I’m a bit bummed that they have been re-releasing pets, especially ones that have the same name as pets already released, but I think it’s a good opportunity for some newer players to get some older pets no longer available.

we’ve been busy playing pokemon go since they revamped the gym and added raid battles. we finally got an Unown yesterday on our way home from work! it’s a letter G. i’m not getting the other 25 letters (plus a couple of characters) so considering my regional gen2 pokedex complete. i’ve also picked up a few tyranitars from the raids – just wish they’d make it easier to win technical machines (they’re used to change pokemon’s moves). got a few on when it started but haven’t gotten one since. can’t wait for them to release legendaries this summer!

Zingy, congrats on finishing your gen2! I stopped playing when gen 2 came out but recently started playing again with the new update. Still have 21 missing from my Johto dex. Kanto has been done since last year though. I don’t have a unown and will obviously never get them all. I’ve done a few raids (20+ people always show up for tyranitar in my city) and I got a technical machine on the first one I did. I’m more fond of the rare candy to feed my chansey. I have a feeling the legendaries will only be available at those certain events they are hosting. Maybe one will come my way soon.
Anyway, back in WW- the community code posted by shelly above is not working properly. It is awarding the incorrect prize so I edited the comment to reflect that. Zingy’s code is the correct one for the planter. It should be sendable!

Bepsy, if you get the golden razz berry from as a reward from the gym raid, it will greatly increase the odds of catching the raid boss. If the pokemon is jumping around everywhere, use a nanab berry to calm it down and make it easier to catch. You can get bonus throws if your team owns the gym before the raid and more bonus throws if your team represents the majority of the players fighting the raid boss.

Happy Canada Day to all our Canadian friends on the blog!
Yep, pokemon go takes time but it’s one of those things we can do together as a couple to play and get some fresh air during the weekend. We slowed down a bit before gen 2 (we finished the kanto pokedex a while back) and a little bit again in between “fests” like the Rock event and Fire and Ice event. But it keeps me walking regularly even if it’s drizzling to walk eggs and restock poke so I consider it my nongym gym if that makes sense.

Yeah, those are good tips tho unfortunately I didn’t get any golden razz berries i just got rare candies. I’m not quite an avid player of Pokémon yet, but im learning. Also there aren’t a lot of gyms around the places I go so thats the only raid I’ve seen or done. As of now im at level 24.

Dee – vegan Mac and cheese sounds yummy! I’ve been considering going vegan for a while. As it is, the majority of my diet is unintentionally vegan, so it wouldn’t be too difficult to go fully vegan. And I’m getting more and more repulsed by animal products (especially meat) as time goes on, so it’ll probably happen soon.
I still play Pokemon go a lot, but I haven’t been going many places to catch new ones. I did do my first raid battle last week, ended up getting a snorlax from it, so that was nice as I didn’t have him yet.

Pokemon Go was the only thing motivating me to take evening walks last summer! I got super lucky and hatched a snorlax and chansey from my 10km eggs (first and second respectively). I thought it was because I chose team instinct, but I’ve also had friends who got eevees from 10ks despite being instinct, so who knows. lol talking about pokemon, I suddenly felt nostalgic and reopened my Pokemon White on the ds. I wonder when they will introduce another generation…

oldest warthog ordered “cherry crunch cake” for dessert in a little “home cooking” type restaurant last night, and i tasted it – it was SOOOOOO good – it’s like a cobbler
i figured out the ingredients from taste, but i double checked online for a recipe – would be great for the 4th of July with either the cherries or blueberries or if you prefer to be “American like Apple Pie” ….

moms cherry crunch cake sounds amazing!! Not sure I could do anything vegan. I could totally do meat free for a while however. Chocolate cake has no meat!

From wikipedia: Aquafaba (/ˌɑËkwÉ™fÉ‘ËbÉ™/) is the name for the viscous water in which legume seeds such as chickpeas have been cooked.
For this recipe, its because you take a can of chickpeas and use the liquid to mix with the tartar cream and sugar, probably as a replacement for milk.

yes she has a kitchen……….none of them are doing meal plan….so saving big time bucks! she is cooker so not sure what the others are gonna eat. I suggested a weekly spaghetti nite (max cost in boston is ten bucks), but to feed four that is pretty good!
and ya, aquafaba is basically the drainage from your chickpeas, if you are making hummus or a chickpea salad or dd made buffalo chickpea taquitos…
I mean it really is amazing all the stuff she can come up with
just with her bum knee, she will need a grocery hauler in boston

moms… Amish trip is so much fun.. stepping back in time to all of the clothes hanging in the sun to dry.. horses and buggies everywhere ! despite high speed two lane highways… they do have a “buggy” lane for them but drivers need to be so cautious as the landscape is really hilly…
Food is homemade and delicious.. Go to the same restaurant every time I visit..
shops have become somewhat commercial but stick to those that sell local
country.. primitive.. and unique items…
I am sure if you travel off the beaten patch there would be other places to visit but I guess I am not that adventuresome and don’t want to get lost !!
dee.. sorry to hear you dd has an injury that leaves her limited in her activities ! Must be terrible for her ! Any possibility of surgery sooner than later ??
