Hey everyone! Hope you all are having a great day so far!

Moms, I agree! Love the floaters (bake sale and fish). Always something to keep you paying attention! I was pleasantly surprised to find the campkinz scuba top as part of the tomato clown fish prize pool! I’ve been looking for that other fish on newz as much as possible, but have been pretty unlucky with getting new scuba clothes. I’ve gotten the lifejackets for like the past three days! So if anybody needs more lifejackets, just let me know! 🙂

Also, super excited because I just traded for marshmallow hat today as I thought it was adorable!! Pretty much all my estore comes from trading lol.

Just got to read up from the week. I missed Deluxe day too momskinz. Second month in a row. Is particularly annoying given how many deluxe accounts and means not having extra to share. Finding myself not getting to log in for a week at a stretch lately. Came here but don’t feel up to playing at the moment. Nothing serious been dealing with sinus infections/eye infections that just won’t clear up for months. Finally sent me to a specialist, if this latest attempt doesn’t work then cat scan and some sort of balloon procedure to open sinuses up. Went to see Ant Man and Wasp it was good and been watching the third season of The Magicians with Hubby and YD. We went to visit my parents last week and spent some time in Frankenmuth. Took OD’s girlfriend with us to meet my parents and shop at a cool bead store by them. She makes bracelets.

    Congrats on the house April.

Hugs to Otterkinz. Hope things settle for you in time.

Sorry you’re having a summer cold Dee those nasty germs should be sticking to the winter where they belong.

Eep Ruby, two surgeries in one summer that is a lot for a young lady to deal with. Hopefully those procedures will have her feeling better over all once the recovery period passes.

Waves to LL thanks for the ww info.

I read a bunch more but it is getting jumbled hugs to everyone else that needs them.

Happy Sunday! I just have a few minutes to jump on and say thank you to Loop for the scuba tank and flippers! And to Cheese for the lantern tree, mod and glam pieces!

I remember before I met you all here at gymbos, I would be sad when I just couldn’t get that elusive prize from the wheel, etc., in the time they gave us, but now, all I have to do is mention I haven’t gotten them yet, and WHAM! SMACK into my inbox they come! You guys are the greatest!

That being said, Muffin, if you send me a FR, I can send you what I have doubles of! Very nice being part of a community!

Cheese – thank you so much for your amazing surprise gift!! I loved it! Sent you a little something back in return! Hope you like it 🙂

Miracle – Aww, thanks so much for your offer! I can definitely send a friend request your way later today! I’m rtyipy567 as my WWID. (Now goes to check your wish list lol)

Thanks to everyone for keeping up the generous spirit!!! ♥ I love this community, but ya’ll make it so hard to know how to thank you properly!!! 😉

tmt – hope you are feeling all better very soon! I had sinus surgery last year, and it made the biggest difference! he corrected my deviated septum and removed a cyst. I just hope you start feeling better. One of our VERY generous friends sent me two of the sprinklers, so I sent you one of those. I think it’s neat that your OD’s gf makes bracelets – I have always thought Viva bracelets are pretty with their clay beads

Hi all. Amber, TMT, Muffin, Miracle, and everyone else I haven’t seen in a while, Hugs! Good to see you!

Amber – ME sounds like an absolute delight! I love and miss the baby days. There’s no feeling in the world like cuddling your little one. How are YOU doing? How’s your hubby?

Miracle – Your house sounds like mine. It’s an old farm house, built in the 30’s or 40’s according the house inspector. We thought it would be fun to buy an old home and fix it up. It has been way more work than we realized. I hope your shutters turn out nice!

TMT – I hope your sinus/eye problems clear up soon. That sounds frustrating. My daughter, husband, and I went to see Ant Man last weekend too. We enjoyed it, but not as much as the first one. Of all the Marvel movies, Ant Man and Guardians of the Galaxy tend to be my favorites because I love the humor. I didn’t think this Ant Man was nearly as funny as the first.

My daughter’s recovery from her first surgery is going very well. She is only taking pain medicine a couple times a day now instead of around the clock. Her best friend came over and spent the night last night. They spent more time giggling than sleeping, but I’m okay with that. It means my daughter is happy and not thinking about her ankle.

We’ve had a big heat wave here too, very little rain. My grass is turning brown and I haven’t had to cut it in over a week. I’m watching the weather closely. If it goes much longer, I will put down soaker hoses. I worry less about the grass and more about the foundation of my house if it gets too dry. Years ago, we had major foundation damage due to a drought. But the forecast shows quite a bit of rain over the next week, so I’m going to give it a few more days. I hate using water on the lawn during the summer if I don’t have to. If I do, I put my soaker hoses on during the night and turn them off during the day.

Did anyone happen to get an extra cupcake cottage in the seed mystery box? If so, I would offer very generously for it. I have a lot of cottages or other items that I would be happy to trade for it (newer psi, promo, mystery, and other stuff). I can list the items I have to offer if anyone has it.

    Thanks!

When it comes to ice cream, I have one word: Graeters. It is pricier than most, but totally worth it. Graeters is one of Cincinnati’s favorite local businesses, and their ice cream is the real deal. Huge chunks of chocolate in rich creamy ice cream. It doesn’t have to be national ice cream day for me to splurge on some of that (although it’s a nice excuse)! I love most of their flavors, but the Toffee Chip is my absolute favorite. Yummm! My husband and daughter love the Raspberry Chocolate Chip, which is also delicious!

Hi everyone. It has been an entire week since I checked back in and i see A LOT has been posted. So sorry to hear of everyone’s challenges. I feel privileged that you all feel comfortable enough to share life experiences with us.

So much going on in WW. I wouldn’t be able to keep up without the help of people’s posts and updates.

I’m making pizza for dinner. I make the dough and toppings. With with such varying tastes everyone assembles their own. Mine starts with a base of pesto sauce layered with kalamata olives, pineapple, roasted peppers and onions, roasted garlic, fresh parmesan cheese, garden basil and large chunks of goat cheese….yummy! Is is so hot, I think I’ll celebrate national ice cream day with a small bowl of chocolate truffle (my favourite).

Thank you moms and nitabuggy for the roadtrip clothes.. they came in handy for my challenges on FB!! Let me know if you want them back.

    Good morning!

Hope everyone is feeling better that were fighting various illnesses or recovering from various surgeries! Just found out today that my dad has Shingles (again). It isn’t as painful if he stays still.

I totally missed ice cream day! I go in spurts with ice cream. I’m supposed to avoid dairy, but every once in a while the temptation is too strong.

Glad to be done with Deluxe Challenge and trying to collect as many marshmallows as I can before I go on another road trip later this week.

The customer appreciation shoes are quite cute! 😉 Thanks for posting the code, Dee.

    April1013 ‘s Blueberry Cornbread Recipe:

    Blueberry Cornbread

1½ tablespoons cornmeal, plus 1 cup (5 ounces)
    1½ cups (7½ ounces) all-purpose flour
¾ cup (5¼ ounces) plus 1 tablespoon sugar
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    ¾ teaspoon salt
    1 cup whole milk
    12 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
    2 large eggs
    10 ounces (2 cups) blueberries

If you use a dark-colored cake pan, reduce the baking time in step 3 to 35 to 40 minutes. You can use frozen blueberries; if doing so, leave the berries in the freezer until the last possible moment and toss them with 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour before stirring them into the batter. Then, increase the baking time to 45 to 50 minutes. Serve with our recipe for Honey Butter.

    1. Adjust oven rack to middle position and heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease bottom and sides of light-colored 9-inch round cake pan, then dust pan with 1½ tablespoons cornmeal.

    2. Whisk flour, ¾ cup sugar, baking powder, salt, and remaining 1 cup cornmeal together in large bowl. Whisk milk, melted butter, and eggs together in second bowl (butter may form clumps; this is OK). Stir milk mixture into flour mixture until just combined. Stir in blueberries until just incorporated. Transfer batter to prepared pan and smooth top with rubber spatula. Sprinkle remaining 1 tablespoon sugar over top.

    3. Bake until golden brown and paring knife inserted in center comes out clean, 40 to 45 minutes. Let cornbread cool in pan on wire rack for 20 minutes. Run paring knife between cornbread and side of pan. Remove cornbread from pan and let cool on rack for 20 minutes. Serve warm.

    Honey Butter

    4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
    2 tablespoons honey
    ¼ teaspoon salt
    Pinch cayenne pepper

Using fork, mash all ingredients in bowl until combined.

For some reason I thought cornbread had corn in it. Can you tell that I’ve never tried cornbread before. My daughter has been making blueberry lemon scones lately. They are really good but made with heavy cream AND butter. Needless to say, I’ve been gaining weight.
Off to work. Thank you For posting the codes Dee and the Kefta recipe…they look yummy! Glad you can taste again.
