    Got the artichoke dip recipe from our hostess. It’s not just yummy (we couldn’t stop eating it), it’s easy too

    2 cans of Artichokes (Bottoms or Hearts)

    1 cup of Mayonnaise

    1 cup of Shredded Parmesan Cheese

    1 Freshly squeezed Lemon

    Mix All together in an oven proof dish

    Chop (2 cans) Artichokes place in mixing bowl, Add mayonnaise, Parmesan & Lemon.

    Preheat oven to 375*

    Bake for 25 min or a little longer (her hubby likes it when it gets a golden brown crust)

    the plan is to make those Tortilla Blossoms for dinner tonight. Realizing I have to adjust recipe. 🙁 I’m capable; a rather good ‘by the seat of my pants’ type wing it in the kitchen person. Still, this should be interesting. Stinks that dh is the better cook.

    I have a story (which I may have told)

    dd had a school activity this evening. drove/drop….five minutes later, come pick her up due to weather……….I would LOVE to do the soapbox as to why school waited to cxld……..we live very very close to school thankfully

    oh yeah, freezing rain knocks out satellite (we knew) if you did not know that already….throw a cup of warm water on the dish

    dee, don’t know what cxld stands for. our schools have some kind of alert system to students homes. we get the auto calls too, because I’m down as back up for grands. ps. check mail

    waaaaaaaaaaay back when…………dh and I were secretly dating.
    I flew in to visit him as much as possible (you all remember that first rush)
    My return flight was cxld……….I had never seen that before!

    wound up doing a bunch of turbo prop planes to get back to work Monday morn……….by a couple hours……….tee hee……….we use it as code for when something does not work out as planned……….(i.e. dd going to school activity for evening)

    I think that covers it

    well, today’s the low key bday since my honey already treated me to a 7 course meal last saturday and i’m still digesting the food from the 2 superbowl parties last sunday

    i might pick up a tiny cake for 2 at the local bakery and if i do, it’ll most likely be chocolate

    i’m eating chocolate pie in honor of zingy’s bday – that’s my story …

    i like to celebrate bdays on weekends, too now – i used to be a “on the day” person, but now i like to drag out the celebration to a week or so 😀

    thanks, everyone! great to see you back, leeann! glad they’re keeping you out of school with all the winter weather, boper.

    it was all in all a lovely day. got stuff i need to get done at work then my honey made us a steak dinner with sauteed asparagus and an arugula salad with orange segments and hearts of palm. i ended up baking a brownie cake with chocolate chips and pecans and had it with sea salt caramel ice cream.
