MLK Remembrance
Today is a Federal holiday in the United States to remember and honor Martin Luther King, Jr. who was a leader in the Civil Rights Movement. In 1963, King gave his “I Have A Dream” speech at the March on Washington pictured here. In 1964, King received the Nobel Peace Prize for combating racial inequality through nonviolence. King was assassinated on April 4, 1968 in Memphis.

Arctic Cold Moving into Central and Eastern U.S. with Heavy Snow for Mid-Atlantic and Northeast
A strong cold front will dive southward from the Plains and Midwest on Monday to the East Coast and Southeast on Tuesday. Bitter wind chills to 40 degrees below zero will impact the Upper Midwest. Strange
I just adopted by Snow Leopard, Queen Elsa.
In WW I got a snow couch, but in WF I got a snow cave.

Howdy! been gone aaaaall day!
took dgd’s to see Frozen; LOVED IT!! then out to later lunch. gramwebbie, it was a toss up between Nut Job and Frozen; couldn’t do both.
dh and I went out to dinner with friends. now all showered and jammied, needing to catch up here. 🙂
AAAAAND…last weather report I saw said 10″ of snow for us!!!! I did happy dance. 🙂

My hubby and granddaughter saw Nut Job together and when I went to pick them up they wanted to see another movie, so we all went to Frozen.
Snow starting here tomorrow morning, 8AM.
It is dialysis day so of course the weather will be bad.

I think because of that event mostly awarding food (Parents club winterfest floater) that they have not coded it into the prize popup at log in so that we won’t know that we didn’t get anything good… again.

Dialysis Day – Going to pick up hubby now, I hope he is done. I am so happy they called to have him come in early today.
It doesn’t matter what the weather is, dialysis is never missed.

i saw SERIOUS looking snow clouds off in the distance – we aren’t supposed to get any – wwwwwaaaaaaahhhhhh! why can’t it just spread out a little so no one gets swallowed up but we don’t stay just cold and boring???
apparently a school system to the north had to shut down early though because it was coming in seriously … i got hit with three or four pieces of sleet – that’s it – end of winter weather 2014

We are home safe and sound. It has been snowy and snowy and the worst is yet to come.
News said my granddaughter had no school, but now she is getting e-mails from friends that say it was a half day. Teacher has assigned new homework, but all the kids that stayed home don’t have the books needed.
