I am trying a new brownie recipe…..should be interesting….it wanted me to beat the eggs first, then gradually beat the sugar into the eggs…..and melted butter versus softened butter……I am thinking they are gonna be pretty rich and dense………hmmmmmmmmm……glad we have ice cream!
plus this recipe only makes a 8 by 8 ……..dh will eat a whole 13 by 9 pan of cream cheese brownies, but he really shouldn’t….just on principle!

Howdy all
Very sad day here … one of the outside kittens was run over … in our driveway … so we know who did it … too much damage … so we sent little YinYang on to heaven ..
Two other kittens (YinYang’s brother) Hunny and tiny Midas disappeared and then BOB hears from a waitress at the restaurant in town that they found kitten matching their descriptions exactly around the restaurant recently .. so someone took them from our yard and dumped them there … pretty sure we know who did that too.
Lots of anger, bitter and sadness here … FFQ and me.
Harley, however, little stinker, is making progress with her spinal injury though she still will not follow Dr’s orders … her recheck is Thursday … she is not able to lay on her back and kick not only with her good leg but with the bad one though it has no real strength yet.
Thanks for the reminder on the berry codes, Dee … I hope I can find the note card I wrote them on and in time.

other than the podkinz codes (no exp dates mentioned in the podcasts), they’re supposed to expire 7/15 but i would try to enter them ASAP just in case, ESP the moonberry basket codes – moonberries are hard to come by
re bake sale, you can keep making furniture from the bake sale foods even after the bake sale is over – they’re coded as permanent recipes per sally. fiona on wkn also hinted in her reply to a letter that the bake sale will be back again (no word on when)

Given the current PokemonGo craze someone suggested we create an app called OutlanderMenGo where you chased the characters from Outlander. Sounds like a great idea to me. Any app designers out there? Or how do you think it would work?

My girls are playing the pokemon go, too. YD is having difficulties her phone is too old and her ipod doesn’t have wifi out of the yard. I’ve been asked to clean apps I am not using off my phone and get it on there so she can play it on mine. I suspect I’ll be catching some for her.

Hello hello hello
Life has been crazy (and stressful) lately. Been unable to work for three weeks now and I’ve been going through a bunch of nonsense in order to get medically cleared to go back. Originally believed I was having seizures and my doctor ordered a bunch if tests and told me I couldn’t drive/work for the time being. Tests came back fine and seizures were all but ruled out (although I do think that one of my episodes was indeed a seizure) went to a neurologist and he said that they were most likely migraines with aura. I’m glad to know that it’s nothing serious, but I’m still waiting for the neurologist to send info over to my main doctor to get the ball moving with him so that I can be cleared for work.
It’s been nice having this time off, but I’m stressing big time about bills. My parents have been more than generous with helping me out while I’ve been out of work, in addiction to helping me with money to pay bills and keep food in the house, they payed to have something on my car fixed and are now offering to pay for my ticket that I got while driving today. I’m grateful that they’re helping so much, but it just makes me feel so bad that they are doing all of this for me.

And I’m loving this Pokemon go. I got my boyfriend addicted and we’ve been going on daily ‘pokewalks’ to catch Pokemon. We went for a ride by the water today to get some and might go to the zoo tomorrow to find more. You can’t go anywhere without seeing people playing this. Literally everyone is playing it. I’ve always been a big Pokemon fan, I grew up during the original craze in the late 90s/early 00s, so this game is right up my alley.

Sorry to hear about all the stress, Choco. Happy to hear you had a good report from the neurologist. And I’d second what LeeAnn said about making sure to thank your folks (I’m sure they know you’re grateful but they’d be delighted to hear that they’re appreciated).
I totally hear you about needing a vacation, LeeAnn. Wish we can take one but alas, until my hon gets a different job where he’s not a temp, he doesn’t get vacation time (he can take off but he doesn’t get paid).
Dee, I do mostly 3 recipes during the work week that I can put together in 20 minutes. Fortunately hon cooks dinner a couple of times and his mom has us over for a home cooked meal at least once a week. Then we often go out on the weekends. So I don’t have to worry about cooking more than those 3 times. We’ll probably be cooking more over the fall when it’s nice to have the oven on (dual purpose – heat and yummy smells from roasts).

there have been some coyote attacks right in my area – pets AND people – one coyote died in one of the attacks, so it is confirmed rabies – the police have warned us not to walk without pepper spray because they have attacked people walking dogs and even with big dogs – ugh!
i need to go to walmart & get pepper spray i guess – i was not happy walking the dog this morning without protection, but i certainly can’t let her just go in our yard off leash right now, and i can’t use lethal force in the neighborhood

Dee. we love zucchini cut into slices.. put it in the frying pan with a little butter and water.. cook until almost tender and then sprinkle a little brown sugar on top.. cook another minute or 2 so the sugar carmelizes on it…yummy.

42 years – at the same job! that’s dedication!
actually, my dog is a 50 pound labradoodle, and she can be possessive around other animals – but the coyote attacked a dog bigger than her 😯 plus, i am as possessive/protective of her as she is of me 😀 i worry she would chase a coyote or fox – she chases squirrels every chance she gets. she is fully vetted, current on all shots, it is just i don’t want either of us to have an encounter with a rabid animal
i am keeping her leashed for now – usually we play ball or frisbee and she gets to run around the yard, but not right now

gramwebbie, I feel bad on the one hand, but I’m getting annoyed with trying to get through dailies and these critters just want want want!! I swap out webbies for each daily, etc. so they mostly all have a turn being the ‘it’ webbie. not the BLG, too many in that town. :eyeroll: but I been wondering if there’s a way to ‘turn them off’? 😳

Dee I made vegetable soup puree last night. I used three colors of carrots and sweet potatoes, plus squash, peas, brown rice and sea salt. The broth was purple before I pureed it. I saw three kinds of vegan egg substitute at the health food store. Not sure how healthy they are the ingredients didn’t look too appealing.

beignets are meant to be eaten fresh, hot – are they driving them from NO? my mother lived in NO for some time, and we have had lots of trips to Biloxi, etc. growing up, so I know a legit po boy & beignet – if yours isn’t just lovely, blame it on the travel time 😉

Re #116 Zingy, I apologize a million times over for not remembering that the Afternoon Tea Dress was not a new item but one we had been able to get a while back from some promotion thing.
No I did not search my codes since I didn’t recall seeing the dress before this newest promo … I did go and search my unused codes and few 3 I think are not used … no I do not recall gifting you one either …
I am very sorry for my goof, sorry to be a bother.
I did search the estore in hopes that I could just buy the dress but of course, it was not available.

There is good news, though, regarding Harley, the kitten attacked by the raccoon. Her vet recheck went well and she is now to work on physical therapy to re-strengthen her bad leg as it has atrophied a bit … she is loving her approved out time to run around like a fiend …
Down side, we need a kitten sitter for tomorrow (FFQ’s college orientation day) and again when we go to Cedar Point for Harley and Dundee ….

i need to do a better job of storing codes for these types of promotions – i have started going through my email and grouping all the same type of codes in one email with the item name as the subject
