   HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

   New year’s day is quiet for us. I’ve been watching the Rose Parade. Pork roast is in the crock pot. Mom will come for dinner.

   Is anyone having trouble with kinzpost? After I send a kinzpost, it won’t let me send another one without logging out and back in again. Very time consuming as it takes a looooong time for the dock to open. 🙁

   I go back to school tomorrow. xP Not looking forward to next semester and exams. I hate that I’m looking forward to Spring Break and Summer, but then its like I’m going to be a senior next year 😮 and applying for college is scary. I don’t know what I want to do!!!!!

   I really hate that I was only able to take health classes. (theres 4 schools apart of the regular school, my school only has like health electives and they don’t let us transfer over to take like art, marketing and like engineering classes for example) So its like its the only thing I know. I may just go to community college. If my parents will let me.

    Like college is just scary. And all the jobs I am interested in (dermatologist, geneticist) all have like 8 years of schooling and like 4 years of residency, but thats not what my life should be able. I don’t want to be like in my 30s before I get to enjoy life without having to study all the time. I wanted to be a pharmacist because it was only 6 years -_- I don’t want to be a nurse with like long hours and where I’d have to stand up and walk around almost all day (I know that would hurt me especially with my scoliosis)

    everything you said makes sense…mostly. I’ve thought being a pharmacist would be a nice job. Since all the fields you mention have something to do with ‘medical’, wouldn’t your first four years of college classes be basically the same for all those fields? giving you time to narrow down to your where your strongest interests are. Please don’t get hung up on age (30). You will surely have fun getting there, even if you are in school. It will be soooooo worth your time put in to get where you’re going. (((HUGS)))

    Hey there Gramma & Flow!!!

    Flow- There are certain classes that are usually required for all/to most degrees. You could start with them. That way you’ll still be working toward your goal. Also I found that college was easier for me than High School. High School tends to feel more like an institution & college has more freedom. The classes were definitely more interesting AND you have more control over what classes you take & when.

    There are always jobs in technology……… Try to do something you enjoy/something interesting to you…not just for money. A job takes so much of your life, It’s better to make a little less & be happy.

    Yeah I do want to find something I like. There’s so many jobs, but of course I do want something I could have a nice living. Everything is very expensive.

    I’m thinking /maybe/ a nurse practitioner. (seems to be about 7 years) And I wouldn’t have all the walking around in a doctors office and still get pretty good money.

    Flow – at least you have some idea of what you want to do. I’m starting college in the fall and i still have no clue as to what i want to do. I don’t have the money either, so i’m probably gonna end up going to community college for a year or two and then transfer to a university once i have a better idea of what i’m interested in doing. Not exactly what i would like to do, but at this point i don’t really have any other choice.

    By kids, I’m not really meaning like children, I’m meaning teenagers. Just to clarify. Children are all hopeful to do big stuff and thats good for them, but once they become teenagers, its not likely at all. For president there are so many people with the same goal, and out of 50 governors, 100 senators, 435 representatives a lot of them are thinking they want to be president. and theres a bunch of others in the picture

    There is nothing wrong with community college. You can knock out your 100/200 level classes at a fraction of the cost. My local community college charges 323 dollars for english 101, at the university (state by the way), same class costs 1020 dollars.
    MOST state schools offer scholarships/grants as you move up to university after your general education credits are done.

    picking what career you want can be difficult. Do not think you are gonna get your dream job with dream money. Life is not like that. What can/will you do that is interesting enough to you to study and work at? And that offers wages that you can live on and save on and possibly support a family on.

    you can actually start by looking over career lists that are projected to grow in your future – check forbes and whatever your school has.
    — are any of these out of touch? (for example, i would never be an accountant)
    —are any just gross? ( i could never be a nurse, do to guts and stuff)
    —are any not your personality? (tv reporter, human resources has to work with complaining people everyday, teachers have all that drama etc)

    you will live much more than you know in college, residency, anything you do – my best piece of advice is DO NOT REGRET

    if you want a medical degree – DO IT. Suck it up, and do it. I don’t know anyone who every regretted it.

    i have a very hard to earn degree & look at me now 😀

    but still, no regrets … that degree got me a GREAT career, set me up for “early retirement” so that I could be a SAHM – that was all 100% my choice … that evolved over time & I love that I got to have all the experiences and am right where I am today 🙂

    Life is good.

    When it’s gifted as deluxe, you get a code to make an account deluxe later. You should get the swan code too. You just can’t add bonus accounts (which are currently half off too btw).

    Dee, right on re community college… I used my grants there too and then I had enough money from them to pay for books too plus a little money came to me too though not much. As long as you take courses that transfer, meaning college level not remedial but I don’t think that is anyone here…

    i was able to match my transaction history and find the emails. the codes are no longer in the transaction history but fortunately they’re in the emails.

    that so-called estore upgrade was a downgrade in disguise. no more emails and all the codes before then have disappeared.

    CWC, we ended up watching and listening to
    Jackie Evancho: Dream with Me in Concert.
    Her singing is amazing for someone who is so young.
    She was ten I think when it was recorded.
    She is now twelve.

    Happy ended up not watching and listening to
    Jackie with my mom, dad and I.

    We have a laundry shoot and love it.
