I’m wondering if the Ganz team will decide to release the posters as community codes since this seems to be a big mess. I’ve been switching in and out of rooms for the past hour trying to find the hosts. Luckily I got to meet Mandy randomly outside of her time. Today was my only free day to try to find them, too.

HOSTS – I gave up on finding the hosts in the rooms. I asked them all to be my friends. Sally accepted and sent me the signed poster! I haven’t heard from the others yet.

hey oh
was out and about so only could look for steve…..which he was in newz room, but i had friended him already, so could not friend him again to get anything!
and he never sent anything from when i friended him yesterday…..so this is a major hoops to jump thru thing!
but dh and i got our new glasses today! his look fine………as in mighty fine!

Sorry haven’t been around.
My husband had some kind of fainting spell, might be his heart..not sure yet. He fell and broke his leg and ripped all the ligaments off his foot…now he is in rehab..had to have emergency surgery.

So far I’ve been keeping up with ww..not really b playing..just getting the new,stuff..I’ll have time to play after my hubby comes home..this house is,too quiet without him. .and our furbabies miss him..though I have taken his cat in to see him 4 times ..and he,was a big hit at rehab…and such a good kitty..

Enchantedisle – I’m sorry to hear about all the struggles you’ve had lately! I hope things start to improve. You and your hubby are in my thoughts! My hubby is still in outpatient rehab recovering from his broken leg in January. It’s a journey! I’m glad your kitty got to visit him. 🙂
Thank you all for the kind birthday wishes! Unfortunately, neither my birthday nor my plans to surprise my daughter with her room makeover went quite as planned.
My husband and I have been working on this old house since we bought it 8 years ago, so we figured… this is a small bedroom. We should easily be able to get it done before she gets home. LOL. We completely underestimated how long this was going to take! Putting down the new laminate flooring took us four days! My husband was like, oh I laid my brother’s floor in a day and it was a lot bigger than this room. We can easily do this in a day. What he didn’t factor in is that he was 25 when he laid his brother’s floor, not 42, and he worked in construction, not at a desk, and he hadn’t just broken his leg a few months earlier. And we thought we’d be able to set up the saws on the patio to cut the wood, but it rained and snowed those entire four days, so we had to set up in the basement. So he was going up and down the stairs for every cut, and he had to take a lot of breaks because of his ankle.
So… long boring story short, my daughter came back from San Francisco on Tuesday, and we were still laying the floor. We hadn’t even begun to furnish it. My husband wanted to surprise her so badly, so he decided to tell her that I had strep throat, so she needed to stay at her dad’s house for a couple more days. I was totally not okay with lying to her about being sick, and I really wanted to see her because I missed her, but this was so important to my husband. He wanted to surprise her SO badly, so we argued about this for a couple days when we realized we were running out of time, and I finally gave in and decided to along. But my daughter is even more persistent and stubborn than my husband. So when my hubby told her I had strep throat, she insisted she wanted to come home even more to be with me.
They argued back and forth on the phone for an hour, him insisting that she should not come home and risk getting sick and missing school, and her insisting that she needed to come home that night, that if he didn’t come pick her up, she would walk home. LOL. He finally gave in and told her the truth, that I wasn’t really sick with strep throat, but that we had a huge surprise planned for her and we just needed a couple more days. He asked her to stay at her dad’s house for 2-3 more days so we could finish it. She broke down and cried, so he gave in again and said, nevermind, come home. But you should know… you don’t have a room at the moment.
So I went and picked her up Tuesday evening and brought her home. Her entire bedroom, everything she had packed into that little room, is currently sitting in the living room. We look like hoarders. Seriously. We have a walkway path through the living room and dining room, and there is stuff everywhere!
So she came home to a shock, but not the one we wanted to give her. And since there was no longer the big push to get the room done before she got home, my husband has decided not to push so hard, which I can understand. We still want it done as soon as possible, but we were staying up until 1-2 AM every night working on it and then he was getting up for work every morning. There’s no reason to push that hard now. So we just finished the last bit of flooring tonight. He’s planning to put down the quarter round this weekend. And we’re going to try to get most of the furniture together in her room this weekend.
I’ve designed a pretty awesome organizational system for her. I just hope all the measurements come out right! My husband has designed a smart room for her. Once it’s done, she’ll have a TV and lights in her room that are voice controlled through her Echo Dot. And her light turns colors, so she can make her room whatever color she wants.
Realistically, it will probably be next weekend before it’s completely done, but she’s okay with sleeping on the family room sofa until it’s finished. Oh… and here’s the kicker.
So I picked her up Tuesday evening after telling her that I had strep throat when I didn’t. And I felt like such a jerk for lying to her and telling her that she was going to get strep if she came to my house. Wednesday afternoon, which was my birthday, she started complaining of a sore throat right after her ice skating lesson. I told her it was probably just allergies. We had planned to go out that evening for a nice family birthday dinner, but by the evening she was running a high fever. I took her to the doctor this afternoon, and the kid has strep throat. I kid you not.
Karma be like… YUP!
So this weekend when my husband and I are supposed to be working on her room and celebrating my birthday, which we didn’t get to celebrate on Wednesday, I will probably be miserable with strep throat! And I so deserve it. LOL
As far as WW goes, I have hardly logged in the past couple weeks. Gaga, I did get your gift. Thank you so much! I loved it! Hugs!
My main computer is still dead, and I haven’t even had a minute to take it in to see if it can be fixed. I’m just using my Chrome Book for now, but that means I can’t two box. I have not even logged in to try to find the hosts. I just don’t have the time right now. Once my daughter’s room is out of my living room and back into her room, then I’m going to take a well-deserved Webkinz break!

Ruby – Sorry about your dd’s strep throat and I hope that you don’t get it, even though you may feel you deserve it. Hope your dd feels better soon! It is interesting how projects always seem to take longer than intended. I’d love to hear about your organizational system. I desperately need to do something. Even my WW house is out of control! 😉
Prayers going up for you, enchantedisle & your husband. When it rains,it pours! That is how it sounds to me! Glad that you have friends you can count on to help! I’m sure they are glad to return the favors that you usually give.

We are celebrating my middle son’s 30th tonight even though his birthday was earlier. Need to go to the store to get some groceries and I really should bake a cake, but I might buy one! Our youngest dd (the only one that lives with us) is chaperoning prom tonight, so she will miss out. I’m sorry about that, but she never tells us her schedule and I didn’t realize she had a commitment. But my youngest son is coming home from college to celebrate with us. The others live too far away.
I thought that I would have more free time when the kids grew up, but I’m finding that I’m as busy as ever.
I may have said this all ready, but I’m giving up on the hosts! I sent them all friends requests and other than that, I’m choosing to be content with the signed Sally poster that she sent me.

Man, Steve is SLOW at mailing! He only sent my posters today from finding him on WEDNESDAY! But at least my collection is now complete, so I do not have to go stomping about the clubhouse again today lol.
I have three spare Signed Michael posters, three spare Signed Sally posters, one spare Signed Mandy poster, and one spare Signed Steve poster for the blog. So let’s have a comment contest! I’ve been putting my daughter’s organizational system together today, not fastening anything in place, just a dry run to make sure it all comes together. We’ll fasten and anchor everything this weekend, hopefully. I arranged this based on the manufacturer dimensions, so I wasn’t sure if it would all actually come together like I conceived, but so far, it is lining up perfectly! I am SO excited! I’m taking pictures as I go. I will post pictures if it all turns out right, and I think it will. Yay! So happy!
My kid is feeling a little better today. Fever is mostly gone, but she still has a very sore throat. At least she feels well enough to play video games today. That’s progress!

Belated Happy Birthday, RubyCubes! Sorry to hear about your kid coming down with strep throat. Did you ask her doc for a refill (in case you or dh gets it and needs antibiotics)? Glad your dd is starting to feel better. Would love to see your organizational system.
Sorry about all the troubles, Chant. It’s a blessing to hear you’re getting much needed help. Recovery takes time but he’ll get there.

She seems the best at responding to FRs, still waiting on the others (and not sure if they ever will get to respond to FRs sent days ago or if they just get deleted).
That banana pudding cake sounds like flavors of my favorite pie – banana cream.
I found out earlier that my “grandma” (grandaunt who raised my mom) passed away and her funeral is next week so I’ve been tied up with contacting family and working on getting a flight out to LA early next week. I haven’t seen her family in ages and my uncles graciously said all they want is prayers but I think my mom would want one of us there. The rest of my family is in the east coast so I figured it’s easier for me to rearrange my work schedule and represent us. She had a long good life and she was in pain from renal failure so it was time to let her go according to her family. She was at home surrounded by loved ones when she passed away.

what are you using it for? don’t waste is cooking as it is pricey, but do plop on some scones or whatnot………….
i actually mostly buy kroger or land of lakes it if is on sale…..you can freeze it. i have a couple pounds in my freezer right now. but ya gotta figure, most of the things i cook call for a half pound at a time. I really like the land o lakes half bar thingys…….perfect when dh wants to do something…….as he can just grab a quartr cup in a bar
but yeah kerrygold is good………..i have only had it in ireland and once at a believe it or not german club shindig………you want to use it where you taste the butter

Goodness, so many Gymbo peeps are really going through it lately. You ALL are in my thoughts and prayers…Chants, Zingy, Ruby…any and all who need some encouragement today.
Happy Belated Birthday Ruby! I hope you get a ‘do-over’ to celebrate when your DD is feeling better.
Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and well wishes on my upcoming move. DH did go round and round with his boss and ended up with a better compensation package, so that was a big factor in making the decision. But I was shocked with the housing market there. tmt—we must be in one of those high market pockets. I thought because it wasn’t in one of the big cities it wouldn’t be as expensive. Yes dee, I will be a cheesehead soon! 🙂 I don’t mind that at all. I love cheese (probably too much
)…and WI makes some of the best. I grew up in MI so I’m hoping the adjustment back to winter won’t be too bad. These winters here have been so nice for the past couple of years. DH loves to fish, so he is very excited to get back to a state with lakes. I have heard from several people how pretty it is there. Dee, your trip around the big lake sounded wonderful and I think we are going to put my aunt on the Badger so she can come visit. mmmmm….Kerrygold butter is the best! On a fresh baked baguette (or anything) and light sprinkling of sea salt.
moms—THANK YOU!!! FR was the only way I was able to get Michael, Mandy and Sally’s signed posters. Still haven’t gotten one from Steve, still hoping, but if not, I’m happy with the ones I have. I only saw Mandy in the trade room once, never saw any of the other hosts. I tried the constant ‘in and out’ but didn’t have any luck. Hope you had a nice dinner out.

Haven’t had any luck with getting any signed posters. I tried for a few days now, but I’m just so busy around those time slots so its been hard. dh’s boss told him his job will be there when he’s ready to go back!!! And if he needs light duty, he will find him something else to do for work till he can resume regular job!!!!!

Then dh called credit cards and they gave him 6 months NO INTEREST, and only min. Payment till he’s back to work!!!
Gets better..our mortgage company helped too! They did some special defferment thing where we only have to pay 298.00 per month till oct. And put all the money we owe for those months on the end of the loan!!!
And his best friend is coming next weekend to put in some electrical needs we need done, and put in my new sink, medicine cabinet, and light fixture in half bath downstairs!!!! I just need to take diwn old stuff and paint walls before he gets here..lol
He is also going to fix tiny leak under kitchen sink..and
Also put in a bathroom fan I’ve had for 3 years in downstairs 1\2 bath !!!
In two weeks a whole bunch of friends are coming over to do spring clean up in my yard!!!
I am so blessed!!! Seriously..what happened to my husband brought me to my knees..
I never ever ask for help. .but this time I knew I just couldn’t do it all..I love helping others. Always have..
I’ve slowed down past 5 years..but I still do special cakes..and favors for bdays,weddings and other special occasions to help friends and family out..that stuff gets expensive if they have to pay for the services..and so far it’s still something I can do.
I guess they all love me…cause I actually didn’t have to ask..it was offered..but this time I accepted..I think that in itself worried a few people lol.
But I’m just so blessed that they all offered…and I really do need the help. Times are tight right now..
I just can’t believe the help offered! I’m floored …and very blessed..
Sorry I’m pulling a “CHANT” MOMS.. lol

All the prayers are working!!! Things could have gotten way worse. ..as he is the bread winner..as I’m fighting for disability still…
I actually cried when we got all the good news…tears of relief. ..and thankfulness..

I still have some pending “host” friend requests, too! Sally is the only one that responded to me! But it looks like their friendship is limited. Even though she accepted my friend request and sent me a signed poster, she is no longer on my friend list. Maybe she had to delete after she sent the gift to take other requests? Not sure!
