Its cool like in the movie Haunted Mansion several of these in front of a spooky house and you have talking heads !!

dee… dd’s first apartment !! Another milestone ! Sounds like you have all of the essentials.. I think every new household needs a cast iron pan.. can be used on stove top/oven.. and she will have forever…Sixty thousand converging on one city sounds like a nightmare… but I am sure it will all work out..

Sorry, Momz, I haven’t posted lately … last minute vacation, school starting, makeup work, soccer practice … we are hauling ourselves to bed every night and dragging ourselves out of it every morning. Whew! Really looking forward to that holiday weekend already.
Thanks for the post, Patsie! I’ve been trying to keep up, at least on one account, but just barely.
Very hot here, as well. Kids played a soccer game in 95+ degree weather yesterday. Yuck! Thankfully, the coach keeps a close eye on all of them and makes them take a lot of water breaks.
I finally got a Mod TV yesterday, too, Sheba. I thought I was going to run out of month, but finally! I think I have one or two left to get on the mobile wheel, but maybe I’ve missed it … they usually change those during update Wednesdays? Can’t wait to see Lurker’s post later today. Always so fun and informative … 🙂

Hey everyone! I’m sorry I’ve been MIA this summer. I’ve been focusing on work and school for the past few months, so I’ve had very little time for WW on top of real life stuff. Thanks to those who emailed me and I apologize for not responding sooner 🙂
I’m about to go back to school, so I’m afraid I won’t have time for WW in the near future. I’m not “quitting” the game per se, but I’m not going to be on very much, and I won’t be obsessed over collecting all of the new items like I’ve been in the past. (Read as: please do not send me acorn requests. I love the gesture, but I won’t be logging in often enough to be much help. You can send me postcards/letters instead; I love those and will always respond when I open them!) I will still log in from time to time; I even did so this summer– I finished the Wacky challenge, school challenge, and deluxe challenge! I even made a few rooms. I periodically checked back in the eStore and WKN to see the updates, and of course I check Gymbos after every maintenance, but I hope to be on here much more often than that in the future. I really love Fall and Halloween in WW, so expect to see me on more during that time. I’m already excited about the Autumn Ridge Wallpaper that they are advertising in the estore, and the little goblins look pretty cute too.
I was reading back, and I noticed that Moms asked everyone to update their wishlists, and I encourage everyone to do so again, and add more items to them! I realize I have no need for a lot of my items, so I’m going to be giving some away to the Gymbos members who have been here for a while. And if you’re new, make a wishlist and maybe you’ll get something too! This blog is an amazing place full of the friendliest, kindest, and most generous players in the whole game; they’ve helped me with everything from finishing collections, giving advice about room designs, giving advice about real life things, and just always being around to talk about anything. Anyway, please update or make a wishlist!
Real life stuff: I just got back from a super fun vacation to Acadia National Park in Maine, and then went up the coast to New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. It was amazing!! I was outside the entire time (camped every night for 6 nights), did lots of hikes and biking and other things. I was completely disconnected from everything back home, so now I’m playing catchup with a HUGE to-do list of things that need to get done before going back to school this weekend.
I hope everyone has an awesome update Wednesday! I can’t wait to see the spoilers!

The Dark Queen Door seems to be a dispenser, with the spiders being its food. The Creepy Swamp Lantern goes with the Creepy Swamp theme. The Sour Apple tree is an upcoming candy tree, and Autumn Ridge is the next Room with a View theme. There are Autumn Trees that go with the Autumn Ridge items, but we don’t have a picture yet.
Fall at the estore. Top row: Brilliant Fall Bed, Brilliant Fall Curtains, Brilliant Fall Sofa, Brilliant Fall Rug. QoS, Moms can make you an author. Making a wishlist is really easy. In the meantime, if you have any wants you can just make a list in the comments here and add it to your post later. Also- thanks for the code. I added it to the community code list!
My to-do list came to a halt today because my mom decided today was the perfect day to make salsa. My mom grew *literally* hundreds of pounds of tomatoes and various peppers. I spent the last 2 hours cutting up tomatoes, broiling them, then peeling them. They’re all draining now. Then I diced all the peppers, including the jalepenos and now I’m all hot and sweaty. Word of advice– don’t make salsa when it’s 90°F outside. Next we have to boil all of it in a large pot (it looks like we might have at least 4 large pots full) and then can it. We’re going to have salsa for the next ten years. Hopefully I can bring a few jars back to school with me; college students love salsa.

Hi I am a grandma. Started my addiction playing with a grandson who is now 17. I have over 250 Webkinz and playing fills my void. My husband died 3 years ago and Webkinz just grew from there.My husband bought me my 1st dog before he died a PEEK-a -Pom black with a star on her chest . Rose will snuggle and just love me up . I am a cat lady but she turned my heart. Cant imagine life without her. My boys are in there 40’s . All have their own lives now. I can handle this as long as Webkinz is around. I have looked at your blog for years you are so way above the rest in knowing whats going on. But when I saw the goblins I wanted to tell someone so I popped in to say Hi. MomT, very nice to meet you! we have some things in common. I have two girls in their 40’s. I’m a gramma whose younger granddaughter gave me first webkinz, the gray squirrel, because I feed the squirrels in our yard. She and her twin brother are now 16. Other daughters daughter is 17 and driving! where does time go? I’m afraid to actually count how may webkinz I have. Many are still in bags and unadopted; including signatures and endangered species. Look forward to seeing you here at gymbos! 🙂

momt – you fit in perfectly here – i’m in the age range of your kiddos, and my sons (i affectionately refer to them as “the warthogs” on here) are teens, so like your grandchildren. Gymbo’s is “good company” – we have great people here who are so generous not only in WW but just in sharing and caring in general. i’m so happy you drew my attention to those adorable goblins, too – my youngest’s birthday is Halloween, so I have a special love for all of the halloween pets. who are we kidding … i really just love webkinz! like gramma, i do NOT count my webkinz – it’s actually a rule in my house – NO COUNTING THE WEBKINZ! LOL i have a lot of accounts and a lot of pets and plenty still not adopted … it’s a wonderful addiction ♥

Hello and welcome MomT.
I actually managed to get on for deluxe day this month so I have an extra wacky slip in slide thing if anyone needs it.
OD was taken back to State on Monday. She has the room to herself so far, as her roommate decided to not return to school after all. At least the suite mates introduced themselves this year. Seem nice enough. Her GF is bringing her home for the long weekend. I am still wore out from Monday. First apartment that is exciting Dee. I think OD plans to stay in the dorms at least for undergrad. YD starts HS on Tuesday. Poor kid got gym first period. Hoping the asthma won’t be too much of an issue. At least she is getting it over with. Off to try and finish up what I can on the challenge stuff and put in codes. Thank you for the updates and game info. Going to have to find more time to play in September, acorn items are cute.

tmt – ahhhhh! i loved getting to live alone in college! the housing people let me have a room to myself my last two years – it was SO much better 🙂
and that’s too bad about PE first … i figured out years ago that my warthogs could fulfill that graduation requirement in an online class, so my oldest did it over the summer. luckily the middle school started offering it to a few of the 8th graders, so my youngest completed it then but is now taking the health requirement online so he gets to come home early for his last class to be virtual

Thanks for the update post, Lurker! I love looking through all of the newness, although sometimes it is a little overwhelming. I think I finally have my wish list pretty final, and then they add more things to the wish factory, changed up the academy prizes, etc. I guess I’ll have to start sending my pet back to school!

Muffin, I think you did the wish list right. Mine did the same thing when I posted, and I begged Momz to push the date back a week so it wouldn’t be the first thing on the blog page. She took care of everything! After that, it is easy to update and doesn’t go back on top every time you edit it.
