waiting on southern meat loaf……….I have my recipe, but we used to go to a local greasy spoon that did a meatloaf like I had never seen! I am a yankee, but this was big and had peppers or something in it and soooo tender and yummy…..sadly it closed as owner/cook was 80

I probably do something like this – I sort of combined recipes:
2 lb ground beef
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup milk
3 slices bread torn or chopped to small cubes
1 small chopped onion (1/2 cup chopped onion)
1/2 chopped green pepper (1/3 cup chopped green pepper)
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 & 1/4 cup ketchup
Finely chop the onion & green pepper or brown to soften. Mix ingredients with 1/2 cup of the ketchup. Form loaf & top with remaining ketchup (or tomato paste/sauce).
When combining ingredients, add liquids slowly while watching the consistency. You want to end up with a moist, firm loaf that holds itΓ’β¬β’s shape. It should not be crumbly-dry or runny-wet. This may require adding more or less liquid. If too wet, add bread. If too dry, add milk.
Bake 350 for 1 – 1 1/2 hour

I was just able to get two of the deluxe sandals. New trick. During check out before “continue check out” right click on the name of the item and open in a new tab, continue with check out in the original tab. Go to second tab and complete check out there. I tried for a 3rd but it didn’t work.
