aww that owl is adorable! wish we could keep the gift boxes-so pretty. i also like the poodle’s psi but not keen on the poodle colors. would have gotten the guinea pig but not sure now-don’t need another shower.
netbook is crashing again despite trying restore after a windows update. may have to start shopping for a replacement. it’s probably time but i was hoping to wait at least until my significant other finds a job (his company laid off several of them a few weeks ago).

btw, the pecan tarts were a hit so thanks for posting the recipe link, dee!
i still have filling left over (i suspect the person who posted it scaled down the recipe for the tarts but forgot to scale down the ingredients for the filling) so will make more tarts tonight.
i first did it pressing down the dough but that took a long time so next batch i rolled it out and used a 3″ cookie cutter to make the tarts. they were perfect for a mini-muffin pans and so much faster.

my brain is fried by this time of day…..it is poem in german by a very famous german poet….so I am sure it has been in many anthologies….I will look again tomorrow when I am fresher. I teach in the a.m. and just made plans to meet dh for lunch. dd is going home on a bus to a friend of hers…so i will have time….

MOMS..how are you doing??
I’m not loving any of the new pets either..but a couple of the PSIs are want-able!
I have been so busy doing webkinz friends…and decorating house and yard..I have almost all the WF gifts now..got like 4 left to get of the KNOWN ww gifts. I am loving them..so worth the time I am taking to get them I think. and I kinda am enjoying the break from WW. Don’t get me wrong I am still getting the freebies! lol but just not doing much IN WW right now.
Oh and my craft room should be finished the end of the week!! I have wanted this for 6 years now! I’m so excited..the cabinets go up tomorrow, and the extra electrical outlets too! I can not wait to start scrapbooking and sewing again..and I have these huge pine cones from redwood trees that I want to put fake snow and glitter on, going to give each of my sisters one and my mom..I have no idea where my guys father had gotten them, but he gave them to me to do what I wanted. I always wanted to see the redwoods..doubt I ever will so this is the closest I will get! lol I have so much craft stuff just waiting..and I will have a tv, stereo, and computer down there too. hopefully the upgrades I will do on that will allow me to go online with it. just waiting for the ram I need and a new monitor. I um..dropped the one I had while moving stuff yesterday..oops..ok well it was one of those BIG old models..and It might have slipped on purpose?? SHHHHHHHH!!! lol just kidding I didn’t do it on purpose..but yeah I dropped it and it wont stay on now..
I also got the Curio Shop walls two days ago from WF..and I love them I did go into WW to create a curio shop..guess I should probably take a pic to share huh? I do have other accounts I am using for WF and when I get some of the items in stock I will trade them…or just gift them…WI has a picture list of all the items if anyone is interested.
Krafty, I was wondering how your doing in WF? I noticed you’ve been in a few times lately. and would you believe my mother is at level 50 already? and she started two weeks after me! go mom! lol
are we doing wish lists this year moms? or a secret santa thingy? just wondering. and if you want you can put up the next set of deluxe items including the sleepy hat i just got this month..can’t remember the exact name right now.OK? Thanks!

Just stopping by to say hi! I’ve had a crazy past few days. A quiz, a paper and an exam, plus my job on top of that. I just took a 2 hour nap. I could barely keep my eyes open! Haven’t had much time for WW lately. I need to do the peeks soon before they go away. I’ve been playing WF a lot and getting those prizes. I’m so excited for that Gingerbread house building kit! I think I will go buy one and get started now!

before we moved we looked at a house that had a fantastic craft room – it was like a desktop built in around the walls with cabinets above/below and in an island – i could not have imagined it, but it would be great even for a computer/homework station, craft station, gift wrapping
i’d love to have a comfortable place for gift wrapping … what do all of you do to wrap gifts? sit on the floor and bend? i’m wondering how i am going to feel about it afterwards, but standing at the counter might be better …

Thanks moms and Krafty! don’t be jealous though it’s just in the basement..that can FLOOD..lol but since we have really good NEW pumps not worried about that. and the cabinets are all mismatched..nothing fancy..BUT it’s my space, my room, and I have a HUGE table to work on, used to be my kitchen table in my old house but too big for the kitchen here, nice Formica top can take a beating and still look good! big enough to lay out a clothing pattern too. plus I have room to put up a long folding table for extra space. I just need to pick up a new sewing table as mine got ruined in storage, thank goodness I had the foresight to take out my sewing machine and put it back in it’s carry case!!! I just got home and the electrical is all done! by end of next week should be all set to start crafting again..can you all tell I’m excited???lol
and I sit on the floor and wrap in front of the tree..and end up not walking straight for a day or too LOL.. and I KNOW it’s going to hurt and I do it anyway, how stupid am I? lol
well the old man is in the kitchen tonight…cooking BACON…yup I said BACON…we are having BLTs tonight…and I don’t have to do anything but dishes…and clean up all the grease…you have NO IDEA how much grease that man can spatter on my stove and counter tops…but I grit my teeth and leave him be..because I LOVE bacon but can not no way no how stand to cook it! that greasy feeling on my skin…ewwwwwwwwwww.lol

I love bacon but oh my what a mess he made tonight. seriously it was so bad I wanted to cry. He even got it all over the floor? my stove was COVERED in grease..and I mean it literally. the overhead fan, my counter next to the stove..I had to take my whole stove apart to clean it, grease UNDER all the knobs?? huh? ok this was bad, starting to think he was getting back at me for mouthing off earlier. seriously.
I’m sure some of you will remember me telling you about his oldest, and how that kid can be towards me. well he messed up again and quit his good job he had to start another which of course fell through, so ..no job, his wife left and left him with the kid. so what does he do? calls his dad up and gets him all upset, and then asks..ready? if he can move back into the garage here since he fried the electrical system in our camper and we got rid of it…with the kid in the garage? NO WAY! that’s all we need. there are no interior walls no furnace and only a toilet that is shut off during winter months. what is this kid thinking? well I told him I will move out that kid comes back here, he about put me in the hospital with his poop last time and he is 27 years old, thinks he knows it all. well then be the man you keep saying you are and grow up right? and I think I got him mad at me, but he promised me that after the 4th time of this that he would tell him he can’t come back again to live. be one thing if he was respectful, but he isn’t he is rude and abusive. and I will not take it anymore nor should I have to. right? and am I wrong to feel this way? sorry to vent yet again..I’m just so riled up tonight..I really want to choke the &%@$&! outta someone.

You are totally in the right there, Chant, and you have to take a stand.
Similar thing with my one sister and her youngest, that kid did nothing but abuse everyone who helped her and then did it again a few more times. My sister is a breast cancer survivor and is not at her best. So the constant stress and new trouble from this kid … too much and she still kept letting her come back.. one time the girl tried to empty the house of furniture etc. When caught left everything pulled out and a mess. AND the girl deliberately made a baby with a friend of hers…

Someone also pointed out if you decide to do make it in the oven:
Lay a sheet of foil over the top loosely to prevent spattering all over your oven. Remove top foil about 5 minutes before its finished baking for final crisping(I pour off the excess grease at this point,too.)

i just have to get this off my chest-this latest maintenance update where they switched 2 old games from regular to deluxe and several new clothes and one christmas item are deluxe only stinks.
over 100 pets among 6 accounts, if there’s a w on an item, i have it and i’m feeling like a 2nd class citizen with webkinz. they happily accept facebook credit or gems for webkinz friends but if i can’t get past a goal because of a stuck item on the iPad, there’s no customer support (no reply after more than half a dozen fix-it ticket requests). if it wasn’t for the blog, i’m seriously rethinking webkinz.

zingy – i know what you mean – i don’t agree with all the deluxe changes – i’ve said since they first offered deluxe that they should grandfather in webkinz accounts with more than a certain # of pets … we spent our money buying those pets long before deluxe …. *sigh*
we love having you here & this place has definitely kept a lot of us into webkinz i think – it’s a great common interest that brought us here 😀

i think it’s great when they add stuff for deluxe-i had to suffer through a bazillion amethyst hats in the past and wondered what i was paying for
it’s the bait and switch tactic that i’m reacting to. sign up for ww with a pet-get all the benefits then they start taking them out one by one (vacay, games, what’s next?)
p.s. they’ll happily take your money for deluxe too but not necessarily give you the monthly points and gift boxes you bought without suffering through a call to customer service

KK, just want to warn you not to place a building in the spot where I have my Hippo theater on the iPad-it will get permanently stuck so it can’t be moved or collected from. and there’s no one to call or send a fix it ticket to get a building unstuck (the request can be sent but no one ever replies or does anything about it).

dee you reminded me of how everyone dressed when i lived in tx for a year-i’ve never seen so many stilletos and false eyelashes when i run into supermarkets in my sweats. maybe they run into friends all the time but i can’t shop in uncomfortable clothes.

chant, you have to get to the gorgeous theater challenge to be able to build the hippo theater. and you can only build one theater per account.
fortunately i’ve not had the stuck building problem on my FB account. though i haven’t been able to get the theater on FB to cough up what i need to finish the recipe for the Making Music Challenge that’s why I started over with an iPad account

I never did that. I have pretty thick hair as does my dd. we bought some bumpits last year for a buck and played with them. It was hysterical as we looked just like hairy coneheads!
