Ghost & Floating Jack-O-Lantern
Now through Halloween we can find the Ghost in the Reading Room AND click the floating Jack-O-Lantern in Webkinz World. You need to collect 12 pieces of candy from the Ghost to win the Grand Prize – the animated Spooky Stained Glass Window!
While you are collecting candy from the ghost, keep an eye out for the floating Jack-O-Lantern and click on it it win a costume piece for your pet (limited to 4 costume pieces a day, 6 for Deluxe players). There are 2 new costumes – Pumpkin Queen & Pumpkin King Costumes – to collect as well as last year’s Dragon and Haunted Hotel Staff costumes:

Hi everyone! I haven’t had much time to post or play Webkinz this week. So much going on!
TMT – Congrats on the robotics scrimmage trophies! That’s awesome! Sounds like you have a really strong team. How exciting! We have scrimmages the first two weekends in November, one in Corbin, Kentucky and one in West Lafayette, Indiana, so we’re preparing for those. Do you happen to know which regional competitions you’re attending in the spring? We will be in St. Louis the 2nd weekend in March and in Cleveland the last weekend in March.
Thanks for posting the codes! I’m going to try to play Webkinz for a bit today, hopefully get some new pumpkin clothes (they’re so cute!), and try to finish some of the challenges that I’ve gotten behind on… and visit my ghost friend in the clubhouse. I logged in for a few minutes earlier and got a boy pumpkin outfit, but that’s all I’ve gotten so far.

Hi Chant! Nothing needed in return. I’m glad you like the items! You have more mail. The only thing I need is for you to keep your list updated because I forget what I’ve sent. I wish Webkinz had a feature where you could see which items you’ve sent, like you can with the items received. Since we don’t have that feature, sometimes I forget what I’ve sent. If you keep updating your list, I’ll keep looking for more items on it.
I got to play for a bit today. I have quite a few side accounts. I worked on Ebay listings on one computer and kept side accounts up on my second computer to watch for floating pumpkins. I’ve gotten all of the pumpkin clothes except mask. I agree, Catmom, that seems like the rarest of them. I’ve gotten multiples of all the others. Here’s a little trading tip: This is the perfect time to trade them away. When a really cute item or outfit first comes out, like these pumpkin outfits, everyone wants to complete their sets. I scored two pieces of mystery clothing that I needed for my collection, plus a couple of duplicates to trade, and two mystery items that I needed by trading pumpkin clothes today. A week from now, the pumpkin clothes will be worth very little because the game will be saturated with them, so I don’t even worry about putting my pumpkin clothing collection together at the beginning of an event like this. I have plenty of time to collect all the pieces once their values declines, which will happen fast. Once the event is over, people will be offering their spares for low value items, so if I trade something away and don’t get it back by catching the pumpkins, I’ll trade for it once the value decreases.
Chant – I’ve also done WKN on multiple accounts almost every day and have not gotten a single bed or blue sofa. I’ve gotten one purple sofa.
The WKN wallpaper from the code is non-tradeable. 🙁

Tips on floaties courtesy of lemony:
Stay in one area 🙂 some have found that by moving around WW you “reset” the floats and they will not float in a timely manner
If you are playing an Arcade game…they will NOT FLOAT
ALL Floats and events now start on NA time (even if you have an Asian or Euro account)
These are from my experience:
Sometimes, spinning the wheels stop the floaties altogether so as a rule just head to wherever you plan on waiting for floaties and don’t do any activities until after you have all the floaties. If you do, they’ll float every 6 minutes.
If you follow all the above and stay put but don’t see any floaties after 6 minutes, try turning on your phone or going to the clubhouse (which also turns on your phone) to kickstart the floaties.
If all else fails and after 12 minutes there are no floaties after doing dailies or responding to a pet request instead of staying in one area, log out then back in.

Mary, you should see a floaty in about 6-7 minutes of being on one screen. I leave my account on the Kinzville Map page (with most of the building removed) so that I can see the floaties more easily. Let us know if you still have problems seeing the floaties after following Zingy’s tips.

zingy – i understand your concerns since he’s never had general anesthesia – he doesn’t know how it will make him feel. i’ve had multiple surgeries and HATE the way I feel when I first wake up, but luckily I’ve learned to tell them pain or nausea if i have it, and the recovery nurse is always good about getting the meds on board. once that is under control, i can handle everything else much better – i have learned that managing the pain is key to that initial recovery and getting up and going quickly
have you had surgeries? the coughing and deep breaths are also important right after to keep your lungs clear, especially since he is having a surgery that probably requires him to be a little more sedentary than normal
i hope he has patience as a patient!!!! keep us posted – if you need someone to vent to or anything, feel free to text or email or dm or whatever – i hope he heals quickly and relatively easily, and i hope you survive with your wits intact

I think I had anesthesia when I got my tonsils out as a kid
other wise……epidural and when I had my wrist surgery, they gave me something so I did not know what they were doing, but not knocked out….
it was an iv tho and that is what I was scared of the most….he will be fine zingy………….but I know the feeling…………dh had his surgery and I went to pick him up and they wheeled him to the door in a wheelchair and I just freaked!…………never want to see him like that again…….

Thanks everyone for the well wishes on my hon. The surgery went well. Apparently by the time of the surgery, he’s manage to tear off 95% of his quadriceps (the big thigh muscle in front) so I’m glad we got him in when we did (else the muscle gets balled up and it’s harder to stretch back into place.)Thanks for your advice, moms – I made sure he’d tell the nurses about any nausea and pain after the surgery as I’m not allowed in until he was ready to be wheeled out.
He now has this brace he cannot take off until the muscle as healed as it can easily tear again. I”m a little scared of taking it off and putting it back together so I’ll have to look up some youtube videos on how to reapply the compression bandages and gauze pads. There was also this little donut shaped clear bag that infuses pain medication slowly and an ice machine that connects to something wrapped around this leg and cools the area. Hopefully he’ll still be somewhat comfortable after 3 days when the infused medication runs out and he’s just on pain meds by mouth.

Ruby Michigan has so many teams they are their own region so all of the competitions are in state. Even Worlds are in Detroit this year. As for out of state post season competitions I don’t know I’d have to ask DH. Not sure they are signed up for those yet. I’ll let you know.

Zingy – When my hubby comes home from the hospital they send a nurse to teach me how to do the dressings etc. Not sure if you have to ask for it.
WW closed down for maintenance.
