    Oh my. You all are too funny!!! I have finally had a chance to read up. Rubycubes, your comment to Patsie about being constipated and your story about Dad had me rolling! And thank you so much for the guide to trading. I tried the trading room one time. It was way back when the Snow White Promos were released and I was unable to get one of the items. I went in to try to trade for it and quickly realized that it was waaayyy over my head. I always considered myself a collector, but after reading your guide, I feel more like a newbie. I know there are TONS and TONS of items that I don’t have, and I wouldn’t have the first idea as to how to place a value on them. I agree with Miracles…it is nice to see the thought processes that go into this, though.

    Not entering the contest (was lucky to win a fridge during the Wacky event) but just wanted to join in on the fun. Thanks so much for your generosity, Cheese!

    Had lots of stuff I wanted to do today and ended up not doing most – accidentally left my car lights on around lunch and got tied up waiting for someone to jumpstart the battery (fortunately covered by my car insurance) then had to drive around a bit to make sure the battery got properly recharged before I turn off the engine.

    A friend went to a park in Wisconsin and took videos of the eclipse. This is not his photo but some park visitors that he met and loaned a camera filter to shared this pic. This is what I would have loved to have taken a picture of if I were in the path of totality. Doesn’t it look like a diamond ring?

    Good morning! Got to see a sliver of the eclipse before the clouds covered it up again. The clouds actually helped because it cut the rays down and let us get a quick picture, but we didn’t get to see much. I was hoping to find someone’s discarded glasses to keep as a momento, but maybe they will be cheap on Amazon now. 🙂

    I’m enjoying our last few days of vacation before having to return to reality. I am in such denial that school is starting up again.

    I still haven’t hit the Wacky Window on the Wheel of Deluxe; however, thanks to several of you, I now have a few to decorate with. (Thank you!) I remember a month or so ago being frustrated that I couldn’t get the one item on the wheel that I wanted, so I went back to try and find what it was, and realized there were a bunch of things I never ended up getting, so I’ve updated my wish list once again … if anyone feels so inclined to check it out. 🙂 I also missed a bunch on the Mobile Wheel because I don’t think I realized right away that the prizes were different, so I added a few of those as well. Starting to think I’m a little slow … 😉

    Before I discovered this forum, when I missed something, it was gone forever, until Gantz possibly decided to put it out there again. I will always be extremely thankful to all of you here for your kindness over the past few months. It has made Webkinz much more fun again, and I’ve learned so much.

    Hi everyone! I’m in the middle of several big home improvement projects this week, and robotics has started back up, so my Webkinz time is a bit limited. I haven’t logged into Webkinz for more than a few minutes per day over the past week or so. No time. Next week should lighten up a lot!

    TMT – Cute pet! It looks like a blonde labrador HM812. I’ve never heard of an English Cream Retriever, although if Ganz made one I would imagine it would look exactly like a blonde lab. They have a way of recycling the same pet concepts – just slightly change the color, create a new PSI, and give it a knew name. LOL. But if I had to guess, I’d say that’s a blonde lab. Where did you find it?. What is the HM number on the back of the tag? Better yet, can you take a picture of the back of the code tag?

    Here is the back of the tag. Thank you Zingy, I was thinking I might need to wait until they did the unboxing video. The snow lynx looks neat didn’t see that one. This dog’s fur has a more yellow tint compared to the blond lab. While I was at it added a picture of Edison’s laboratory from Green Field Village. Spent the day there walking around with a friend who hadn’t been there since she was a preschooler. Since OD was turning 19 this year we switched our membership from a family to companion flex so Hubby and I can take any two people in with either or both of us. We have plans to take her a few times so she can see everything.

    just runnier than my usual as you drain it……….but will be good spread (which is its intention) on the burger………….

Since you have super up-to-date info, do you happen to know if Ganz has any plans to make a Webkinz spider or octopus?     TMT – That’s awesome! The skeptic in me was like, hmmm… I wonder if that is a knock off, but it looks legit. Nice score! Where did you find it?

    Dee – I’ve had falafel. I like the flavor of it when it is well-seasoned, but because it’s deep fried, I rarely eat it. I’ve never thought about making it into a burger. Indian and Mediterranean foods are easily my two favorites, largely because there are so many delicious vegetarian and vegan options. It’s all about the seasoning. The taste and aroma of Indian spices are the best. I also love quite a few Thai, Korean, and Vietnamese dishes, and I have a few good vegan/vegetarian Italian pasta and Mexican recipes. That’s what 90% of my homemade dinners consist of. Most American food is too boring for me. It is also very easy to make a lot these dishes up vegan, and then add cheese or meat for my husband and daughter at the end. Sometimes I just fuse ideas and make up my own recipes. Last night I made vegan Kimchi Mai Fun in my wok with onions, green and red peppers, and mushrooms. I made pan seared Teriyaki Salmon for my husband and daughter, so the mai fun was a side for them. It was my main course. But as I was making it, I thought, “I should make this with shrimp. They would love that.” That’s probably what I’ll do next time if I want to serve it as the main course. Make up the vegan batch and dish my portion out first; then add the shrimp at the end for the other two. Serve it with some vegan hot and sour soup. They get their meat fix, but not too much of it.

    Food sounds good Ruby. I found it at a Halmark so I wasn’t worried it was a knock off. I kind of thought I had the lab too but no email from ordering it from the estore and it isn’t in the bin with my newest webkinz from the Hallmark trip around then. I’ll have to look in the other ones. I might of considered it and talked myself out of getting because wasn’t sure I’d use the psi.

    Retriever.. but not the Snow Lynx..one on Amazon for bid but sold..shipping was 23 dollars ! Picture of Edison’s Lab looks really interesting.. haven’t been there since I was a kid… long ago and far away !!

    Thank you, Leenie, for the wheel food! I have always loved the design of Webkinz food (I’m not really sure why), but I’ve never really gotten into clothes collecting that much … other than the occasional item here and there. That’s one of the reasons I like Webkinz so much, because you can play it however you want and focus on whatever you want. Really can’t believe I’m still playing it, but it is rather addicting.

    We are dropping dd off at college today and hanging out at the beach afterward. My boys will be missing their first and second days of school (today and tomorrow), and I don’t like getting them started late, but it was the only way we could work it out this year. They are both good students, so not really too worried. The class I teach doesn’t meet those two days, so I got lucky!

    Quick question … when we drove here, we crossed a time zone and my computer adjusted, but Webkinz did not. Is there a way to force it into the correct time zone? or will that create more trouble than it’s worth?

    Love the new dog pet, tmt. I am partial to dogs, as it was my dd love of dogs that got us all into Webkinz. Might have to pick up a couple of those. 🙂

    Rubycubes, there have been requests to make a Webkinz spider (not sure if I’ve seen anyone mention an octopus but it’s possible). Spiders come up as a suggestion for a Halloween pet every year but no word from Ganz yet.

    Shorty, the 2006 flooring is what I’m looking for as the 2006 walls got released by mistake in 2013. Thanks for thinking of me and looking through the list. ❤️

    That English Cream Retriever looks cute – wish the Hallmark here still carries Webkinz pets. It’s nice to see them before deciding to buy new plushes.

    Miracle, North American KinzTime (usually referred to as KT) is set to Eastern Standard Time. So everyone in North America is in the same “time zone” in Webkinz World. You basically just have to do the conversions yourself.

    To all of my Gymbos friends…
    43 years ago I chose to work in a small Catholic hospital .. with a mission statement based on caring for people.. and each other…. Recently my hospital was bought by one of two major health systems in my area… Over the past 6 months things have changed… Today the director of the department who is a physician… told me that my job was to be eliminated…I am one of two full time nurses… the other has been with the hospital 25 years…. During the meeting with administration .. the doctor basically told them not to touch his nurses !!
    Decision made to eliminate full time secretary.. ( four kids.. single)…Haven’t been able to stop crying since arriving home.. Institution looking to cut as many full time employees as they can.. cheaper for them…
    Left work today .. with my job but not sure about tomorrow… so many uncertainties…. Always thought I would retire from the hospital in which I have spend my entire adult life…Now… not sure…

    That really stinks Gaga, sorry your going through this. Might be a good idea to do some job searching in the area just to see what is out there so your prepared if the worst happens. Two full time nurses in a hospital doesn’t exactly sound like the they are over staffed. Seems short sighted to only have one. Full time employees tend to do aspects of jobs that part time doesn’t.

    Interesting idea Momskinz. Would be tricky a lot of items in that room that don’t exist in the game. I’d have to raid my science theme room. The battery cases alone, trying to think might look like those. There is a telegraph, electric pen, voting machine and early recording device.     i told ya dd made a vegan one with soy cream cheese………was not awful….recipe called for maple syrup for sweetener which threw my tastebuds off………….i would have used stevia or SUGAR…………

    and my stuff shells were fabulous…….right mix of ricotta, mozzarella and some lovely parmesan shredded…………nom nom nom……..one dh size serving to go into freezer……….
    and needless to say, when he worked, he had the best lunch box around! honestly folks would wait to see what he had!…………..ha ha ha ha ha ha

    dee, can you share your falafel burger recipe? I would like to try it. I love falafel, but don’t like frying things. I have a bunch of meat eaters in my house. I think it would be healthier to have more vegetarian meals. The pediatrician said that I should be feeding the kids fish 2x a week. My family likes fish sticks, but those fish sticks from the frozen section look unhealthy. They are ok with smoked salmon, but those things tend to be high in sodium. I like cooking wild sockeye salmon, but the price of that type of fish is kind of high. Are you making microwavable meals for your dh, or are they things that stay hot in a thermos? I have two food container/thermos things that I have yet to figure out how to use.

    I had a terrible situation on my last job. They were getting rid of all the women that worked as Admin. Asst. and were not very nice about it.
    My friend is the one who told me to ask Human Resources for a better package which I did and i got it for my years of service.
    These companies care nothing about their employees.
    We were the glue who held everything together, but that doesn’t matter.
    Unfortunately for me I was almost 60 and the job market was not very friendly to me and I never got another job.
    Make sure you get what you deserve if they decide to let you go.
    One of my girlfriends told me not to let the bad in and remember God is always with me. She helped me so much to not let it upset me.

    Gagagee – I am SO sorry to hear that. After watching the hospitals in my area merge and form monopolies in certain area, which has resulted in many nurses and allied staff losing their jobs or being shifted into float pools, I’ve come to the unsavory realization that the health care industry can be just as ruthless and corporate as many for-profit institutions in the U.S. I’m glad that the doctor you work with stood by you. You certainly deserve that after 43 years of dedication to that hospital and community.

    As much as I hope you’re able to keep your job and eventually retire from that hospital, I would definitely start exploring other options if you’re dependent on your income. Always have a plan B. Make sure you have a current resume. Get letters of recommendation from your managers and the doctors you’ve worked with. With 43 years of ER experience, even in a small hospital, there are bound to be plenty of options for you. I’m sure you have excellent triage experience, which is very valuable. I’ve never been in this exact situation, but I was in a similar one once. Sometimes when we’re forced to explore other options, opportunities that we didn’t even know were out there open to us. I hope you have a strong support system at home and at the hospital to help you get through it. As a fellow nurse, I’m here if you need to talk or vent. You’ll definitely be in my thoughts!     Moms – I’m with you on the dogs and repeat thing. I have seriously not adopted a dog in Webkinz World (not counting the free Leonberger on side accounts) for years. I refuse to adopt another dog, no matter how adorable it is, until they make an octopus or spider. Yes, I’m just that petty! I love dogs IRL… although I love cats a little bit more… unless we’re talking Siberian Huskies… then it’s tied. I’m a huge animal and insect lover though. I love snakes and geckos and spiders and almost all species (except mosquitoes and roaches… I can see why Ganz doesn’t make them… I don’t think they’d be big sellers… I would never adopt a Webkinz roach no matter how original it was). Not that I want to cuddle with spiders, but I’m completely fascinated with them. I love to watch them and read about them. They’re so beautiful in their own niche. The octopus and squid are highly evolved, intelligent creatures. They’re amazing! I was so glad to see the axolotl. That was completely original. Even if it was a player concept, at least Ganz chose it and created it! I considered retracting my boycott of dogs after the axolotl came out… but that’s as far as I got. It’s not an octopus or spider, so my personal ban on dogs stands. However, if they made a squid instead of an octopus, that would be almost as good! I would definitely adopt it, unless it was a crazy expensive promo pet or something like that.

    Mist – I looked for you in the trading room tonight. I did not see you. I forgot to send you a kinzgram letting you know I was there. I hope to see you soon! I hope things are looking up for you!

    Miracle – Is this your daughter’s first semester of college? Is she living on campus? How far away is she? I hope you had fun at the beach, and I hope your boys get caught up soon!

    Boper – I’m with you on the pet gender thing. That’s so Gen X. I think they should get rid of that option altogether. It’s not like it affects the pet you adopt. I don’t suddenly want to spend more time in the Kinzstyle outlet when I adopt a girl pet or want to hang out at the Webkinz Rally and race cars when I adopt a boy pet. It’s irrelevant. I don’t think gender should be a thing in pet adoption, but if they can’t part with it, they should make an “other” category for gender neutral/indifferent/non-conformist pets. I cross dress my pets all the time. I have pink pets who are boys and lions with manes who are girls.

    Today is a new day… and although I was awake most of the night tossing and turning .. I am ready to face the day !!
    Fifteen year ago my husband left a 21 year marriage for another women and somehow I picked myself up…dusted myself off… and journeyed on !
    I have become a fairly strong independent women.. and I will deal with whatever comes my way !! I have a wonderful family.. a strong Faith.. and now a group of friends who were brought together by something called a Webkinz !! Thanks to each and everyone of you for your kind words and a great sense of caring ! SO much appreciated…

    gaga, I am so sorry to hear about your job loss. It is hard to lose a job when you have worked at the same place for so many years. I got affected by downsizing 2x, but it is never easy. Hugs to you. I’ll pray that God would open some doors for you and walk with you through this difficult time.
