The prizes for the fifth part of the webkinz x challenge are nice but I was hoping for the dining table, chairs and place setting. Instead it is the television, caring vanity sink and webkinz day party table. Need to buy three pieces of clothing so if you haven’t bought the new items might want to wait for this part of the challenge. Also you need to play color storm for 110 kinzcash the same game as one of those in the July Deluxe challenge.

Good morning all.
I just couldn’t stay awake last night to play and visit .. super LONG day yesterday with loads of stress. Today will not be better .. BOB is in the hospital .. his life style finally caught up with him in ways he could not ignore any longer. Being treated for diabetes and high cholesterol and … blockage in his heart .. will find out this morning what the doctors recommend as treatment. Hoping NOT open heart surgery …

Krafty I am so sorry to hear that Bob is in hospital. Will be sending tons of prayers up for his healing and prayers for you and yours as well.
I am so frustrated. I do not post on FB so have to rely on someone who does have FB to alert the powers that be, that a bunch of us cannot access our amazing treasure storage boxes. 99% of my pets clothing is sotred in them. The other storage items open fine but not the treasure chest. Sigh. I looked on their list of items missing and to be fixed the Amazing Treasure Storage Box is not there.
Is anyone else on here having this issue?

Just won the Ragtime Piano but seems like it does not play music or maybe it does and its just not working like a bunch of other things. Cute though and a welcome addition to a webkinz room. It is quite large.

taggylou, I posted yesterday about the Amazing Treasure chests on FB (cannot open and not on their lists). Unfortunately, I haven’t heard anything back from them about this but will let you know when I do.
I got the piano too and wished it played music. But the pet looks pretty cute sitting on the piano bench pretending to play.

CWC – Yes, under the History tab on Safari, very bottom “Clear History and Website Data”. That worked for me to log on!

Sorry Bob is feeling so under the weather Krafty, my thoughts are with you both.
CWC I had to use Chrome to play yesterday with firefox and safari having various different issues.
Marshmallow should be on the kinzville map.
I was unfortunately in the middle of an Adventure Park challenge when they did the change over, just one of the daily ones and it messed up. I used all the rock piles and I did not get the second rope I needed so the game is stuck on that challenge. I expect this glitch will require contacting them once things have calmed down some.

On one account I could see the kinzcash and family score line during log out and the next account it wasn’t there. Wonder which setting is what they are going for. It was interesting seeing the kinzcash go up during log out.

For firefox, to resize your screen:
Put about:config in your address bar
It’ll warn you about voiding your warranty for firefox, say yes
At search up top put in resize
Then scroll down until you see an entry that says “dom.disable_window_move_resize†which is set to false
Double click and it should be set to true
Close and re open all firefox windows, then no website can resize your windows against your will

I have been having similar challenges with the size and getting stuck and or logged out. I think you are probably right Zingy post #92.
I love everyone’s gardens. I haven’t checked any of ours.
I have been going on all the accounts listening to the video about the changes(can’t see it though) and just doing the message center and the map for the marshmallows.

i don’t worry about filling a particular pets heart on my main as it has a lot of pets. i just keep doing it to fill the family score and win prizes.

Zingy, thanks for letting me know you reported the storage problem. I hope they make that a priority since I have tons of them with clothing and can’t access any of them.
Krafty, I am so sorry to hear surgery is necessary and I will certainly be sending up my prayers for you, Bob and everyone concerned. I will pray that God will direct the surgeons hands and God will send his Angels to surround and protect you all.

Oh my Gosh, look at all the wonderful gardens. I do mine everyday and it sure beats spending my kinzcash on buying wshop food. I am envious of all the goodies in those gardens. Mine is not very large but it suits the purpose.
I am working my way to the Dr. Quack Statute. I have, 181 pets but sure am not going to try to fill up all those hearts. LOL. I love the crystal bed. Will be awhile before I snag that one.
So many posts to go through. Who won the What If contest or is it still going on? I have been so busy with my two grandaughters here, I barely have time for the computer so have not gone back through all the posts.

Don’t keep them in bed, that’s how they get the sad faces.
Somehow they wake up starved then you have to feed them food to make them happy again – but the food doesn’t help your family score unless the pet specifically adds.
Put them to bed for a sec then get them out.

but i did post a thank you on facebook coz they did do a couple of things we’ve been asking for for years as part of this update
you can now see your room without the bottom doors when you toggle between edit/play
your dock no longer needs a tea timer (so you can remind yourself when it finally opens before you get logged out because of inactivity)
AND i love the family score prizes! The Webkinz World Globe (Level 11,000) is huge, btw.

so far she’s the only one too that i’ve heard having that particular problem
i suspect she hasn’t cleared her cache properly but i don’t think from her tone that she was inclined to do anything and expected ganz to somehow just fix it (which if you don’t clear your cache, the fixed programming won’t get thru)

I am pretty sure some of my clothes are missing from the dock I bought a pair of pants to put on a pet and they didn’t show up. So I actually looked at what was there and it just isn’t enough stuff especially pants. I assume they will show back up eventually.

I HATE WEBKINZ X!!!!!
There. I said it. Webkinz X is possibly the stupidest thing Ganz has ever done, and I’ve been playing for so many years I can’t even keep track of them any more. When I started playing Webkinz, I had a full head of glowing red hair, a stupendous figure, and the energy of a kitten on caffeine. (Okay, none of that was true. My hair is gray, my figure is charitably described as “lumpy”, and I have the energy of a sloth on Ambien.) Anyway, Webkinz X is like the movie “Gigli”. It’s a big-time stink bomb, but they dumped too much money into development and can’t just scrap it.
Where do I begin? How about with the rooms? I can’t stand having a HUGE room crawling out of the computer screen to attack me. I scroll the zoom bar wayyyyy down to the bottom, that fixes it. Until I switch rooms or go to the arcade or sneeze or something, then it’s back to Tyrannosaurus Room. The graphics in the rooms have become decidedly pixelated. The reason I am still playing after all these years is because I love to decorate. I love the detail of the furniture. Now all the detail is washed out. But now, we can at least zooooooom way in to see those washed-out pixels! Yes, I am a glass-half-full kind of gal, so kind of you to notice!
Glitches, get your fresh hot glitches here! The glitches are so numerous that I think the IRS just sent Mr. Webkinz R. Glitches its own tax bill. If you try to open a floaty clicky box, you get logged out. You get random log outs for doing innocent things like trying to feed your pet a Jumbleberry. The WShop must have recently featured a mega sale on big blank gray boxes, because my rooms are full of them. It’s either that, or some inconsiderate house burglar entered my Webkinz houses, stole all my stuff, and didn’t bother to sweep up the dust outlines where my furniture used to be. The furniture the burglars didn’t steal, they broke or defaced.
My Lil Kinz white mouse is very creepy all of a sudden, because it stares at me and blinks, and the eyes blink about four feet over his head. I wonder if he developed invisible eyestalks overnight, like a weird mouse-snail hybrid or something. My hummingbird has become a hunchback. I expect to find her in a bell tower somewhere in France yelling “Sanctuary!” very shortly.
Speaking of my poor hunchbacked hummingbird, I took her to the park. How to phrase this…well, let’s just say that I had time to do the dishes, run two loads of laundry, wax the car, wax my legs, get a pedicure, take out the garbage, enter (and win) a death-cage match, divorce my husband and take him for all he was worth, have a whirlwind courtship with an unnamed celebrity, give birth to two of his kids, divorce him too, climb Mount Everest, and balance the checkbook before my hummingbird moved two inches in the park. To think that the hummingbird is renowned for having the fastest beating wings in all of nature! My hummingbird was so slow she was outstripped by a sloth, two snails, and a stationary rock while trying to get to the swings.
My pets are so whiny and petulant now that I turn away from Webkinz for a much-needed break to listen to my real-life kids bicker and snarl and fight over the last ice pop. (I had time to get more ice pops while I was waiting for my hummingbird to fly half an inch in the park, don’t worry!) I blink and suddenly my pet is on its deathbed from starvation. I spend 13798 KC to feed it up, go spin the Wheel of Wow, and suddenly my pet is dragging its skeletal corpse toward me again, rasping, “Food! Water! The Old Webkinz back! Anything!!!”
I took my signature sea turtle to my workout room for some exercise, since standing on a square in a room for fourteen seconds is so utterly exhausting that her energy meter cratered. I put her on the trampoline and suddenly I had an invisible turtle. Which is a shame, because it’s really something to see a signature sea turtle execute a backflip on the trampoline and now, well, you can’t see it.
I went to do my gardening. In my candy garden, I found a blooming fresh harvest of humongous gray boxes. Sigh. I took myself off to the fruit farm. All the food was ready for harvest, hurray! I went back the next day and found that I can no longer water, or rake, or dig, or do anything at all. I figure this is okay, I can surely find something else to do while my hummingbird attempts to cross the massive distance between the stage and the bleachers in under two months.
I decided to try and figure out the confusing new system of icons that replaced the perfectly logical and accessible Things to Do menu. I think Ganz got the idea of using icons from Windows 8. Because, you know, everything in the whole world needs to look like the tiny cluttered screen of a smart phone. I’m considering reconfiguring my closet in this fashion, as well. Just imagine how easy it will be to get dressed in the morning when all my shoes are filed under a tiny pink blob that looks like a hippopotamus trying to pass a gallstone! Anyway, I got out my magnifying glass to read the print, but it wasn’t strong enough, so I tried a microscope, a telescope, and an electron microscope. No go. I finally broke out the big bad boy, the Hubble space telescope, and that did the trick. Ah, there is the map of Kinzville! I see it now! I click on the icon with a pair of nanotweezers and navigate to the map to see if I can solve the Case of the Missing Marshmallow Collection Event Icon. And, voila! There it is! Only it’s jammed under my map dock, which has been newly relocated to the side of the screen, I’m assuming because of that whole Windows 8 wannabe thing. Aaaaaaand…I can’t click it. After playing around with my screen size for 3.6 hours, I can finally click on the Marshmallow Collection Event icon. Good news, though, my hummingbird has made it all the way to Mr. Moo’s cart! Too bad Mr. Moo left twelve hours ago. Oh well, can’t win ’em all!
I decided to go to the KC+ trading room for a little R&R. Somebody asked me if I had any mystery bag clothes to trade. Well, boy howdy, do I ever! Only, when I went to say that, I found that I couldn’t type. No big deal, they’ve broken KC+ so many times that I have the repairman’s number on speed dial, and I get frequent flier miles for each five service calls. So I go to regular chat and I find I can’t use that ridiculous system of formulaic prompts, either. (Sidebar: have you ever tried to hold a conversation in regular chat? You say: “I want exclusive items”. Your conversation partner says “Want to go to Quizzy’s?” What, exactly, do I do with that conversational thread?)
Okay, so we have established that I can’t decorate, eat a Jumbleberry, purchase anything aside from food to feed the starving hordes, go to the Park, trade in the clubhouse, garden, or exercise. Hmm, what’s left? I know, I’ll go to Adventure Park! Aaaaaaaand…yeah. While my hummingbird attempts to fly ALL the way over to Roberta, I will have time to scrub the grout in the bathroom, repaper the den, rotate my tires, fix that leaky faucet, and get rid of hard wax buildup. Yeah, it’s pretty much exactly as broken as the park.
I am not daunted. I will get my pets their education! I go to the Academy and deal with the frustration of attempting to work around floaty clicky boxes that fly across my screen. But it’s working…the Academy is working! Gah, spoke too soon. The hurdles are now so jerky that it looks like my pet frog is having a seizure with each leap and I can’t time them correctly. Oh well, guess my pets will be dropouts. Next time you see a homeless frog dressed in rags huddled over an oil drum in which a fire is burning, don’t call me. I tried.
In conclusion, Webkinz X stinks more than that slice of pizza under your son’s bed that is so old and moldy that it grew legs and walked out from under the bed, got a job, went to college, got married, had three little stinky baby pizzas, and retired to a life of luxury in the seniors-only Blooming Hills Motor Court Plaza. And that’s some pretty stinky retired pizza, there.

Krafty, this won’t help while he’s in the hospital but after my pacemaker was installed I was always hot as well, my body was not adjusting well to having a normal heart rate. (I was used to a heart rate of 32, 37 was HIGH for me at night it was in the 20s, yikes!) Anyway, I was always hot and could not sleep without the aide of sleeping pills. Did some research and found a mattress pad that allows me to cool my side of the bed to a comfortable 65 degrees and I can now sleep soundly without waking up overheated several times a night. It’s expensive, but I was not able to live life to the fullest when I was tired all the time so I felt it was worth it. I got the single and placed it on my side of our Queen size bed. Our long-haired Shih Tzu must love it too because she sleeps on my side of the bed and doesn’t move around as much.

eggs 23 points for only 6kc and closer to the beginning of the alphabet where i don’t have to scroll. when a pet wants to go shopping i just buy another dozen eggs.
i think ramen is more points (25?) but also more scrolling (both to buy and to give to a pet)
cakes and recipe foods are good too
yes, if i place pets in bed/pool/treadmill/trampoline in succession for just a sec each i almost always have a pouty pet

Here’s what I came up with for tips! If someone would please fact check this that would be great.
Webkinz X Tips – Building your Family Score and Filling those Hearts
Each day, your pet can do these actions to get quick hearts. Do each of these activities for just one second and then stop. This will get you ## family points. Again, these can only be completed once per day per pet.
a. Take a bath (+10 points)
b. Use a sink (+5 points)
c. Jump on a trampoline (+5 points)
d. Run on a treadmill (+5 points)
e. Swim in a pool (+5 points)
f. Sleep in a bed (+10 points)
While using a pet, it will occasionally request something to do. You will have 3 minutes to complete the task and will be rewarded with 25 family points. Although there are different variations of each request, they will essentially ask you to do one of these:
Eat- eat any piece of food (we recommend eggs! 7 KC / 25+ food points)
Play a game – go to the arcade, enter a game, quit the game (don’t waste your time playing, unless you want to)
Buy something from the w-shop – literally anything (including food)
Change clothes – throw on any piece of clothing (you can remove it after)
Note: If you leave your volume on, you can leave your pet in a room and wait to hear the “cryâ€, which indicates it is requesting something.
You get 5 points for filling your pet’s happiness meter to 100.
You get 5 points by filling your pet’s hunger meter to 100. This is not worth the KC in my opinion, but if you want a few more points, this can be done once per day per pet. Eggs are best for filling the hunger meter.
You can get 5 points for filling your pet’s energy meter to 100. This can be filled by sleeping, running on the treadmill, jumping on the trampoline, and even taking a bath or using the sink.
Requests:
“I want to wear something different!â€
“A different outfit would be great!â€
“Playing a game at the Arcade would be fun!â€
“I’m bored. Let’s play a game at the Arcade!”
“Let’s go shopping at the WShop!â€
“How about some retail therapy at the WShop?”
Quick Tips:
Your pet’s score will drop 25 percent every day, this can easily be refilled by doing the daily actions
Warnings:
Putting your pets to bed for extended periods of time (like overnight) will drop their hunger and make them sad (AKA don’t put them in bed for more than a few seconds to get the points)
Sometimes, your pet will say things that are NOT requests, such as:
“I need a nap to get my energy back.â€
“I need to sleep before we keep playing.â€
Pets respond to completed requests by saying:
“Aw, you really do care!â€
Other ways that points are added:
Playing games
Completing quests
Any others?

I’m at work so I can’t log in but I’m pretty sure I get 23 points per egg and I think it’s 6kc (not as sure about the price, i might be remembering bananas’)
leaving the pet in bed then going to wshop to buy them food – by the time you get back to pet you will need more food, lol. anything for more than a few seconds and you will have to buy them endless supply of food to keep up.
you can fill the hearts of 10 points to get bonus points (i think you get 5 points bonus for sleeping/3 points for everything else)
didn’t know about playing games, completing quests – how many points?
someone said they think they got a point for riding a pet to another room but i haven’t checked that (and for a point, it’s not worth much for the time/effort)
you can also create a separate post and moms can place it on the sidebar for future reference.

Sorry you guys get upset by empty hearts, I get them every other day so far. I had 30 full hearts before midnight and zero after. Maybe I don’t understand what it means to other people but I LOVE empty hearts!
When hearts empty, I can fill them again and win more prizes. When they’re full, no amount of playing with the pets will add to the family score.
On my piddly side accounts where there only 3 pets, I only add to the family score every other day as they only drop 25 the following day. I have to wait for them to zero out on the 2nd day before I can add a lot more to the family score. Which means it’ll take forever to get them to my favorite prize: the stained glass wallpaper.
To me, empty hearts can get converted into prizes; full hearts mean I gotta wait until they empty again before I can work on my family score. As long as my family score never goes down, I’m happy – I keep winning prizes.
If you folks can explain what bothers you about the empty hearts, maybe I’ll understand better. What do you use the hearts for?

Prizes for 13,000, 14,000 and 20,000: Serenity Wall Fountain, Sliding Patio Window, Hammock Bunk Bed. Fountain is animated. Window doesn’t do anything and alas the bunk bed only lets one pet sleep in it (hoping they’ll fix it later so 2 pets can sleep in it).
The Surf Pool, prize for 15,000 points is still invisible.

If the family score isn’t for you, don’t do it. If you’re not having fun with prizes, don’t bother with it – you don’t have to. You can still do the games, decorate somewhat, do your dailies, etc. Ignore Family Score, it’s not a requirement. It’s more like a challenge/quest. It’s optional.
I love the new prizes so I want to get as much of them as possible before all the tweaking that Ganz feels compelled to do because of all the whining on FB makes it more difficult to win them. “Oh no, my pets are too demanding, I don’t want them to keep asking for stuff” – so they’re making it so your pet hardly asks anymore (and that’s how to get bigger family score points, sigh).
I wish they put a on/off switch on the petcare so those who don’t want it can be happy and those of us who want prizes can get the requests mode back.

i have a pet care room that i send all my pets to:
wash
bathe
go on treadmill
go on trampoline
swim in pool
bed
I keep switching pets. That’s all.

they’ve been putting in fixes that’s why we get logged out from time to time for several minutes when we all can’t get in
and there’s a major server fix all day tuesday to fix random freezing/logouts

my pet care room is very basic but it works. i only have 8 pets on the asian account so they all “live” here for now. they start off with the wash and go counterclockwise to end up in the tent for a sec.
the big gray square is the campkinz pool (marshmallow collection event last year?) that i placed in the room and got stuck but it works as a pool even tho it disappears completely from time to time

I also have pet care rooms, I put ~30 pets in each room with a bed, pool, sink, bathtub, trampoline, and treadmill. (I’m still looking for more items that might help out the score). I’ll post pics later.

i tried putting two different pools – inground & the yellow lab psi, neither is showing – no grey box, no nothing, they are just stuck there 🙄

Moms- I also tried using the yellow lab PSI and it is invisible too. I can’t remove it either but it is still usable.
Here is one of the rooms. Zingy, I tried doing 50 pets per room but that was too many so I did 30ish per room. The big open space next to the bed is the pool.

Does anyone know what the family score limit per day is?
How much is the bonus you get for filling 10 pet hearts?
I’ve been earning 500 family score points a day by filling about 5 hearts but I’m hoping to up it to about a thousand a day.. is it doable?

Right now there appears to be NO limit to the family score. With all the whining on FB, when they might adjust that so I’m trying to get my score up as much as I can before they put brakes on it.
It is only limited by the number of pets you have. The more pets, the higher potential number of hearts you can fill, the higher the family score points you can earn. On my main where I have oodles of pets, I can fill 30 hearts a day.
You get small amounts of bonus (3-5 pet score pts) on the pet care heart for filling 10 hearts. If you need kc, 10 filled pet hearts add ~50% to the money you get from the Mover’s Job (it’s the only job I do in the Employment office so don’t know about others). With 30 filled hearts, my kc from the Mover’s Job was nearly doubled.
Since I’m now at the level where I can only earn prizes every 5,000 family score points, I aim for 5,000 points per day. My favorite WW activity is decorating and since I lot of items disappear/turn into gray squares when placed in the room, I’m putting off decorating until more stuff is fixed. Which gives me time to focus on pet care.

I get roughly 5,000 points a day, although I think it will start to go down a bit because I fill up all nearly all of my pets’ hearts every day and I can only get 25 points from each pet until it’s filled up.
Are there any ways to get family score points other than filling up hearts?

I’m torn between doing that (getting 30 pets in a room) and just moving them in one by one like I’m doing now coz I’m afraid I won’t remember which room I need to put them back in when I’m done.

Besides honoring requests made by your pets (25 FS pts), wash (5pts), bathe (10pts), pool (5pts), treadmill (5pts), trampoline (5pts), bed (10pts) are the fastest ways to get the family score up.
If you fill a pet’s hunger completely, you can get 5 family score points too but it’ll cost you to feed it to full.
So far, while doing dailies I’ve noticed the 2nd turn of the Wishing Well also gave me family score points but I didn’t pay attention to how much, will have to catch it on another account.

Just wanted to mention, there’s a glitch going on with JB on some accounts where it awards uber number of berries. It might log you out but if you can do it fast before it does, it might allow you to fill a jar and redeem it for a prize in exchange for winning a couple of berries

I haven’t tried it, boper, so I’m just reposting what she said here:
“I am still getting the berry glitch on a few accounts. On one account I knew I had 8 yellow berries it gave me 64. I was able to get 20 in to fill the jar I got the purple bean bag chair then was able to put 6 more in and it logged me out. I think switching putting different berries into the jars helped me get more in. (not totally sure).”

Boper, what specific soccer theme items are you still looking for?
Now that the dock is easier to open and I have to go thru rooms of pets anyway, hopefully I’ll have more luck finding them. If I find the items, tho, I think it’s best to wait until the programming is relatively glitch free before I kinzpost.
Has anyone heard from Gwenda? I was thinking of making a contest about the best tips for family score this weekend but I wanted to wait until she announced the winner and give out the prize before I start another contest.
