Moms-I never received your email. I don’t have emails for a few days. It’s like they somewhere in cyberspace. Same thing with text people sent.
We had no power,no cell service, Landline went down as well….Trapped by water,trees & power lines….I never ever ever want to go thru anything like that again.
At one point my son says well the winds bad but the thunder was the worst.
IT WAS NOT THUNDER! IT WAS TREES HITTING THE GROUND & SHAKING THE WHOLE HOUSE! 😯

longest we were without power was five days……..ice storm….unfortunately before we had the new kahuna fireplace…….i had dh staple gun blankets between living room and rest of house and we all slept on sleeper sofa in front of cheapo (aka worthless) fireplace………..
one of the reasons we got the energy efficient fireplace…it is how we heat the house now in winter………..just them stinkin cold showers……………grrrrrr
we have camp stoves and gas grill, so food was really no problem…..just the cold shower…………..bleah

it is difficult to find old school battery radios……we have a couple from long tim ago (which you need to keep batteries fresh or battery free)…..and some cranky flashlight/radio/cell phone charger thing………..and oil lamps

Sorry I’ve been MIA lately…so busy in real life! I ran into Cheese before in the trading room, where I was waiting for leaves, and she reminded me to come over here and tell y’all I’m alive, lol. Hey, guess what? I’m alive!
Dee, there’s nothing weird about being prepared. I know the exact hand crank radio/flashlight/cell phone charger you speak of, because I own two of them.
We often take one with us during our woods excursions. There’s nothing so fun as cramming five people in a tent with a deck of cards and a radio. Except for the fighting over which station to play, lol.
Mystery bags should be in estore in 3 hours and 38 minutes. Can you tell I’m excited?
I plan to be adding them to my shopping cart right at midnight. But you guys probably knew that.
(((hugs))) for anyone who was affected by the recent hurricanes. I’m terrified of that sort of weather, which is why I don’t live anywhere near a coast. I’ll take nice safe mountains any day! Besides, they’re so much fine to hike up and down.

Good to see you back, TLL! I don’t get that meme either but then again, I’ve been out of it lately.
I’m feeling much better, moms, thanks to sleeping in this weekend. We managed to go to a Pokemon Go lure party last night. A local Discord group set it up at Fort Mason and we had fun catching stuff, taking down gyms and they even raffled some iTunes gift cards and a cool Gengar shirt.
Then we went to the library’s yearly book sale today. It’s the last day of the sale so everything was a dollar but I wish we went yesterday when the books were a bit more but less picked over. Next year we’ll go on Saturday instead.
littlefish, I forgot to add. The floaties go like clockwork every 6 minutes but only if you stay put. I log in then go to Today’s Activities then don’t do anything else on the account except click on floaties. Or, if I decide I’m decorating, I log in then stay in the room and don’t go elsewhere. When you go do other activities, the floaty clock gets reset to zero so it seems they take forever to float (sometimes, they stop floating altogether). So you can either do activities first then log out then back in to do the floaties or you can do activities only after you finish the floaties. Hope this fixes your issue.

i’m waiting for floaties on 12 accounts at a time so that may have slowed down the time in between (the count starts after clicking the popup after a floaty to make the popup go away).
oh, have you guys ever tried a Shinko asian pear? after the book sale, we stopped by a small outdoor farmer’s market and tried a bunch of different pears, plums, pluots at a stall – the Shinko tasted better than any asian pear I had – sweet and intensely pear-tasting. there was also a stall with a moist chocolate chip sourdough loaf and very flaky cardamom croissant. we definitely have to go back to that farmer’s market again.

Sounds like a very fun weekend Zingy glad you are feeling better. Seen the legendaries around but no one to fight the gyms with. Two of us were at the library and there was a magic carp then we get three other players all level 37 showing up to help.
Scary Gwenda yes probably better he doesn’t know what the noise actually was. The gophers are from the sodas not the leaves. The mice are from the leaves. There is a code for free sodas on the community code list.
Thanks for the meme explanation hadn’t heard of it either. Haven’t had time for tumblr in awhile. OD isn’t around enough now to show me the neat stuff she sees on there. It is taking about 6 hours to collect her from school and get back home. I tried a different route this Friday got a little miss place ended up in Ann Arbor, I missed a turn because of construction. Google maps got me back on track but added 15 minutes to the trip.
Home coming this coming weekend YD is disappointed she is missing out on the assembly with the marching band since she isn’t at the high school yet. Told her there will be four years for that. A boy in her science class seems interested in her, she blushes every time she mentions him. Have to pick up OD again this Friday there is a color guard alumni performance at the foot ball game. The girls are excited they get to spin together. The marching band won the show they did this weekend. They have some decent musicians this year and interesting choreography. Hopefully the competitions that count towards states go as well. It was way too hot and humid this Saturday had kids throwing up from the heat at morning practice. Nine students from other bands ended up taken to the hospital for heat related issues at the show.

I haven’t posted in a while… I haven’t had much time for Webkinz lately because of real life, so I’ve just been doing the bare minimum. Sorry about that. I really do think this is a great community, I just can’t keep up with it most days. I’m hoping to become less busy in December… but that’s a ways away (for me anyway).
Hopefully all of you are well and enjoying all the fun things going on in Webkinz World right now. Fall Fest is my favorite “Floaty-Clicky” event, so I try to make sure to carve out a little time for that each day.

I bought 15 mystery bags right at midnight. It was a good deal…I bought the 33,000 points to get the bags, and got a free super spooky cookie dispenser, and also got 2 free six packs of fall fest soda. The miser in me loved that deal!
I got really lucky with this batch of bags…only one duplicate! I think I’m going to buy more bags, because I did not get the Sera wig, and I neeeeeeed it! I did get the creepy crawly slippers, though, and that’s the item I wanted the most from these bags.

gaga, this is why I just go to the trading room and sit. I make sure the pet’s heart is full so I don’t have to worry about pet requests, and I just sit there until I get all the floaties. The trading room is also entertaining while you are waiting…even if you don’t trade, you can watch other people trade. I used to go to the game room for floaties, but then they changed it so you can’t get a floaty while playing a game. Thanks to that, I haven’t played Farming Frenzy in a long, long time.

TMT – My husband loved his archery lesson! He is definitely interested in signing up for more. My daughter is really interested too, so she may take lessons with him, or he may just teach her what he learns as he goes. Her schedule is too busy right now to try to work in lessons. Oh, and it was kind of ironic. My husband helps mentor my daughter’s robotics team. When we showed up for his archery lesson Saturday, one of the kids from the robotics team was there. Apparently he has been taking archery lessons there for two years and competes on the archery team as well as robotics. We normally have robotics on Saturday mornings, but it was cancelled this past Saturday, so the archery instructor had asked this kid to help him teach the archery course. So my husband, who is normally mentoring this kid on the robotics team, was being mentored by the kid in archery. And he’s such a good teacher! His mom was there. We know each other from robotics, and were both really amused watching them in their reversed roles. It’s awesome that your husband and daughters have shared interests in robotics and archery! And I’m sorry to hear about the kids in the band with this heat. That’s rough. I hadn’t thought about it, but it’s pretty rare to have heat like this so far into the school year. I hope they’re all ok.
TLL – Congrats on finishing your fall mystery clothing collection on day 1! I went into the trading room for a little bit earlier today (saw Mist and Cheese… hugs again!) and realized… wow…. if you haven’t bought the new mystery clothes, going into the trading room today is absolutely futile. Nothing besides new mystery clothes have any value at all today… none… zero. I could tell people I’m giving away free priceless, and they’d be like… “When you say priceless, do you mean free new mystery?” Because new mystery is the only thing with a price tag today. People be inviting me to trade like… “Got new mystery?” Me: “Nope, but lot’s of old mystery.” Them: “Ok ty gl bye” LOL. By the time I manage to type the word bye, they’ve moved on to a new trading room. This game cracks me up. But seriously, I’m totally with you on just sitting in the trading room and watching others trade. It can be quite entertaining. Oh, and don’t feel bad about the Kermit meme thing. I’ve known Kermit since I was a kid, but I’ve never seen that meme either.

Hi Dee! We eat mostly boring simple healthy stuff here, so I don’t usually share what we eat lol. Salads with kale, carrots, yellow/orange/red bell pepper, cucumber, beans for protein etc. We make our own dressing also from olive oil and a balsamic vinaigrette.
We have spaghetti sometimes and use ground chicken or turkey for protein.
Black beans and brown rice.
Baked chicken with acorn or butternut squash and brown rice.
I recently made a chicken soup that was super simple yet still good.
My favorite dish is baked salmon with teriyaki, asparagus and brown rice. I could eat that foreverâ¤ï¸
On the super hot days during the summer I looked up some cold food ideas and found a very good oriental cold noodle recipe that just needed a protein so I used beef cut into strips, and I found a good simple wrap recipe called ‘Mexican Quinoa Wraps’ and those were very good imo 🙂 Wraps are simple yet versatile so they are one of my favorites. We don’t eat them often though since the tortillas are expensive lol.
We keep kosher also so there are a lot of things we don’t eat. â¤ï¸
