2018 Winter Olympics

Did you know the Winter Olympics will occur from February 7th to the 25th in PyeongChang, South Korea? However, the Opening Ceremony is on February 9th and the Closing Ceremony is on February 25th. The Winter Olympics have been occurring since 1924 and are usually held every four years. 15 disciplines will hold competitions in 7 different sports this year, but the original Winter Olympics had 9 disciplines in 5 different sports. Patsie, thanks for the new post. I don’t watch the Olympics…I don’t have a TV. But, I think Gymnastics is my favorite. That’s the summer Olympics, though, right? I used to do gymnastics when I was little…

amberrose – i hope you are talking to ME plenty & maybe singing to her – my youngest especially would follow my every move when he could hear my voice from the time he was born – even in the hospital, he would turn his head in my direction whenever he heard me ♥ i sang “you are my sunshine” to them, and it always soothed them once they were on the outside 😀 dh read “Goodnight Moon” to them before they were born, and it was always special to them, too.
i feel like i have a newborn now though – youngest warthog is sick, so he is having to do breathing treatments every 3-4 hours around the clock
that’s why i’ve been on very little – i’m barely doing the valentines stuff

my youngest plays rec basketball – nothing too serious, but i’m kind of 2nd mom to twin high school players – one of them will play college level next year

moms… I was reeling over all of the CAVS trades !!! Sorry to see Channing Frye go as well as Duane Wade…. The theme now seems to be Youth and rebuilding with younger guys… Watched the game last night and it seems like they had a spring in their step and a new found spark… which has been absent this season… Have to say was NOT sorry to see IT go.. In my opinion he had way to many critical remarks for a new kid on the block !!!! Anxious to see what the new kids bring to the team… Nance Jr’s dad played for the CAVS for a long time… and his number is retired and hanging at the Q… will be interesting to see if it will be unretired and given to his son !!! I also think LeBron is less likely to leave with some new young players to mentor…We’ll see.. Really hope he stays.. He is so good for the city.. so generous to the kids here..
Hope your younger warthog is feeling better today.. this flu is really serious and widespread… My Mom has been sick all week and is heading to the doctor’s today… At 91 it is really hard for her to go out in the cold and snow we’ve had the last few days…fear of falling on ice.. and just getting in and out the car.. She seemed better last night… but would like to see her on some antibiotics even prophylactic treatment for pneumonia prevention…

Gaga, the wardrobe was offered in a mystery box around Black Friday, and I don’t think it’s been re-released since then! I’ve had it on my wishlist for months and I keep going to the trading room and facebook to find it, but no luck! It’s different from the Winter Wishes Wardrobe though..

Boper.. Click on Winter Fun section on list of Categories…………The first picture that pops up has the picture of the item I think you are searching for….the next categories says winter wishes… Not one of the items listed for sale at this time but I am pretty sure it is shown on the initial screen..

moms—The minute I read ‘breathing treatments’ a flood of memories came back. I had (still have) asthma has a kid and when I would get sick it was awful. I know exactly what your poor warthog is going through. Before the breathing treatments it was steam baths. I hope he’s feeling better soon! Hugs and good thoughts your way.
gaga—I hope your mom feels better soon and the docs goes smoothly. Taking my aunt grocery shopping and docs visits is always hard on her too, especially in the winter.
tmt—I hope your YD continues to get better. Glad the new computer is up and running. I have to get a new computer probably this summer and I’m dreading it.

thanks for all of the emotional support – treatments every 3 hours overnight – breathing seems a tiny bit better – overall he seems to be feeling a little better, too, just not enough improvement for his airway yet
i hope everyone else is avoiding all the types of flu this year! i’m using essential oils & elderberry in hopes of preventing me from catching it since i am allergic to the shot
