Well today I broke a toe..walked right into the end of the bed frame..sigh..
Sucked it up…put it back in place..and taped it to the toe next to it to demobilize it. ..dr appt on tuesday..he’ll probably want xray..
But I heard that. Puppy snap..and it broke in half…it’s hot and throbbing…but I’ll live…believe me breast reduction hurt worse..lol
So days I just can’t win…ugh!

Not such a great day for me yesterday. I had a really bad migraine which I’ve now brought down to just a headache, and some nausea in the middle of the day. Luckily that didn’t last too long. Then I missed doing my Webkinz Newz before the site “reset” at 7:00 PM and missed a snowflake on one of my accounts because I ran out of time (which was devastating to me). It seems my day wasn’t anywhere near as bad as Enchanted’s, though! I’m so sorry your toe got broken! That must have hurt! Hopefully the pain and swelling comes down soon and things get better! And trust me, I know what you mean about “some days I can’t win.” That’s basically me everyday! Hopefully things get better for ALL us having bad days here at the Blog! 😉

OK, that’s all for now. You guys probably won’t hear from me for a while because I have to get surgery on Monday and I’ll be in recovery for a little while. I’m anticipating that I’m not going to be able/feeling up to do much on my computer in the upcoming days. Hopefully I’ll at least feel good enough to stare at my computer and catch some snowflakes. I’d hate to miss out of any Winterfest prizes!

Hi all! I’ve been catching up on some things around the house. Finally got the Christmas tree down and all of that put away. Next week will be a major clean-the-house week for me. Even though it’s a synthetic tree, we have pine needles and garland everywhere with 3 cats, including the litter box. They eat it. I know, unfortunately, because I scoop the box every day.

GRILLING IN THIS WEATHER?!?! Gaga??? No, I did not catch the Browns Parade. We don’t have cable…too many better things in life to experience. DH really hoped to go to that parade, though. But alas, he is the furnace repair guy…so he had to work. Lol I hardly get to see him this time of year. He leaves before I get up, and gets home at 9 or 10, eats, and falls asleep! But, I couldn’t appreciate him more!

Headaches with nausea stink, sorry you had a rough day yesterday Otter. Wishing you a speedy recovery from your surgery and lots of virtual snow flakes.
I collect snowmen too and I did the same thing would leave some up for both but I added a few and swapped out Christmas clings for snowflakes. A couple my Hallmark singing snowmen are out all year so periodically there is Christmas music when someone decides to push a button.
Catmom I was sick for the last half of November and all of December but at least I could get out of bed and do computer stuff at my desk, sounds very unpleasant. Hope you are continuing to feel better.

Been busy so only got to snow flakes other than a couple here and there the first day so off to do those now. OD is at robotics with hubby they are headed back to State straight from there. We almost smothered her in a four way hug before they left. Won’t be able to come home like she did before the next three months. She received an email a few days ago telling her she had been accepted into the college of mechanical engineering so that hoop to jump through is squared away. Her girlfriend has her class schedule finally and she has three classes OD had last semester so she will be able to help her. They both also have a social studies class but different ones.
Need to check out Boper’s room, congratulations.

just do stir fry veggies……..broc and cauli and some shred carrots or peppers for color………just stir fry them in wok oil……..i love wok oil!
if you have never tried it, you should……..it is really light and kind of garlicky and we love garlic here……..

Ran into one of the Physical therapists over the weekend… his hours were cut.. but it was mostly OT hours… He/wife just finished putting their 8th child through college !!!! Although he and his wife ( nurse) are both close to retirement age…they owe 120 thousand in parent loans !! I cannot image how families do it ……….feel so badly for all of you struggling to educate your kids and still have a few cents left over to live on………

Howdy!! moms, I think I’m doing great! ditched the cane several days ago, getting around on my own with no issues. Upper thigh area where staples came out has little pieces of tape in it’s place. Still numb in that area, but fully functioning. Consciously paying attention to standing straight and tall. atm, some confusion about whether I have to go back to dr. Doc who removed staples said I was good to go and closed out my file. Tho’ I’m still getting automated emails from the actual surgeon about new materials to view. You’d think these guys would get on the same page. :-/

What a strange back-to-school week … on, off, on w/delay, home early, and now a delay this morning. I’ll take it as I much prefer getting ready in the daylight. But wow, I have so much to do at work, and haven’t wanted to do it at home (mostly because I have so much to do at home, too!) I’m almost actually looking forward to going in and getting some things scratched off the list.
I opened my free 2017 Winterfest Cookie Box on several accounts and got mostly clothing, but really wanted that Snow Covered Maple Tree. If anyone wants to trade for either skating outfit, the hockey helmet, and/or a rink side lamp, let me know! Also, I never got a Snow Covered Cedar from last years’ Winterfest, so I’d love to trade for that, too! I think I have TONS of everything else … not sure how I missed getting one. If anyone needs items from this year, I can share. Have they given us a code for a free 2018 box yet? hoping …
I think I still owe a big thank you to Mist and Zingy for some great items from my wish list! I remember typing a thank you earlier, but I don’t think I ever hit the submit comment. I’ve got to remember to stop doing that.
Thinking about you Otterkinz! Hoping surgery went as planned and you are on the mend! You, too, Gramma and Chant! I think I broke a toe once … never had it checked, but it has never been the same since. I remember seeing stars and everything going black. Hurt like crazy.

Back on a diet … there’s nothing like a new year to kick start that metabolism (and willpower!) I hate to be one of those people who join a gym in January, but I think I’m going to. I’ve been wanting to get back to it for a while, but just haven’t figured out how to make it work with my schedule … but maybe I can shuffle things around a bit.
Goal for the spring: Declutter the House! I feel like we are living on top of piles of junk everywhere! One closet at a time. And I’ve gone through and folded all my clothing Marie Kondo-Style, so that looks cool.
Do you all do New Year’s Resolutions? Anyone have any good ones for this year?

dee, it’s great that you and your dd share similar tastes in movies so you can recommend and/or see movies together. i want to see lady bird too but shape of water won out over lady bird when we were picking out one to see over the holidays. will have to check out lady bird when it comes out in dvd.
honey’s doing better every day. thanks for asking, moms! still in his braces tho til the end of the month. he can drive a little bit now but i’m still doing most of the chauffering to make sure i can get the car for him if he’s tired or in pain after a long walk.
we finally have a little bit of non rainy weather so i’ll be trying to do some errands out today while it lasts.

we got a take n bake pizza from kroger for tonite……they are actually pretty good………so i just diced up some red pepper and onion and green olives for dh and picked up mushrooms for his portion……..
yeah………about amazing world……..i wonder it it is all not going Sears like
why do they still have the parent club thing when nothing has been update?
i think they got over their heads profit wise and neglected their true fan base.
but what do i know?

I too feel bad about Amazing World.. was a member but really difficult to be involved in both “Worlds”… accumulated quite a bit of e store points.. will be interesting to see if it can be transferred to WW items.. We’ll see.

This is like they’re taking my hamsters away from me all over again. 😥 I played hamsters right up until the very second they shut it down for good. Guess I’ll be doing that with Amazing World as well. I *still* miss the Lagoon and the Castle zones.
It’s not the money…I spent less than $300 total on that site, including membership and the zings I purchased through Amazon. It’s the fact that I found a suitable replacement for hamsters and spent three years collecting every single thing in AW (I mean, I did EVERY collection, made EVERY recipe, won EVERY prize, etc.). It’s the fact that I have forty zings and no place to play with them now. (Not to mention all the hamsters I logged in to AW, too.) If they take Webkinz away on top of all this, Ganz will never see another dime of my money ever again. I’m so depressed I can’t even express how depressed I am. 😥

“I sent a msg to them, because the link says that if you have a pet/figurine code, you can exchange it for a webkinz code. I asked if this is true for the ones that have been adopted too.”

If you can at least get a free pet code for webkinz for each zing/hamster, then at least you have something new you can play with on WW (not that it’ll completely replace where the hamsters and zings play in AW).
And they’re not taking Webkinz away. As a friend said, “They are putting in a lot of effort to make sure it still runs when flash is gone so that means it will be around for quite a while.”

dee, we liked the Shape of Water a lot. if you like Guillermo del Toro’s work, this has some similarity to Pan’s Labyrinth in that there’s a bit of fantasy mixed with reality.

Sorry Lurker I know you played even more than I did. I have all the Zings and hamsters too. Both of the girl’s accounts expired over the last couple of months and they weren’t playing so I didn’t renew them. Hopefully they won’t be too bothered. I suspect it is one of those things they expected it to be there when they were in the mood again. Part of why I liked amazing world was it gave me a sense of being able to do things I can’t do in real life anymore particularly easily or safely like run and jump. I’ve started playing an adult game about a year ago that does a similar things so at least that isn’t going away. My biggest thing is the people I would talk to on there. Maze is going to be major upset. Haven’t seen West in awhile but she started playing in the beginning. Need to try and talk to Maze maybe we can get her on here now that she won’t be busy with AW. She plays webkinz too. Going to have to have AW up a lot between 3 and 5 the next few weeks to try and bump into her that’s when she usually plays but even knowing that I miss her most of the time. She is already aware of the blog. Can’t decide if I want to play a lot or just take some screen shots and let it go. Only 11:30 pm and it was a ghost town. Most of my friends were never on when I did log on no matter what time it was for over a year.

Have a bunch of Zing codes from Ollies I bought extra when they had them for the girls and I had a couple of friends I thought might play eventually.
