plus, with snuggly kitties I think I am destined to be still long enough to crash zzz but need to eat first.. means I have to put Ezzy down and that will not be popular with her lol

Also just found the Frankenstorm post.
Believe me, I will never ignore any Hurricane, or NorEaster warnings
as Hype. It was bad, really really bad. Lots of NJ Coastal area totally wiped
out. Homes, just disappeared off of their foundations and are no where to be found. My Moms house took in over 3.5 feet of water. She was in a ranch, so she lost everything. All appliances, furniture, shoes, clothes. Kitchen stuff, DVDs, Pictures, Photo Albums, etc… We found a neighbors storage container of photos and albums in our front yard. Her house was locked and it was inside of her house when the storm hit. She also had other items that disappeared from the inside of her house. The only reasoning we came up with was that the tide that came in with such force some how shifted her front door open and then when it went back out and the high force winds changed direction it slammed her door shut again. We took my Mom and cats out during the storm, so she stayed save. We heard from neighbors who stay and then got trapped and couldn’t leave that when the tide rolled in, it was strong and very vicious.

My Moms house so far we salvaged and washed what clothing and items that weren’t ruined into my storage unit. Her walls, floors, subfloors and ductwork have been ripped out. Next step is to have a mold remediation sprayer come in and spray.
Then put subflooring in, empty her attic, then have the heating guy come in a reinstall all her ductwork in the attic instead of the crawl space. They are saying the East coast is probably going to flood more often. The saddest part is seeing all of my Dad’s custom work in the house, ripped out and tossed to the curb, along with all of the items that my parents worked so hard for all of their lives. My Mom didn’t have flood insurance because the house had no mortgage, therefore not required. FEMA only gave her about 30k to fix the house again and just standard building supplies, no custom cabinets, bathroom fixtures etc. is going to be over 100k. Luckily we were able to find some good folks. volunteers, church groups etc.. that did the rip outs for nothing.
So that there is my update on things…

Oh forgot to say – No Power for 8 days, we were cold, and so bored at night with nothing to do. So you fall asleep as soon as the sun sets, but you don’t sleep well because you are afraid that because the whole neighborhood is in the dark looters are going to break in. Every noise in the night wakes you. We finally got a solar, crank radio from a friend and then we spent the last 2 nights, singing and dancing to the songs. I am thinking Solar Panels within a year 🙂

hey cocomac! So glad to see you, so very sorry for the storm troubles, that is bad!
All I got from the storm was power out for 3 hours and a kitten we rescued, now sleeping on my bed, lol
I haven’t seen any blue lamp ads at all, didn’t know any one had found them, thought WW hadn’t started that event yet

Howdy All!!!
Eager Beaver is one of my favorite games, Tile Towers, with the Canaries coming in third. Atlantiles has been my go to game lately.
coco, I’m so sorry for all your mom and your family are going through. We lucked out down here. Ocean City took on quite a bit of water; several businesses that normally stay open for the winter are closed til Memorial Day. Lots of clean up still going on. A woman who works in the same office as dd2 had water like your mom and is dealing with all that entails as well. We’re offshore. If moms hadn’t texted me Sandy was right on top of us, I wouldn’t have known. Our power was out due to an army truck wiping out three power poles around 11ish in the morning. Contrary to earlier reports that Sandy wouldn’t have an ‘eye’, the eye was on us when moms texted me and it was eerily quiet, then the wind would howl. We had surges of roaring whipping wind, but little rain other than what we’d been experiencing. Next morning the only thing out of place was a gutter guard laying in the front yard. Lots of leaves and smaller branches and twigs; but no real damage. My nervous system suffered more in anticipation. THEN those weather folks were showing the nor’easter heading right for us! we had a lovely afternoon of snow from that one! 😯
coco, there has been an Arthur video up for quite awhile. Prizes are the sweater, reindeer slippers, elf communicator(which makes a nice IPad for the webkinz, tho’ a tad large), Santa letters, and the flying sled thing. Let me know what you’re wanting/needing and I can send things to you. I only missed a few days of doing the video since it went up, so I have enough to share. 🙂

There’s a benefit concert on the Hallmark Channel tonight in Madison Square Garden to raise money for victims of Sandy. Lots of the stars are from New Jersey too.

Me too, momsk, I was so disappointed that I wouldn’t be able to do webbie stuff on my new tablet. It is so pretty, they sent the white one, which I did want. The S pen is pretty nice, makes using WI etc easier than my old tablet.

Hi coco…sorry to hear about your family’s loss..I know what clean up after a flood is like, and to lose stuff you work so hard for..not on the scale of your mom, but bad enough. I feel really bad for all those hit by the storm.

i got up my scarf rings today and the Irish lace curtains..then ONE scarf..lol I for got how LOoooooooNG those things were! and to do it all by myself is time consuming and hard! lol but I got one done..hoping to get the other 3 done tomorrow and get my tree up! I am SOooooooooo far behind..WAHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhh! yup I’m whining. sorry.

I am so excited my 6 webbies from the WF Ambassadors program comes in on Friday. I can’t wait to see what Ganz sent.
Then on Monday we are supposed to receive our 10 virtual items from the program. I will let you know if I got anything good! I think one of the webbies will be a Rockrz pet, because we did talk about the Rockrz quest 😉
We were supposed to get a poster signed by the developers BUT they had a problem, so they are going to send us a virtual poster. 🙂 that should be interesting, wonder how that is going to look and wonder can the signatures be seen and read, can it be hung in my webbies house?
