now i know i do not need to do peek a newz for the first two weeks!
i can not believe that i have still not gotten all of that flowery stuff……..i have some boxes to open yet tho…………we are off to Fort Campbell tomorrow if anyone needs anything……….ha ha ha
saw gobs of diaper coupons in todays paper………..back in the day you could save up the upcs and get free stuff………..good free stuff…….we got a laydown gym thing and toys………..all from fisher price……….i think huggies gave away stuffed animals……….but after a couple of “incidents”…….we went pampers til no longer needed…………so amber………..as silly as it sounds, save any points of whatever they put on the packages now……..and if you have a disposable email, sign up for the parent clubs or whatnot so you can get coupons or free toys or books or whatever the promos are………..
that is, if you are super frugal like i am

Dee…those free items sound awesome….didn’t see them when my kids were little, but we used no name diapers…can u believe they were better than pampers and huggies!

i tried so many diapers based on other mom’s suggestions, but pampers were the only ones that we did not have leak problems with as well – made them worth every dime!

hey folks
good road trip day today with dh……..gots some meats……some stuff was crazy priced!
gonna do smoked turkey sausage (i told you we liked it and it is cheap), red beans and rice and corn bread tomorrow……….it snowed at fort campbell while we were there………..big fluffy flakes…….trippy as it was nice and sunny when we got up this morning………..kittys were cray cray when we got home. someone needs to report us to an aspca or something over how we abuse these furballs…………

Hi Everyone! Thank you so much for the birthday wishes. It was a nice relaxing day in the midst of a crazy couple weeks. And things do not seem to be slowing down much! I seem to have a lot less time for Webkinz lately, but I am still trying to keep up.

hi everyone!
i had a lovely birthday dinner. we got gift certificates for opentable last christmas and decided to splurge on a fancy place. the food was great and, for the pasta course, they set out a table just for the two of us in the kitchen! we could watch and ask the chefs questions while they prepared our meal. we were very surprised. we had eaten at other places where there was an open kitchen near the bar where we could see food being prepared and chat up the servers but this was a full-fledged kitchen that they walked us to way in the back with just this small table in the middle. it was a neat experience!
gaga, sorry to be the bearer of bad news but i believe they won’t be transferring points. they initially transferred points to the first people who asked but they posted that was a mistake. i hope they’ll reverse that decision again for your sake.
dee, so when’s the best time to see the super blue blood moon? also keeping fingers and toes crossed for catmom as i think that’s when she might be getting her house back.
and where is rubycubes – hope everything’s ok and she’s just gotten busy.

Happy Tender Tuesday
We are having monsoon rains here, great for the water table but hard to get around in. However, it is quite warm, high 50’s-60’s.
Day two with my sweet DD in the other city. We took her over on Sunday and stopped at Ikea to get her a loft bed/desk thing. It took her and her dad 4 hours to set it up. It works great for her closet sized room and she was happy with it. Super inexpensive too, only $200. We had no time left for a long goodbye because we had to catch the ferry home. Of course in the crazy rain and dark and insane traffic we got turned around and the DH was super emotional. My DD and her daddy are super close buddies. We did make it to the ferry on time but with a lot of very aggressive driving from the DH. So intense.
Zingy, I saw your pictures of the food. So yummy looking. You are correct about getting the house back during this full moon. It does make me more nervous because crazy gets crazier during the full moon and the police are a little under staffed.
Gaga, I hope they honour your points and just transfer them to your webkinz account.

Dee, I am glad you had a good time on your day trip. Your menu sounds good. It is hard to believe something so beautiful as this big red moon could make us all so much more emotional. I am planning to take my students down to ocean to watch it rise if the weather co-operates.
