it is sooo cold here………kitties do not want to go out…….and we have a tree…..and things that dangle and crinkle and break……….so glad I had a girl child!

I was also surprised to hear than John Glenn was 95. Didn’t know much about him but I read that he was the oldest man to ever go into space at 77 yrs old!

Well…back in the ER tonight. The rehab staff at a local nursing facility cracked my MIL’s antibiotic-infused, concrete hip. She sat in pain for two days because the hospital did not send over her pain script. They ran xrays, but determined that nothing was wrong. Today, she insisted they look again, and sure enough, IT WAS CRACKED! Ugh! What a nightmare!

amber – i don’t think you were here when my mother had her “breaks” – she broke her knee & shoulder in a fall, then two years later broke her femur – i know too much about orthopedic surgeries and caregiving! i hope you can get some sleep & make sure you continue to drink plenty of water – that’s always how i forget to take care of myself

Woke up this morning thinking we would have quite a bit of snow… dusting only but east side had 50 car pile up due to snow ! Closed interstate for a good part of the evening.. feel terrible for them.

kittie “rearranged” the tree skirt last nite and somehow found a stash of cat toys that he was getting for Christmas, opened them up and played with them….they were up on a hutch, so not sure how he got up there
gonna ask dh if he can set up wildlife camera in that room.

Sending cyber well wishes for everyone with challenges big or small.
We have snow, which being Canada shouldn’t be a problem. However I live in the south west corner of the country and the smallest amount of snow has the potential to shut down the city. The rest of Canada has a good laugh at how pathetic we are. LOL
The kids love it and we have mini snowmen growing all over the city.

Thank you everyone for all of the well wishes. Her Femur was cracked in addition to the foreign piece in her hip. The doctor ACTUALLY said that he has no idea how they are going to fix this. He said that pulling a team together to handle this sort of repair would be the first challenge.
Thanks for the good advice Moms. It really IS easy to forget to take care of yourself when this sort of thing happens.

My side of town received about an inch of snow… ? more today… The east
side of the city got 20 inches according to the weather report..Can’t imagine..
so much to do and having to contend with driving in that mess !!

she wandered into my friends yard about a year ago.. so she took her in..

Xena is doing well, tho’ still restricted to one room(enclosed porch/family room/heat and AC/all around windows/sliding door to outside/big screen tv) as she’s having some tinkle issues. Will keep friends kitty in my prayers.

Gaga, I live on the East Side…Very near to the pile-up on 90 on Thursday. We got sooo much snow. Roads have been horrible for days. Took forever to get to hospital.
