Cookies…
Our girls have been getting together for a day of baking the last few years; making beautiful, and yummy, trays of various traditional cookies. My favorites are the spritz’s, shortbread? the sugar cookie that isn’t real sugary. Also love the peanut butter with chocolate kiss, macaroons, chocolate chip, and brownies (do they count?).

KGH – my boys like to decorate but not eat gingerbread so I buy them a kit at the store
This year they have a “village” so they can do their own things. Five and Below had a “Ninja bread man” kit that was cute b/c the cookies look like ninjas

As for cookies – my mother and I bake for a couple of days usually
We always have spritz, sour cream frosted (softer than a sugar cookie) and others – we have our special recipes but no longer make every kind every year

i usually have adblock on but paused it to get the wish token and 250 coin on ww
i did webkinz friends then logged out from facebook and match.com had an ad on the page that popped up – they prolly pay facebook for the advertising space

Thanks for the recipe.
I hope to get to Below 5 soon for stockings stuffers, so I can check out those ninja gingerbread man.
They made ornaments from salt dough today, I think we will work on our cookies tomorrow.

gramma – start baking one of the brownie mixes 5 mins or so, line with peppermint patties, then pour the other mix over and finish baking

hmm…….yellow cake mix and a couple cans of cream cheese frosting……
i have a little baking pantry with flours…sugars…chips, dried fruits, cocoas, extracts…and so on……..
but yeah….i am not a nutto……….we make our oreo truffles, with oreos, cream cheese in the food processor, roll, chill and then dip in melted white or chocolate chips………….they are fantastic

never even heard of an oreo truffle. we have most of the basics on hand; even creme cheese ’cause it was on sale the other day and dh bought it. not sure what his plans for it are. lol

i pkg oreos
1 8 oz pack cream cheese
puree in food processor
roll into 1 inch balls, chill for at least an hour………with a toothpick, pick them up and dip into chocolate, white, semisweet, milk….mocha……..whatever trips your trigger……..chill to set
if ya have extra chocolate…….prezels, marshmallows, nilla wafers…fruit

easy peasy……….a friend gave them to us for years……we moved and told her I had to have recipe…….i was shocked how easy!
you could probably do with other cookies…choc chip or whatnot..just need a dry cookie

no one delivers way out here……..so…….i try to keep stuff handy
we were spoiled in anchorage….you name it, we could have it! even in super duper poopy weather! I felt so bad for the drivers……….food was hot tho
only place I have ever had delivery except for one apt in germany….a greek italian place…………..it was heaven!

We never made the candy cane reindeer (we would cause some serious baking mischief, KG! 😉
Candy cane cookies, yes my mom made those, the spritz, and cookie press cookies with the tweaked recipe.. vanilla AND almond extract… makes all the difference in taste!
My mom made a huge variety of cookies/confections for Christmas… I need to get her recipes so one day we can start doing them too.
