I like how Ganz is working in the themes that did not win when we voted months ago.
Lol. No Dee. The Roomba will not move the couch and go behind!!! But…I do have 2 dogs. Both are very heavy shedders. I used to have to vacum every day to keep up! Otherwise, I would have large tumble bunnies moving across the floors. Now all that is required IS to get under/behind the couch. I love ours!

i am making tomato basil bisque, but i don’t want to use the “heavy cream†for the soup – i was thinking i would substitute fat free half & half – will that “work†for a substitution? i thought about fat free cream cheese, but i worried it would give it a different “flavorâ€

Heavy whipping cream in soups, pastas and sauces creates a full-bodied flavor and thick consistency while adding unnecessary levels of fat and calories. For a similar consistency and taste in savory dishes, add low-fat cream cheese instead of the whipping cream. At 120 calories and 9 grams of fat per 2-ounce serving, low-fat cream cheese keeps the meal healthier than it would be with heavy whipping cream. Use half the amount the recipe calls for when subbing in cream cheese. To keep the calories even lower, mix 1 percent milk with cornstarch — at a 1-cup to 1-tablespoon ratio — and use it as you would heavy whipping cream. The milk and cornstarch mixture thickens the food and works well in sweet dishes where the sour flavor of cream cheese is undesirable.

I think the cream cheese would work moms….for the soup…..still would be rich and I think flavor would be fine
for vegan substitutes a lot depends on what and how you are making….baking…..cooking

the roux thickened up so much & included a stick of butter, so i last minute went with the fat free half & half – it was so good! it gave it that little creamy texture without making it too heavy or thick … but i sort of want to try it with cream cheese to compare 🙂

Glad it worked out though.
Forgot to mention that we had the first snowfall of the season here. Well technically it wasn’t the first but it was the first time we’ve had snow that stayed on the ground. Only 2 or so inches so it wasn’t the.. as we call it.. “shovelable” snow. It still counts in my book though.

P.S. the reason I am up at this hour [not normal for me, although it is for people my age] is because I am on the phone with an airline trying to purchase my plane tickets. When I booked the flight it was $250, then when I went to checkout it was $294, then it went back to 250, then back to 294 again. I don’t know what’s going on but it won’t let me check out so I’ve been on the phone with the airline for 45 minutes. Good price so I have to get it. Round trip by the way.

dee, noticed Atlantiles change awhile ago; not crazy over it, graphics don’t seem as sharp as they used to be. :-/
Warrior Princess had her stitches out yesterday; all is good. She’s still on antibiotics (2 people job getting the capsule in her). Thought they were for her incision, then find out they’re for her teeth/gums. While she was under for spaying, dr did some dental work. 🙄 hope she doesn’t hold a grudge.

one is by the meow mix folk and the other is…………well, I will check, but blue!
saved us hundreds of dollars in kitty dental work…..plus it is part of their training to come when I shake the can………

Dee LOL about the xmas present. That’s a great price for that flight. We’re going to the grand canyon and surrounding area, which we’ve always wanted to do in the winter. So as you know that is far from home. Got it all figured out though 😀

I don't celebrate christmas but I will do my best to give what I can to who needs it.
I do have a list of stuff I need haha 🙂 do I put the list here? And what is considered an over the top item, so I don't insult anyone. I collect the cars and there are a few psi cars I need, some promo cars and a few other cars I don't know how to classify lol. This is Us had its Christmas Finale last night… great show.. jumps around quite a bit but one of my favorites !!! Show resumes in January..
moms.. saw a clip on national news last week.. featured Reagan the Goldendoodle and foster boy.. If you have a chance to google it… the cutest pictures and story I have seen in a long time !!!!! They apparently bonded instantly and have become best friends.. The photos are adorable…
Foster gramma has made a calendar and will be coming out with a book.

Morning everyone. I love the wallpaper in the estore. I don’t buy estore points with our yucky Canadian dollar but if I did.. this would be on my list! Can’t wait to see what everyone does with it so hoping people will post pics.
It is unseasonably COLD here. I hate leaving my house to go to work and my office is all windows. Yesterday I wore my winter infinity scarf all day just to feel comfortable. So hoping for normal winter weather soon.
