moms, I can confirm that the last two winterfest codes award EVERY prize except the grand prize. I hadn’t used either of those codes on any account, but used them both on every account last night, and did very well:
2 benches, 8 jerseys, 4 helmets, 2 bleachers, 2 snowsuits, 5 trees, 4 hedges, 2 plushies, 3 dresses, 1 lamp, 1 pile of snowballs, 3 skating outfits, 2 boys ice skates
Between the free codes and the free boxes of cookies I got from the estore (I called again yesterday and they were finally placed on my account), I got every prize except the grand prize, and I didn’t have to spend a dime. 🙂 I don’t really like the grand prize anyway, so yeah, I am soooo done with winterfest.

Well, Boper, I thought of a way, but it’s a terrible way and, I believe, against the rules. I could give you a pet code through moms, and access that way, but I would then have access to your account forever, so I would never do it that way. It’s terribly risky for you and depends upon the honesty of someone you barely know, so I definitely do not recommend it. Besides, I’m not risking my ten years of collecting by violating the rules!
Did anyone need any of the snowflake cookie prizes I listed above? I don’t need that many of them lol. If so, speak up, or forever hold your peace.

I feel I have to say something that may offend some people. I apologize in advance if I offend anyone. Please do not take the following words as criticism; take them as gentle advice from someone who has watched the evolution of this blog for many years.
I give generously to the blog with no ulterior motive. I have never posted a wish list. I very rarely ask the blog for something, and when a wish is granted to me, I always give back to the person who granted my wish far in excess of the wish. I do this because I value the friendship, the sense of community, and the many, many helpful tips I’ve received from this blog in the 7 years I lurked and the 1 1/2 years I have actively posted. When I give, it is because I wish to say thanks to the blog and the incredibly awesome people who populate it.
I feel that lately, some people are coming to see the blog not as a tight-knit community, but rather as a place where wishes can be granted because people don’t want to make the effort to win the prizes themselves. I know moms has spoken of this before, but I don’t think people paid proper attention to her words. I maintain nineteen Webkinz accounts. This costs me a great deal of time and money. I maintain those accounts because it maximizes my chances of winning more prizes, prizes that I am glad to share with the community. I do not maintain nineteen accounts for the purpose of increasing the dock count of a select few. So when I offer my extra prizes to the entire blog, and some people ask for a laundry list of wishes to save themselves the effort of winning or trading for their wishes by themselves, it upsets me. It takes gross advantage of my generosity and deprives others of the chance to get prizes that they did indeed work for but were not lucky enough to get.
There are prizes that I do not win. When that happens, I go to the trading room and search until I can make a deal that is acceptable to both parties. I put in the effort and the time. I do not come to this blog with my hands out and expect other people to grant my wishes. I am at a loss as to why anybody does come to this blog with their hands out. This is not an organized charity or a government welfare program. This is a community where we help each other. Some of us are doing too much taking and not enough giving.
To that end, I am temporarily ending my offers of free prizes on this blog. This does not apply to the offers I have made to dee, PurpleFox, and Bepsy. I will send the prizes I have promised to you, because I firmly believe in honoring my commitments. When those few who do nothing but take start to give to others, I will resume sharing my prizes, freely and very gladly. Until then, I will resume my post as Chief Lurker of the Blog and I will jump in to the conversation when I feel I can contribute something of value.
I hope everyone takes my words to heart. My words do not apply to everyone, but I think everyone can learn something from them.

Happy Sunday all. Busy week IRL, as always, so happy to make it to my weekend(Sunday,Monday).
Last night I played the hog game like a mad woman and got 5 trophies. I didn’t realize it was the same one as last year. I wouldn’t have tried so hard if I has realized before hand.
The weather is warm here… way above seasonal average. There is an ice festival happening this weekend where people carve ice displays and there are ice slides etc.. not good when everything is melting.
I will check back in later. Off to enjoy some fresh bread my youngest daughter made.

Happy Sunday Everyone!!! Rainy and cool here in Florida. Guess I cant complain being as there’s no snow lol.
My husband is finally off work so we are planning a trip to the museum today! Our museum is home to the worlds oldest manatee named Snooty.
Still haven’t worked on the Hungry Hog challenge. Honestly I hate that game lol. My 15 year old son is wonderful. He plays most the games for me in the challenges. Don’t know how I could Webkinz without him lol. We started my main account together in 08. He outgrow it. I didn’t. Now I have almost 300 pets on that account.

Thank you very much for the gifts TLL, they are very appreciated. I completely agree with you about what you said. I know perhaps i do not give enough, but i am happy to do so when i see a wish i can grant. Its based on if i have it. If there is something you would like, i would be happy to try to get it for you.
If you all keep up wishlists i do go and look at them from time to time to see if i have anything you need. I do mean it sincerely when i say i would like to trade for something. If i ask if anyone has an item, it is for the purpose of trading for it. I don’t tend to just gift anything i have in my dock to those who send me gifts simply because other players on other forums i have been, and am on either say they don’t want anything or say it would offend them. even though im not sure why, i assume they have their reasons.
-moms if you think it would be beneficial to any of the blogs contest or giveaway accounts, im willing to send any of my extra snowflake cookie code prizes so you can give them to people as you see fit, or i will just send them to people who ask for them. Whatever is best.

we just started planning ours…….right now we have a 10×12 patch that I want for green beans and peppers and a 10×10 patch that will work with corn…I want him to make me another raised bed for strawberries. granted they are cheap in summer, but they look pretty!

sorry to be anti dog,,,,,,,,,,,,,but I am pro cat……….and my lil bit has never met a dog.,….he came home with me at 6 weeks……….

tll — you did nothing wrong, sweet lady!!! i appreciated what you had to say! i speak up at times, and i know it makes certain people annoyed with me, but i see the same people asking for things over and over again that aren’t willing to put in the effort to earn prizes for themselves or do not give thanks, so it makes me feel like i have to speak up – especially when the majority here are SO generous!!! 😀

This is why I always verify names before I send packages…I have a memory like a rusty bucket. 😆 I still have a few more days to attempt to get that garnet window that has eluded me so far. If, by some chance, I get lucky enough to get one, I will send your window back so you may pass it on to someone else who needs it. Oh, shorty, I completely forgot to ask you yesterday if you need the hot chocolate foods from the new hot chocolate dispenser for your collection. They are called “Rich Hot Cocoa”, “Cinnamon Hot Chocolate”, and “White Hot Cocoa”. Let me know if you do and I’ll get them right out to you. 😉

and dee & tll – let me tell you, the whole grill, smoker, griddle outdoor cooking is a thing here, but dh doesn’t cook very often even with his special toys. luckily my youngest warthog is great with the griddle
