Bake Sale
The Kinzville Bake Sale is happening again in Webkinz World. These are the same recipes from last year.
There are several ways you can collect Baked Good in Webkinz World from July 14 to July 23:
– Each day of this event, you’ll be awarded a Baked Good just for logging in
– Look for floating Baked Goods in Webkinz World and click on them to have them awarded to your Dock (limited to 5 floating Baked Goods a day, per account)
– Visit the Bake Sale Stand in the Park for a Baked Good Daily*
– Find the daily floating Baked Good at WebkinzNewz.com
*NOTE: You must have our ads turned on to be able to use the Bake Sale Stand in the Kinzville Park

WOW What a busy day here in bug land! We bought our house a year ago. Since day one we have just piled anything without a home or still in a box into the garage. Well today it got all nice and clean and organized!! Mostly thanks to my hubby who is actually the Hulk. He installed a shelving unit. I helped by holding things and following him around with screws lol. Now the house is a mess with all the things newly unpacked from the garage, but that’s a story for tomorrow. Hope everyone is having a magical Saturday!!

g’morning
gaga, sluggish this morning. kitty slept on and where my feet go last night. *yawn* there is a makeup nap on my to do list today. storms have been erratic; weather forecast on my phone is showing balls of sunshine throughout the day, with the extended forecast not showing any nasty stuff. I kinda like the storms, except for scaring the kitty. 🙁 the thing is, she’s a tough cookie so to see her rattled breaks my heart.

Today we are finally celebrating my grandson’s birthday.
The pool is ready after two weeks of cleaning and bumping. It was left uncovered all winter, this will never happen again (I hope).
The weather is suppose to be nice today.
We are making Fluffy Slime and some other science stuff too.

Hi Michele! I’m so glad you’re keeping up the the WI wiki on your own picture guide. There was recently talk of WI maybe closing (and while I haven’t looked at WI in ages, I check the wiki regularly), I wondered what would happen to the encyclopedic guide that was the wiki. A lot of people put time and effort in those pages and is a huge help to all of us. Anyway, glad you find time to keep it up despite internet limitations.

Since everyone’s introducing themselves to newcomers, I’m zingyginger – you can call me zingy. I started off in WI trying to help my ex’s kid figure out an online game that she and her friends got hooked on but I ended up spending more time raising kinzcash and buying rares for her while she was in school and ended up opening my own account to help. That’s where I heard of Gymbo’s spoilers but, on WI, people only spoke of the blog in hushed tones and we weren’t supposed to even know about spoilers (even tho it was passed on by pm’s by people in the deluxe thread). I went on to another Webkinz group after that where they were more excited to talk about spoilers in the open and started lurking here for a while. Then I read mom had connections to someone who was giving out Road Trip Vans and that’s when I started posting instead of lurking – tentatively at first. There was a huge crowd of kids back then and I remember Flo being fiercely protective of the blog from newcomers (besides her love of nail polishes – any know where Ms Flo is now?) Anyway, I started posting here more about happenings and eventually agreed to help out with the blog.

Thanks, moms! Yep, still officially morning for me . Waiting for honey to wake up and make fried rice (he adds bits of bacon and chinese sausage, peas and whatever sauces we have from left overs or hoisin sauce and is always something for me to look forward to on weekends).
We’ve been staying up late waiting to put our pokemon in gyms hoping everyone’s already in bed so ours won’t be taken down. I have to remind myself it’s only 50 cents credit per day but we’re just so happy we have a chance to even place them there since the gym rework (gyms here used to be always full of 10 blisseys) that we’re kinda hooked into doing that recently.
Well, TLL is Ms Speedy Gonzales this morning and I see my kinzpost has arrived with the potted maple (thanks so much!). I’d be happy to forward it to you, MM – was there something else you’re looking for that I can add to the package?

Moms, you’re lucky to have a kid who loves to cook. Is it the same one who acts?
MM, would love an ice sculpture only if you have extras. I missed adding that I started playing around end of 2009 on the kid’s account mostly to raise KC so she had enough to decorate with. I later got a Dalmatian webkinz to go with a Cruela De Vil costume but didn’t log it into WW until later and had no idea there were Fests so missed out on those and got some items from trading.
I definitely have a potted maple from before, just not too many, so I’m happy to send it back. Do you have some other items you’re missing from that time? This link to the wiki might help:

Good Sunday Morning almost afternoon west coast time.
So many laughs this morning.
Welcome to all the new and returning people. I have been playing since 2007 only because we could not find the pets on the west coast until then. I have a chronic illness and this was a way for me to play and laugh with my young children even when I was too sick to stand. My young children have now both graduated and I still play because of the friendships I have found here. I also hung out at the other place but loved the sneak peeks here and would lurk regularly. I love being able to post and share now, thank you Moms and Zingy.
Gagagee, love your story and how wonderfully friendly and supportive you always are, thank you. My family is safe for now and the communities are all pulling together and helping each other get through this.
SantaLurker, thank you for my gifts, these new list are so tempting but I will wait until everyone else has a chance to get some great stuff. When all is said and done if there are any trees or flowers left I will raise my hand for them.

Ok I am going to double post. Not something I usually do.
I wanted to share my newest backyard friends. I live right in the center of my city but I have a fairly big back yard that is a little wild because I can’t be. I have old growth apple trees and wild blackberries and raspberries. Yesterday we had a young raccoon stop by for a snack of raspberries. We also have one of the baby black squirrels living in the post where he/she was born this spring and chasing away everyone else. My outdoor cat refuses to come in because of all this activity. So fun, lol.

I got my first webkinz for Christmas 2009, stated playing with the kids a little here & there, was addicted by summer 2010, took over the kids accounts as they got older & now have 8 accounts of my own, help out with 7 accounts of another Gymbo’s member & sometime help Dawn (Luvallsoulz) with here account when she is to busy to keep up! I started lurking here at Gymbo’s around 2011/12 but did not post till much later. I do not always have time to read all the posts but I do try to drop in everyday or two & post as much as I can. I am a mother & a grandmother of many! My own & adopted & foster children & of course Fur Babies!! 😀 I also have a chronic illness & playing here is like sunshine on a rainy day! My favorite Webkinz have Wings! With Birds being my besties & Owls definitely on the top of my list! I love dressing my pets & I am addicted to Wigs & Shoes!! well I guess that about sums it up! 😆

SB, I can so relate to loving wigs and shoes. I was disappointed when I first started playing that only a few pets looked like they have hair (mostly horses). But I have terrible luck with mystery or chance items so I try not to look too hard when posting news about them, lol. And shoes totally make or break outfits in my book.
Glad you got past the rockerz challenge, gaga. I will have to duel with Artie at the Curio for those items when I start mine, lol. Thanks for explaining your name too. My childhood nickname was also based on what I could pronounce at age 1 (which I thought wasn’t fair but it stuck anyway).
Anyway just wanted to share my work in progress. Still not sure about the walls and floors (I don’t have the walls but figured the room I made might not fit with the HP wallpaper anyway). Hopefully will get the patio windows from boxes sometime soon and I can retire from the Helping Paws Club.

As for the state of WI: I don’t remember where I got this information, but I feel like it’s information I came into within the lads year. It’s at an unfortunate state now, where there’s no staff around to monitor or help with most anything anymore, trading has been dead for years now, the software for both the forum AND wiki are now too out of date (and costly I believe I heard) to even consider updating. Justin can’t bring himself to close the forum out of sentimentality, but won’t sell the forum because of “secure information” hat he doesn’t want compromised.
And with that I think I’m FINALLY caught up!! 🙄

MM, I was a little relieved to see your comment about trading rooms! I use to hang out in the regular kinzchat room often and traded away lots of great things I didn’t realize I should’ve kept lol. Now it messes with my anxiety too much. I can handle the kinzchat for a little while but almost NEVER go into kinzplus. Nitabuggy, I too avoid those trading rooms. I can remember when I first tried one I traded my psi for what I thought was a really cool dog item. When it was in my dock I quickly realized it was a pet’s food. Another time someone managed to quickly substitute food for out trade.. still not sure how that was even possible. I felt so scammed that I don’t think I’ve been back since.

Finally back home. The zoo in Indianapolis was great. They had lion cubs, young lemurs and a few animals I hadn’t seen before. Robotics competition didn’t go so well despite the fact they ended the first part in 17th place out of 68 they didn’t get picked for an alliance so no chance at the finals. We spent some time in a mall in the evenings after the competition was over for the day and played Pokemon and shopped. I now have light up led shoes.

Those pictures lists have a been a lot of help for me catching up after I mostly stopped playing for a few years. Have to take care of dinner. Catmom how are things going with the fire situation? We had a robin born in our yard this year was able to watch some of its early flying attempts. We get lots of squirrels in the yard they are so cute they would play on the swing set.

tmt, no way! I was just at the Indianapolis Zoo in April. I stopped there on the way to visit my parents in Illinois. Do they have the macaws flying around yet? They were training them for free flight when I was there. And so sorry your daughter’s team didn’t make the finals. 🙁

Nashville has a nice zoo…………..not too big where it is overwhelming if you know what I mean……lots of kid activites and enough for grown ups to not get bored………if ya are ever in the area…….

we used to hit all the zoos and aquariums that we could til dd went all vegan on us and made us realize how awful some of those places are……I could name some, but do not care to. I understand endangered species and truly appreciate when they have gigantic places to live safely.

Love your Helping paws room Zingy ! I got the Helping Paws Organ last week but once again it disappeared 🙁 (the 2nd item I lost & never got replaced) I pmed that Betty person on FB but never got a response & she has not accepted my friend request either & mailing CS on Webkinz has never helped with replacing HP items, so I am getting a little disappointed with Ganz lately. Oh well nothing else to do but wait & hope the items just appear on shellybrayley account one day ??

My helping paws vase is back and I didn’t need to email.
Took 4.5 hours at the Ford dealership I think they sent some poor person about a hour and half away to pick up a tire for the car. We made it to the zoo at 2:00 pm. I suspect there will have to be a robotics competition in Nashville before we make it there we don’t travel much. Hubby was complaining he has spent more time in hotels and driving the last 12 months than he ever has before.

Real quick – shelly, you have to post on Betty Butter Ganz wall on FB about your issue then pm her with the WWID after she responds. If you’re not friends with her, your messages will be in what facebook labels the other folder and she won’t know to look there.
Sometimes with customer service emails, it takes some time for them to respond so they may still be behind in responding.
Some peoples stuff did return without them pm’ing her so you may want to also check your dock first. It might already be there. Congrats on the organ, it plays a Beethoven symphony.

Had another spider nuisance today, it seems like they’re trying to find harder to reach places each time. This time it decided to hide in a crack under a set of drawers under my bed, forcing me to move a bunch of stuff and pull them out just to get to it.

I will say, Omaha has an incredible zoo if anyone’s ever in the Midwest 😉 The renovations, updates, and exhibits there never cease to amaze me!!
And Lurk, I’ll see if I can put together a small wishlist, at least attempt to get closer to finishing my car collection again! (It was complete with every sendable car at one point!)

Momskinz: Thank you, that really means a lot!! I was sooo dissatisfied with the WI Guide for so long, and couldn’t do any updates to it for the longest time. Sometime after I created my wiki they changed the WI Guide so all members could edit it, but the guide needed more Han just page updates, and I don’t have that sort of control or permission on WI, and knew it would be best to just have a wiki that wasn’t affiliated with ANY forum or specific site!
Tmt- that sweater has been ruled out already, and was mine and Lurker’s first guess as well LOL As for the Swan Plushy, that was me, and I’m still on the hunt for one!

Well, after we got the batteries going in the RV and finally got to our campsite, I went to take a shower…and, NO HOT WATER. I mentioned it to DH who quicky remembered that he forgot to replug the hot water tank. GREAT! And because we didn’t tow a car this time, we had to pack back up and drive 40 minutes to the nearest Home Depot!
About 10 minutes into our trip, the refrigerator started beeping at us. Finally figured out that that meant no propane. (So…if the fridge hadn’t started beeping, and we had travelled all that way to get the plug, AND THEN realized that no propane = no hot shower anyways…I WOULD HAVE LOST IT! But, all in all, the propane only added another 30 minutes to our 40 minute trip. Lol!
Then on our way back to camp, a stopped train blocked the road for about 20 minutes!…And our microwave broke! I think I have a black cloud following me!

I started playing Webkinz in April 2009. I taught Pre-K and one of my co-workers got me hooked. I would play for hours everyday! I came across this blog some time in 2015. I had never visited ANY blog before so my ettiquette was not the best. But, the friendly people here welcomed me anyways, and now I consider you all friends!
Generally, I only maintain one account. It is all my brain can handle! Time, these days, is also an issue. I just now logged in for the first time in 2 days!!!
I have close to 350 unique pets on that one account. And, it is a gigantic mess! I would love to find the time to sit down and take inventory…
Maybe someday!
But, I enjoy being here and reading your stories.

AmberR – my DD introduced me to trading rooms when we were waiting for the leprechaun. It was quite overwhelming at first, but I braved them in search of a “table that looked like a sandwich” that my DD sold to the WShop and wished she hadn’t. I couldn’t let my baby go without a giant sandwich table lol

Hello, i feel like i only stop in here late at night when everyone is already gone. I never seem to have time during the day.
I see everyone is posting about how they got into webkinz, so i guess i’ll share as well. I started playing in late 2007, but didn’t get really into it until the following year. I came across the blog in the summer of 2008 and was very active on here for a while. I stopped playing webkinz around 2011 because i started losing interest and a lot of things were changing in webkinz and that made it hard to keep up. Even though i don’t play anymore, i still check the blog to see how everyone is doing because it really does feel like a family. I post every once in a while, but i’m usually just in the background lurking.

I gotta get up early tomorrow before work to try to schedule a doctors appointment. I tried calling on friday, but i forgot that they closed early on fridays, so they were already closed by the time i called. About 2 weeks ago i passed out from dehydration (and probably low blood sugar) and since then i’ve been having strange pain in my ribs, shoulder, and back on my right side and it only seems to get worse. I landed on cement when i fell, so i think i may have hurt my ribs or shoulder somehow, but the pain didn’t start until a few days later and progressively got worse, so who knows.
I just want it to get better because it’s difficult to do things with my right arm because of the shoulder. I’m also supposed to be helping my sister move next weekend and i don’t know how i’m supposed to do that if i can’t lift anything.

Hi Choco! Sorry I missed responding to your post earlier – I saw the beginning part before our pizza arrived but got distracted by the smell of food. And sorry to hear that you’re in pain. Hopefully, you can get seen soonish but, in the meantime, have you tried ibuprofen? If you’re not allergic to it, take some with food and see if that helps. You’ll probably have to tell your sister to plan on getting additional/outside help with her move as you need to make sure your ribs/shoulder/back recuperate fully before straining it again by lifting heavy objects.

tmt.. National News had story about the National Robotics Competition last night… 6 girls from Mid Eastern country that does not believe in educating girls finally received a Visa to come here ( with intervention from US) and were able to compete…showed their invention and interviewed them..
they were so grateful to have an opportunity to come here..so many bright kids !!
dee.. how is you dd doing ?? CLE has a really nice zoo… very spread out..lots of walking…Columbus.. has one of the few Manatee exhibits.. have been there a couple of times.. smaller but lots to see.. water park attached..
moms..warthogs looking forward to going back to school ?? can’t believe the stores have started all that talk about go back… was out with my nephew the other day… his opinion was “give us a break” it is only July !!

Good Afternoon all! Just got back from the vet with the fur baby. Yearly check-up and all is well. I’ll jump in with my story too. I started Webkinz in 2009 when my nephew got me into it. Another nephew joined in and I played to help them and send gifts. ( I could kick myself for the items I sent them that they promptly sold!) I didn’t really get into it for myself until 2011. They both have outgrown it and now I’m obsessed. I found this blog a couple of months ago when WI went down for a few days and I panicked not having that connection. So glad I found all of you!

Since we’re doing origin stories, heres mine.
A bunch of years ago probably closer to the time webkinz was getting started a friend gave me a pink poodle and a hippo however I didn’t actually use the codes till 2011 or something like that but since then I’ve been hooked. I named my poodle lucy, after one of my real life dogs at the time and she was the inspiration for my username for some reason. I’ve been on a few webkinz related forums here and there though a couple have died out since then, a few still thrive.

Santa Lurker yes they had the macaws flying we were pressed for time but were able to watch part of the show. One of my favorite things there was the parakeet feeding area. I had parakeets as a child. One of the budgies decided she liked my hat and spent several minutes wandering around on my shoulders and under the brim. She was plucking at my hair and tickling my neck. Reminded me of a couple of my birds who liked to cuddled up on the back of my neck under my hair.

Gaga we are still good. It is hard to get through the province right now but people are starting to recover from the terror and move forward.
Xenia we need to travel to Alberta in two weeks for a wedding and I am hoping the fires will be mostly out before then because the highways we need to take are right in the middle of some the worst fires.

Thanks Gagagee I’ll google that later and read up on it sounds interesting about that robotics team. Must be a different robotics group First already had their Worlds in the spring. We get a little break no more off season competitions until the fall. Hubby will likely be going on his own unless the collage girls have time. YD will have Color Guard then so I’ll need to be around to get her to and from.

My Webkinz story started in 2011 when my DD brought home a Webkinz pet to take care of as part of a fun school activity to develop literacy skills in Grade 2. The classroom Webkinz pet was a weimarener dog that they had to take care of online for a week. Each student had a turn taking care of the pet and writing down what they did with the pet. DD wanted her own Webkinz afterwards and she fell in love with the stuffies. I started playing on her account to help her earn kinzcash (kinzcash seemed so much harder to come by back then, now they just give away!) but didn’t have my own account until 2013. DD started losing interest in playing online around 2015, but I continued to play and collect items to decorate with. DD doesn’t play Webkinz anymore, alas she’s a teenager now, but she still sleeps with her favorite Webkinz stuffies. I found this blog when I was googling ideas on decorating rooms – so many talented decorators here! So many kind and wonderful people here, this is an awesome blog!!

My YD was complaining about the school supplies showing up already when we were shopping for the trip.
Origin stories. Let see, in January 2007 my OD who would of just turned 8 came home talking about these Webkinz that some of the kids in her class received for Christmas and wanted one. They were hard to find at first but did manage one for that Valentines day. I started playing on it at night after they were in bed to earn her kinz cash. By mother’s day in May the girls decided I needed my own account. We added one for YD in October because she wanted a Halloween room, she was only three. I was having her sit on my lap while I played and she pretty much learned the alphabet helping put in codes. I met Gymbo that fall on another Webkinz blog I found while trying to figure out what time the game started back up after the nightly shut down. We were both trading for fall fest items. She told me about the blog she was starting up and I ended up helping out for a few years until I developed arthritis in my hands and had to give both up. I was getting on Webkinz just enough to not lose the main accounts and the girls played a little on their own during the summer. Fortunately Momskinz had found the blog and was able to keep things going as one after the other the earlier admins left for various reasons and then Gymbo herself didn’t have time anymore. A few years later we found out food sensitivities were aggravating my arthritis and some changes in diet meant enough of an improvement I could type more again so I wandered back. Still have to be careful some days but it is a lot better. Webkinz is useful for Chronic Illness management it is complicated enough it keeps the brain engaged. I use some of the games to track my fine motor skill and memory ability to help figure out how allergen exposures are affecting me.

Here is what the light up shoes look like. There are several colors and variations of patterns, solid and flashing lights you can set them on. They were only $30, light weight and relatively comfortable. I’ve only had them on once besides when I tried them on. Wouldn’t want to wear them for an entire day out walking around but should be neat for Trick or Treat at Greenfield Village in October and running errands after dark.

I have a family members that are allergic to egg, all nuts and dairy products and would like to make baked goods for family gatherings that they can have. I’ve told my story before but I started Webkinz when my sister jokingly got me a lil kinz pug as a joke. I have always wanted a pug in real life and this is as close as I’m going to get. I entered the code boxing day, 2011 and started playing around, usually logging on every week or two. It soon became an addiction about 6 months later. Now I rarely miss a day.. unless on vacation! I named my pug Pugsley and he is still my favourite to this day.

dee, here’s a recipe I use for no-egg chocolate cake:
1 2/3 cups flour
1 cup brown sugar (I like to use the “granulated” brown sugar, because it pours lol)
1/4 cup baking cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp. white vinegar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Mix all the ingredients right in an 8x8x2 square pan with a whisk and bake 35-40 minutes at 350. I like to melt a little raspberry preserves or cherry preserves in a saucepan and spoon it over the top or dust it with a smidge of confectioner’s sugar. You can sprinkle chocolate chips over the top, too, but I don’t like it that way. 😉

I think I will keep the machine for now. I am VERY grateful for your kindness, xenia, and I REALLY appreciate all the time and hard work this gift represents. But I will work twice as hard as I have been working to earn the machine myself, and then I will send it back. I don’t think I’ve met a kinder and more generous group of people anywhere, on the internet or off it. And darn it, there go my tear ducts! (((group hug for the entire blog)))

I scheduled an appointment for thursday afternoon, but about an hour later i got a call from the office saying i needed a return to work note from when i passed out. Not sure why they waited 2 weeks to tell me that because i’ve been working the entire time and i was at work when they called. I ended up having to get an appointment this afternoon and leave work for it, otherwise i wouldn’t have been able to continue working. Gotta love how they are always so on top of paperwork at the office *heavy sarcasm* not the first time that a paperwork issue has fallen through the cracks.
The doctor didn’t seem too concerned about the passing out. They asked if anyone in my family has a history of hypoglycemia since the low blood sugar issue has been happening for years. I’ve always assumed that it’s been hypoglycemia and i keep glucose gel with me. They also said i probably pulled a muscle or something and that’s why my back hurts. Can’t really do anything but deal with it until it gets better.

I understand how this was a difficult decision for you – taking pride in working hard for a reward is an honorable trait and it makes sense to not want to take something that you feel you can earn for yourself. I know how good it feels to achieve something and I would not want to inadvertently take that feeling away from anyone. So I will not feel insulted or think that you are rude or ungrateful for sending back the machine. I admire your determination in staying true to yourself! I lucked out and just got the kinz cash machine last week, the friend from England has been a motivating factor to do the pet hearts. The rest of our accounts aren’t even close. Bought one dispenser the tea table.

gaga, i tried opening some Peek boxes at lunch. I didn’t have many, just a couple in each of 6 accounts and I did get one of this month’s red window and one of the f1oral armchairs from last month so it might be worth trying for it.
on a side note, do you guys have sure fire way to get food from Daisy Doe? there was a pileup at the diner at lunchtime and i tried clicking everywhere until a random click on either the register or daisy doe or maybe even a pet finally gave me food.

Zingy, I always click on Daisy’s white shirt, and it works for me. Took me a while to fine that sweet spot. 🙂 If that doesn’t work, then I usually need to reload the room.
