    I have to use Steam to get on Amazing world on my computer but I have a app on my phone and most of the functionality of the game is still there. Couldn’t use the private chat and some activities are too difficult for me with the arrows. I don’t understand myself what they mean exactly. Here is where the question and answer is. I’ll see if I can use a desk top app for amazing world didn’t even know there was such a thing.

    The only app for amazing world I am seeing is the one for the phone and ipad. Maybe webkinz will moved to steam? Other wise they might mean we will just have the tablet/phone version with all of the stuff.

    April… my niece is off to XU this week.. first time away from home .. I know she is really nervous because she is a real homebody.. but I am sure once she gets settled she will ok.. Her sister off to OSU ( 2nd year) ? thinking about medical school…She signed up to get therapy puppy in training and was approved ! Not sure how it works yet or how long she keeps it .. but she is really excited..

    Super busy week this week … I’m a little nervous that I can’t get it all done, but we’ll see. Boys started soccer practice this morning, so school stuff is already encroaching.

    I do not miss the floating Wackys. I always feel obligated to get every one, and it takes forever. I do have some extra fridges if anyone didn’t get one. The only item I haven’t gotten is the Wacky window, and it is still on the Deluxe wheel, so I’m going to keep trying until they take it off. And then I will shamelessly beg for one. 🙂

    the brand of glasses I have are called Eclipsers and they are made by American paper optic

    we found them at walmart (by party supplies) for one dollar!
    some libraries are giving them out and if you have a planetarium….altho our local stuff is booked up and they advised they can no longer just give out the glasses other than to folks who have signed up……….
    cray cray………..farmers are renting field spots for fifty bucks if you want to camp……….

    The local Walmart is out of the eclipse glasses. Thanks for the tip, though. I might end up viewing the solar eclipse on my computer. I most likely will end up watching it here (https://eclipse2017.nasa.gov/eclipse-live-stream) since I started looking for the glasses too late.

    A little announcement :).

    I am currently trying to get things together for a giveaway of gift boxes. As you know the gift boxes cannot be sent so you will receive the contents of the box assuming they all still open as they should. I am a little concerned about what the Webkinz X addition in 2015 may have done but hopefully it didn’t mess up the programming for the the older ones.

    There are a variety of holidays represented including one from 210, a few from 211, 212 and 2013. Most are from 2014 to 2017.

    If you are interested you might want to start checking and see what items you want and what box they came from because the giveaway rules will be simple. I will post the list available and then you post a first, second and third choice of box. When the time comes I will go down the list in order. If by any chance I cannot grant any of your first three wishes, you will have the opportunity to choose again.

    I’m posting this now so hopefully everyone who is interested has time in their busy schedules to check things out and make a decision that will make them happy. I’m having a little procedure done this week so the giveaway probably won’t be happening for a week or so.

    and dd had a pile of gift cards that she dug out today. somehow dh was able to go online and figure out if there was any money left!
    poor dd was not sure so she brought a pile of them home (from bday and christmas and college cash exchanges)………….over a hundred bucks!

    she has about five starbucks cards ranging from 3 to ten dollars……….thankfully she is a cheapskate like her parents and just hung on to them…….ha ha ha

    Congrats on your 12th anniversary Ruby that is great you had a wonderful anniversary. Mine is today, 24 years but we didn’t do anything, he had a class for incoming Freshman on the robotics team to teach. Planning to go out later in the week. Cedar Point was kind of our anniversary trip.

    Kinzgram the girls and hubby went on the medium size roller coasters. I walked around and play pokemon and shopped. We tried to get a legendary but no one else around was playing, we saw four too. But I did get a couple of regular raid battle Pokemon over the weekend. Gagagee I’ve been on Amazing world once so far this month. As you said too much going on in Webkinz for that too. At least when I went on I ran into a friend and we talked briefly.

    Sorry I haven’t been around again. It’s been a terrible week, and I honestly haven’t felt like doing much of anything. But of course, I had a ton of things I HAD to do. I wish I could have just gone hiking and berry picking with TLL! It sounds like it was a blast!

    Anyway, I quickly read through most of the posts from the last week, and now I’m going to go to bed. I would love to comment on everything I read, but I’ve already written a bunch of emails today and I’m noticing that I keep missing words (that when I go back and proof read I have to keep adding in) so I think I’m done for the night. It’s actually morning, but I’ve been up all night and I really need to sleep. Hopefully today will be a better day for me and I will be able to get fully caught up and posting again later.

    Good morning Gymbonians

    I’m back :greenman: You all have been very busy posting and posting and posting! LOL and I missed so much.

    I went away to Alberta for two weeks. I went to a beautiful wedding for my nephew and spent a week visiting with my sister. So awesome because this is the first time in 10 years I have been well enough to travel. My family drove for 16 hours, through our beautiful British Columbia that is still on fire every where, to get there. I flew by myself which took only 3.5 hours and was under the limit my doctor prescribed. I am still feeling decently well.
    The second week my wonderful DD and I went to an Anima convention in Edmonton. She was able to meet some of her favorite, famous Cosplayers from China. I was amazed by the costumes, most of which are hand made. This type of convention was a first for me and I thought I would feel out of place and too old but the age range was impressive. We also met some very talented artists using many different media.
    The best part of travelling is coming home and Gymbo’s is part of home!

    gaga – i bought 20 glasses that all say the iso # & logo & the appropriate information by are not manufactured by the nasa approved company (they said they were by that company when i bought them, but that is not what the little marking says printed on them when I opened the package and looked at the printing on the glasses themselves), so i got a refund and reordered directly from one of the nasa approved manufacturers – it’s not worth the risk …

    So I had ordered eclipse glasses from amazon and we didn’t get an email about them so supposedly they are safe to use. I did some digging and the one set I bought was from the manufactures site but the glasses didn’t have their name on the ear pieces like in their pictures. The other set didn’t have a manufacture on the packaging at all only on the plastic bag. The glasses were no longer on sale on Amazon. So I emailed customer service and they basically didn’t answer if they were OK or not but gave me a refund. I already ordered some paper ones from a company on the NASA list also on Amazon but they are one of the ones left up after they cleaned house. I tried to go directly through the NASA list but everyone was either sold out or couldn’t get them here soon enough. The other places were horribly over charging. These were still marked up but were in the range I could justify.

    I had to go to the Apple store today so went to the Halmark that still sells webkinz which is in that mall too. I got a Golden Lemur and an English Cream Retriever. I can’t find the retriever listed online. I wonder if it is one of next months pets.

    I am pretty worried about all the millions of folks (okay maybe thousands) who bought glasses like I found at my local gas station……especially since we are in the path of totality…………but I am a research geek, so I have been looking at this stuff for months!
    and we have Michigan people coming in! well at least one

    there was an apple store at opry mills before the flood and they sold fritters and donuts and jams………….it was wonderful……..they did not rebuild, so the only one now is near Dollywood…………..which is a place

    The odds of me finding glasses at this point in a store are pretty unlikely haven’t seen any for sale at all but I wasn’t specifically looking either thought I had some. The ones I ordered yesterday are from a company on NASA list so they should be safe.

    The apple store sounds yummy.

    dee… decided to return the binoculars I bought for the eclipse… really not worth the risk… news again tonight emphasizing the importance of the ISO… on the glasses… My brother is travelling up from down south and he thinks he should be able to get a couple of pairs on his way…don’t think he realizes how hard they are to find !!
