Another Deluxe Day is coming on Saturday, July 8th! Once again, Deluxe Members will be able to log in and visit the Today’s Activities to receive a special prize: a Northern Cottage! and as far as pasta salad, this time it is elbows, sliced red pepper, onions and Colby jack cheese………..you can anything with it tho! I have one recipe that has chopped salami, cubed mozzarella, grape tomatoes and a homemade dressing………….I do an Italian one for dd with olives and broc and carrots and throw cannellini beans in there too……..I think I have made everything but cake with pasta! so cheap ya know?

oldest warthog got me to go around to antique stores looking for vinyl albums for him this morning – he scored quite a few oldies – a man at one of the stores encouraged his shopping by offering him 50% off of every album – it was pretty cool

Dee sorry to hear about your dd knee. Surgery is tough. My mother is recovering from replacement surgery as we speak. I’ve been going up to see her everyday but her being so helpless hurts my heart.
All the recipes sound great!! Tonight I cooked “microwave yourself some ramen” and “2 taquitos from the gas station” Dinner was a success!!

he did 4 productions this school year – three big ones – one was a professional production at a very large venue, and one was on that scale but a youth cast – by the time this month is over, he will have another one done, so that’s 5 shows in a calendar year – now you know why i’ve been MIA so much – two of the shows were quite a ways from home so lots and lots of driving …

dee, the estore vampiress head dress looked nice with the dress. I also tried the zodiac flames. They were meh. When they gave away the dress there was a hair accessory that was sold with it in the estore. I’ve always regretted not getting it.

my Happy 4th contribution is near always the same; chili, cucumber salad, macaroni salad. Eldest dd has our family bar-b-q. Township festivities are in athletic field across the street. I never last til the fireworks. :-/

Happy 4th Everyone!! The pups and I are going to have an exciting evening of “bark at all the fireworks and freak out!” Male offspring is at a friends house and dh is in jail. lol Just kidding he works there lol. I made burgers. They turned out well.

Amber- tons of stuff to do in all of those areas although I’d say Connecticut is pretty boring.
I could talk about Boston all day. If you’ve never been, do a duck boat tour to learn a lot about how Boston works and it’s fascinating history. See the Freedom Trail, Boston commons, Quincy market, Bunker Hill monument, Museum of Fine Arts, or even go to Fenway park if you or your SO are into baseball. The Sox are away this weekend but I think they have stadium tours.
Rhode Island- Newport is always amazing and the weather is supposed to be nice this weekend (see the cottages as Moms suggested). Every Saturday, Providence has a festival called Waterfire where they ignite these basins in the Providence River and its pretty neat. It starts around sunset but if you are there earlier there are tons of great places to eat along the river or downtown.
It’s too bad you won’t be in NH, tons of amazing hiking to do there. But probably too far away if you are driving from NY.

Morning everyone. Does anyone know the key to getting the helping paws prize boxes. The only thing I know for sure is that you get a Large box for adopting a pet on a helping paws acct. Usually I just get KC for logging in and playing on my accts.
