Hi! your welcome..glad to be able to help out as all of you usually find out all the good stuff wayyyyyyyy before me! lol
Dee I did some really strong stuff for antibiotics..you really don’t want to know what it did to my insides!!! but only 3 days after stopping the ear infections came right back! so weird..though this time they seem to be going away on their own ( keeping fingers crossed)
really this year seems to be a whopper for everyone getting sick early. I have just been plugging through and getting as much rest as possible..but then on top of it all..after going 3 months this time without, I got a visit from mother nature…sigh..I thought this was all done..I can not wait till it’s over for good.
Oh and Dee? I have a freezer full of bananas! I make sure to save all that start to get too soft..it’s getting cooler now and I can start baking banana bread, I make it in small loaves cause when I make it everyone has their hands out for it..so it’s easier to give the little loves and everyone gets some! Dee, do you put things in your breads like chocolate and raisins etc? I like to put all kinds of stuff in personally..even dried chopped up figs. yum.
and I actually bought pumpkins this year..going to make fresh pies and I even made two apple pies last week. not sure where the baking bug came from all of a sudden! I was thinking of making a Pecan pie too. never did that yet. and a coconut cream. for some reason that really appeals to me.
Dee.. I know fruit pies can be frozen, how about coconut cream and pecan? I was just wondering if I could get a bunch of baking done and freeze them for all the holidays so I can relax and enjoy them this year. just a thought.

I know you can buy frozen cream pies…….I would not let them freeze too long…..I read somewhere about milk solids breaking down or something like that……I do freeze butter and shredded cheeses. I have heard of folks who freeze gallons of milk….

MOMS…sorry your feeling “poopy” hope you feel better fast!
well..I did something stupid yesterday..I decided to cook myself silly..ready for the list?
2 pans of lasagna for freezer
2 pans of stuffed shells..1 for freezer one for dinner
1 apple pie
1 coconut cream pie
1 pecan pie
yup I cooked all day..I am still beat today..and just laying around.
I had never made coconut cream OR pecan..apparently the pecan is the BOMB, or so I am told..I am just getting ready to try the coconut cream myself..never made that either so keeping fingers crossed!
I still can’t believe I did all that in ONE day…I am so paying for it, but it’s so nice to have meals in freezer ready to go should I not feel like cooking.
and it’s STILL raining here…poopy day!

the only pie i have ever made and froze for future was meatpie
you know pie crust, hamburger, cheese, onion soup mix and a can of campbells cream of whatever……it is sooooooo stinking good. especially cold rainy days

it kept on the shelf and was a treasure as it was sugary……
another luxury was bananas! thank goodness she has access now. all of us “old” ladies need bananas for potassium……
and I remember they were crazy fond of canned fruit cocktail…….jeepers, why is this not a paper research project for me!!!
