Country and General Store Themes Are Retiring!
On August 28th the Country and General Store Themes will be retiring to Deluxe! That means that if you’re not Deluxe, you won’t be able to buy these items.
You still have a few more days to get the items from these Themes – buy them up while you still can …

patsie & gramma – i would think that ganz would consider going completely virtual since they have so many less retailers – i can’t imagine that cracker barrel or hallmark stores will benefit at all with the retail pricing …

i agree with what gramma said
i think ganz wants to be the next zynga
(from what i hear, they have lost retailers because of unfavorable policies re returns for defects, minimum orders, etc)
they forget 2 important things that stand in their way
-zynga and other popular app companies don’t put out games with a whole lot of glitches (they have waaay better programming) and if they had issues, the customer reps respond quickly via email
-ganz’ main customer base, who gave them word of mouth advertising, are peeps who bought the plushies (ganz is known as a toy maker, not a software company)
it doesn’t look like they’re working on improvements on programming (each maintenance brings another new set of glitches)
and they’re alienating their customer base who helped them make millions
so i don’t think this trend bodes well for them or for us

i completely agree – i’ve heard horrible feedback from retailers, some of which basically lost a TON of money with ganz from their bullying tactics, ridiculous pricing, and lack of service …

thankfully dh served up my crockpot dinner while I was gone…AND washed the dishes……
i hate to bust this bubble and tell him i want to rearrange furniture (meaning he moves all the big stinkin heavy pieces and i tell him what to do)

Tuesday morning has them too….2.99 and then some are 60 percent off for clearance….love pets, frogs, seals…pets like that…
I just won’t buy them as I do not know if I will be able to use them…
if everything is deluxe, what good does a purchased pet do me?

Ganz has only had a few webkinz pet codes that they set to “expire”.. The HOP bunny and the $1 pets from a … you know… the fest they used to have where stores used to participate… the one year if you bought pets xxx you could pick a $1 pet or something like that… or bought from the store you could buy a $1 pet… and we had a certain number of days or weeks to adopt them…
I doubt they would make outstanding codes unadoptable, that makes zero sense. We can still put in other old codes.. red tags etc..I believe..

Starting on August 28th, room decorators will no longer have to worry about losing their old wallpaper and flooring when they redecorate! We will be making an update that will allow players to swap out their wallpaper and flooring with any other room style! This means that when you drag wallpaper and flooring into a room, instead of it being removed, the old wallpaper and flooring will instead be moved to your Dock! Also, when you add a new room you’ll notice a brand new starter look, with drywall wallpaper and plywood flooring! Be here on August 28th and get ready to decorate!
