we (meaning dh) have always made it in the oven….we have looked at the dehydrator thingys…….but they run for 18-24 hrs………..

There are special stocking hangers that sit on top of the mantle.. hang the stockings from its hook thingy.

Another thing you can do it have a special piece of wood, can be decorated, wrapped in.. paper, foil, painted… that you set on top of the mantle and then put cup hooks or fancy hooks that are permanent in THAT piece of wood, put felt or cork, etc on the bottom to keep it from marring the real mantle wood.

You could even put a border on the fake mantle piece that would hang down over the edge or the real one with the stockings pinned, nailed, etc.. underneath the border or through it..

zingy, I use regular stocking holder things….heavy ones as we seem to get loaded up by santa……nice ones are not super cheap (dhs was twenty dollars)….but they last forever…usually have felt bases…..
our kitties have the five dollar ones from kmart as their stockings are small

we use stocking hangers here too, but once santa fills the stockings, he usually leaves them propped up along the hearth so they don’t pull down accidentally
you could use those command adhesive removable hooks – i’ve used them for other things – wreaths, etc. with great results

sorry to hear that moms. i presume you “accepted” before your challenge popped up? or it didn’t count?
if their pic is still hovering over the mansion, don’t accept and wait until midnight kt when the pic disappears and you can harvest it then.
or if you’ve already accepted, click on the mansion and use 1 kinzgem (if you happen to have kinzgems earned from the WOW) to harvest it sooner.
until i got past the challenges that required the mansion (you’ll need it 3x), i was nervous about accepting help so i didn’t accept unless i knew it was someone who only harvested regular houses.
