My fur baby Diesel had surgery yesterday. He had to have some growths removed from his eyelid, a cracked tooth pulled and his rear end glands removed. Poor baby had to stay overnight at the vets. I’m so anxious to get him home. One of the vet techs just loves him and she was working yesterday, so that made me feel better. I can pick him up at 3:30pm today. I will distract myself with some WK until then!

dh and I went out for dinner (well it was four thirty)
to blaze pizza! I had one last buy one, get one free coupon that was getting ready to expire………yum………..if you have not tried, you should…..granted you need a coupon! ha ha ha
I hope everyone is well and their furfamilies too…………I checked out an upholstery book from the library and it looks daunting………but then dh and both went thru the chair section and since he knows how to use a sewing machine………and our chair is pretty much a box shape with no crazy wingback curves or lovely wood we need to be careful of……..we are gonna try to do the ottoman first…….gonna start pricing fabric at home depot….if anyone has done this, please chime in……..seems like something chant would know about…………just pricing at this point…….

I curse whoever invented the common cold. I am so miserable right now it’s not even funny. I felt so terrible yesterday that I parked myself on the living room sofa and never left it. Mostly I’m cursing my husband, who kept sniffling, and whom I kept asking “Are you sure you’re not sick?” and who kept swearing that he was not sick and then went and infected the whole family. Men!
I did manage to get online today and bought some Fairykinz boxes and I seemed to get mostly ponds. Of course, I don’t need six (!!) ponds, so if anybody needs one, speak up. And if anybody has the fairykinz cottage or trampoline for trade, please let me know. I also have a couple of spare fairykinz gazebos.

Sorry you are feeling bad TLL. I’m waiting until Black Friday to purchase estore points and splurge on the fairy boxes. I love this theme. The only other one I purchased was the mushroom one. I will think of you TLL if I get an extra trampoline or cottage!

Happy TGIF wonderful people of Gymbo’s and welcome to Winter
LeeAnn, we had SNOW last night too. We don’t usually get snow at all or very little and usually only in March. AAARG. I grew up in snow country with-40 temps for months and I sincerely do not enjoy snow especially where I live now. My city is useless when it snows. Sorry for the rant and thanks for reading.

Moms and TLL I hope you feel better soon. Remember to do all the things you would normally do for everyone else and make sure you do the same great things for yourself. Hot showers or baths with your favorite scents, lots of warm drinks and soups if you like them and sleep as much as your life will allow. I wish you a speedy recovery.
Zingy are you good? How is your man? I can’t believe how soon he had to go back to work. My dad did the same thing to his bicep muscle but it completely detached and the doctors could not do anything to help him so that muscle is weird lump now half up his arm. He can still use it though and he says it doesn’t hurt, so who knows? The human body does some amazing things.
April I hope your Diesel is doing well. Our fur friends give us so much and ask so little from us.
Boper I wish you great success with this term and look forward to seeing you around more at Christmas.

Good Morning everyone! It’s still morning right…oh for a little bit anyway. I’m a little slow this morning.
Thank you all for the well wishes for my fur baby Diesel! He is home and resting comfortably. His eye and mouth seem to be really good. He is eating well. The rear is a whole other story. It was a long night. The vet warned me what could happen, I was really hoping it wouldn’t get that bad. But, things have calmed down considerably this morning and I’m hopeful we are through the worst. I will bleary eyed fight that evil eye curse on our pets!
So sorry you are both sick TLL and moms. (((hugs))) to you both! I hope you feel better soon.

Ugh, my cold medicine has me so messed up I slept the afternoon away and now I’m awake when I’m normally asleep. And I was coughing so hard that I threw up. I HATE throwing up! And I had just brushed my teeth too, so I had to go brush them again.

I was good for absolutely nothing else today, so I gave myself permission to sit in front of the computer (when I wasn’t zonked out from the cold medicine) and play Webkinz all day. I did manage to get the fairykinz cottage, yay! Now I just need the trampoline and I’m all set.
dee, it is a circadian clock. My kids all went through Biology and I remember the term from their study guides. I’m about a quarter of a century away from my college Biology class, so don’t ask me to remember the stuff I learned then.
Y’all can send your sewing projects over to me. I’ve been sewing since I was six.
I taught my kids how to sew, because Home Economics (or “family and consumer science” as they’re calling it now, snort!) is only 30 classes per year in their school (for both cooking and sewing) and that’s not enough time to learn to sew anything more complicated than a simple straight seam.

I have just a few pieces, but every once in a while I get another (got a few nice pieces when those elephants were on sale! 🙂 ) So, slowly but surely, I’m working on that collection. I went to organize my Halloween candy this morning in the room and am kicking myself that I didn’t buy a few more coffin fridges from the mobile store to hold my candy from this year. This year’s theme doesn’t have a food storage item, and I like to keep collections together if possible (2017 food in the 2017 room). Can’t think of a fridge that fits with that theme. Anyone have any ideas?
I did terrible on the extra floating Webkinz Newz Prizes for October, even though I played every day. Didn’t get any of the rare items (blue couch or wrap around bed). Thankfully, I already had the pink newspaper stand and the purple couch or I wouldn’t have those either! If anyone one has extras to share, I have a TON of bulletin boards and coffee cups to trade!

It is an absolutely gorgeous fall day outside right now. The sun is coming up and turning the sky an amazing gold color, and the trees are perfect. I took the seniors outside yesterday and we took photographs all over the school grounds with the trees in the background. The photos turned out great, and the seniors are pumped and sharing them all over Instagram. Fun to see more of them popping up every few hours. Really should do that with my own kids before they are out of the house. Only one more year … *sad/happy*
