cool idea about lip sofas for a Valentine room!!
there wasn’t any floor for the Valentine wallpaper. I used the camp flooring, then saw estore used it with the paper too.
I did two new Valentine rooms this year. Poor Vanna Eluvant has been waiting a year for a room. She has a Hallmark type store, but had no ‘home’ til now. Rose moved right into her home. I’ll post screen shots, but be warned…all my rooms are starting to look alike.

moms, the pink heart box is an estore toy box and holds up to 12 items. haven’t put anything in it to know if that’s clothes or actual ‘items’.
also, the white shelf looking thing is a bar from that new theme that is mostly white with aqua blue on it.

these are Valentine’s rooms…first one is a multi purpose room shared by Valentine’s family and neighbors Rosalie and Lovey. Second room is Valentine’s family bedroom w/ sitting and play areas for family time.

Talked to a CS rep from the estore yesterday… having to leave a message to get a call back… not liking that, like less the email contact for webkinz.
Told the guy that these changes (as they call them) that delays, makes it harder to get support was not filling us with confidence about the state of the company. Asked him to pass that message up the chain, he said he would… but had no comment about things…
I really like when they say “only xxx left” umm they are pixels, how do you run out of those, out of stock… really? How does that happen?

So I just got some good news that I wanted to share with you all! I was accepted to both of the summer study abroad programs that I applied to. I’m still waiting to hear about whether or not I will receive funding (so keep me in your thoughts/prayers/fingers crossed!). But I talked with my parents, and my mom agrees with me that the program I most want to go to would be such an incredible, once in a lifetime experience for me (and could have huge effects on my academic career and future because the classes I would take in Italy count towards my major), that even if I don’t get funding, it would be worth it to take our a loan to cover whatever part of the costs I can’t make through working before this summer.

Hey everyone! just popping in..guess what? more snow tomorrow another 5-6 inches..and I just got dug out! and they were also predicting another storm on Sat for another 20 inches!!! but today they said it’s going out to sea..oh I am so praying it stays on that course!!! we have no place to put that much more.
I am having problems getting all my candies in the park. It will not let me get the Asian accounts or the European ones done until a whole 24 hour period is gone by!! what is up with that??? did anyone else notice that? and because I couldn’t get in two days in a row I will be lucky to get 2 out of five of my accounts done for the big prize..sigh.. I’m beginning to hate Ganz

The WKN ads usually reset at 7pm KT. Otherwise it’s 24 hours and it’s a pain. Sometimes I wonder if it’s deliberate or a glitch. Like this am, apparently there was a window where you could get the dog bone chair for free. Course they fixed it.

The Italy program is actually not a foreign language program. It’s in our Mind/Brain/Behavior department so its sort of a psychology/neuroscience program (and the classes are all in English, thank goodness!). Luckily my school has lots of $$ for things like this so I have a pretty good chance of getting funding. Also the program itself was able to fund a few kids last year. So those are my first options. I’m looking into other ways to get free money, but worst case scenario is that I can earn about half of the money I need before summer, and take out a loan through Harvard for the other half (they have loans for this purpose and they pay the interest until you graduate). Which would be great because I should be able to pay off any loan like that in a year or two through work study.

rf – If she liked books like the Hunger Games, she might like the Divergent series (2 of the 3 books are out, the last one will be out soon) by Veronica Roth, or the Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld (this one doesn’t seem like it would be like Hunger Games, but it is very dystopian once you realize what is really going on). I would also highly recommend the Matched trilogy by Ally Condie. Also the Delirium trilogy by Lauren Oliver. All four of these are very much in the Hunger Games vein (in different ways but your mom might like one or more of these).

Zingy, my sister and her dh have a house in Rome and one they built in Calabria with a view that’s unbelievable. I’ll never see it ‘cept in pictures, because I could never take that long a flight; but it’s beautiful. Think Under the Tuscan Sun. Sis has olive trees and takes the olives to a press to make oil. She has bee hives and collects the honey. She also writes; including the Mac, iphones, and ipad for dummies books. Also wrote one for AARP, Tech to Connect. Looks like her next one is an Idiots Guide to Living Zen; told her I need that one for sure. lol

Zingy, my sister is 12 years younger than me. From the time she was 18, watching her life has been like watching a movie. she’s well traveled, I stay close to home. oh, and I don’t do big boats so cruise is out of the question too. She lived in San Francisco for quite some time. I never got there either, tho’ we did send our oldest daughter over the month long break after Christmas her first year in college. Sis got her a gopher job where she was working. dd1 had the time of her life. lol

seems ganz forgot it was valentine’s tomorrow (or at least their server guys did). glad they postponed it for another day.
i’ve never been on a cruise either but my honey’s parents seem to enjoy it. i’ve also had a friend recommend it as a “floating hotel” – you go to sleep and wake up in another city without the hassle of packing and unpacking. if i take one, i’ll let you know how it goes.
sounds like your sis is happy to share her good fortune, that’s great your dd1 had terrific time visiting.

mechanical – things that move, engines, machines, etc.
civil – things that shouldn’t move – buildings, bridges, roads, pipes – & water & dirt
environmental – more water & dirt
electrical – things you can’t see
industrial – like business engineers
aerospace, computer, etc. are pretty self-explanatory
