zingy – lots of times i just buy canned pillsbury crescent rolls and beef cocktail weenies – cut each crescent roll into 3 sections, wrap, bake

are they foodies zingy or people who eat food?
hummus is good or cannellini bean type hummus with them little toasts you see by the bakery. dd loves to just do wraps with different tortillas and meats and cheeses and “sauces” (i.e. cream cheese and chive spread, spicy mustard, horseradish and mayo..)
I know the chex cereal folks have tons of ideas for their cereals…..
rotel and cream cheese is good too……..

Tortilla Blossom’s
I cups rice cooked
1 cup (or so) chicken or burger
4 oz cream cheese
½ cup shredded cheese
¼ mayo
1 taco seasoning pkg ( use any spice you like)
½ salsa of your choosing
Combine cooked rice and meat to the remaining ingredients.
Cut 8†flower tortillas into quarters. Microwave tortillas for 20 seconds and place in mini muffin tins. Fill tortillas with rice mixture and bake 375 for 10 -15 min.

Hubby had chills and a very high fever, so I had to call the ambulance.
He has an urinary infection, bronchitis and pre mature pneumonia.
He is feeling much better today, I didn’t go to the hospital because I am still very sick with a bad cold.

Howdy,
GOT BACK HOME yesterday. My excitement & happiness was short lived though. My GRAMMA was in emergency then admidented with kidney failure. so we headed right to the Hospital after the call. spent a lot of the evening there.
Doc said it could be anytime, Up to two months. 🙁

I took a mental health day. After couple required errands; I went shopping, all by myself. Cool Vans had to be ordered; two pairs of skinny’s…I think that was it, but it was a fabulous brain clearer. 🙂

I have heard of paints too………tempura batter is that light fluffy batter (like sweet and sour chicken). We are gonna coat green beans in it and fry up for super bowl….because we eat….could give a hoot about teams………..but we are rooting for seahawks as our niece lives there……….

it’s been a while since i made tempura with some friends using cook’s illustrated’s recipe but this batter works as advertised:
Shrimp tempura
SERVES 4
Do not omit the vodka; it is critical for a crisp coating. For safety, use a Dutch oven with a capacity of at least 7 quarts. Be sure to begin mixing the batter when the oil reaches 385 degrees (the final temperature should reach 400 degrees). It is important to maintain a high oil temperature throughout cooking. If you are unable to find colossal shrimp (8-12 per pound), jumbo (16-20) or extra-large (21-25) may be substituted. Fry smaller shrimp in three batches, reducing the cooking time to 1½ to 2 minutes per batch.
INGREDIENTS
3 quarts vegetable oil
1 1/2 pounds colossal shrimp, peeled and deveined (8 to 12 per pound), tails left on (see note)
1 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
1 large egg
1 cup vodka (see note)
1 cup seltzer water
Kosher salt
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Adjust oven rack to upper-middle position and heat oven to 200 degrees. In large, heavy Dutch oven fitted with clip-on candy thermometer, heat oil over high heat to 385 degrees, 18 to 22 minutes.
2. While oil heats, make 2 shallow cuts about ¼ inch deep and 1 inch apart on underside of each shrimp. Whisk flour and cornstarch together in large bowl. Whisk egg and vodka together in second large bowl. Whisk seltzer water into egg mixture.
3. When oil reaches 385 degrees, pour liquid mixture into bowl with flour mixture and whisk gently until just combined (it is OK if small lumps remain). Submerge half of shrimp in batter. Using tongs, remove shrimp from batter 1 at a time, allowing excess batter to drip off, and carefully place in oil (temperature should now be at 400 degrees). Fry, stirring with chopstick or wooden skewer to prevent sticking, until light brown, 2 to 3 minutes. Using slotted spoon, transfer shrimp to paper towel-lined plate and sprinkle with salt. Once paper towels absorb excess oil, place shrimp on wire rack set in rimmed baking sheet and place in oven.
4. Return oil to 400 degrees, about 4 minutes, and repeat with remaining shrimp.

short version: for anyone adopting into an account with 200+ pets, hold off until monday
long version: there is a glitch that will kick you out of the account and lock it but betty butter webkinz said that hopefully it will be fixed by then
there is a sort of workaround using your mobile device to switch pets but in the worst case scenario, they had to delete pets from an account and whatever clothing the pets are wearing also disappears when they do this

Bruno and the chili peppers rocked!
tempura grean beans were fabulous……..I made a sauce and we all say it tastes just like chick fil a sauce or the onion ring sauce from red robin!
we did have a 2nd quarter fumble with a WHOLE bowl of peanuts….so we will vacuum after the game

no new recipes, dee. it’s actually a couple of friends’ superbowl game parties. we ended up picking up an assortment of dim sum treats and brought them instead of cooking. one of the dips i really liked was an artichoke dip. i’ll have to ask the hostess for that recipe.
