    wow Moms An earthquake? !! can’t say I have ever felt that.

    my Bf’s grandfather and father were vets and life time career his father served in the marines AND the air force! talk about dedication! and his brother was career vet too just retired and is now working for the military as a private citizen. lol also my father (korean war) 3 of my uncles (Vietnam, one lost his legs there) and my brother all served.

    I wanted to go myself…they denied me because I was asthmatic! I was bummed.

    you know a nice letter would be sweet instead of a gift – even a $5 starbucks card or something, but a letter from you would be very thoughtful to let your teacher know she is making a difference

    FFQ always gave her teachers gifts, til middle school, she would have her main teacher and then 3 special teachers; music, art, gym, plus the secretary and principal.. then each year she would give the new teachers and the old ones gifts.. the pile grew and grew

    At first we gave out seasonal small wreaths I make, then after we moved the first time and I had started making jewelry again, she gave out jewelry.. the teachers LOVED the jewelry gifts (loved the decorations too but.. girls LOVE jewelry) and especially her gym teacher as mist would give her gym-like gifts..

    we won honor cabin which is like the award that one cabin from each unit gets at the end of the week. you need to have a clean cabin and have a good cabin cheer and a good overall attitude and stuff.

    For the cabin cheer you take a song and change the words to make it say why your cabin should win honor cabin. we did ours to “under the sea” from the little mermaid lol it was the best cheer everrr hahah

    at my camps there’s 4 units teen girls, youth girls, teen boys, and youth boys.

    that sounds so fun patsie. I wish i could travel outside the country, my family doesnt like to travel and i havent gotten any other traveling opportunities elsewhere.

    at my camp theyre part of the program called camp america so we have counselors mainly from england, which is so cool bc i love british people hahaha. I’ve had a counselor from new zealand before and theres this guys who comes from the netherlands every year which is really cool too,

    oompa, your camp sounds like fun I bet you will like being a CIT ! I never got to go to camp, but I used to take care of some kids that went to a day camp in the summer, and I used to take them..they loved it! You know it makes me think that maybe I will call that camp before the end of school and see if they need some volunteer help..give me something to do! and I got to go to England back IN 2000 saw the Dome, and lots of stuff even rode a horse in the hills! to tell you the truth by the end of the first week I never wanted to come home! I fell in love with it all. London was great..but the country is what got me..and the people..they were so wonderful! I got to stay three weeks with a friend I met while she worked here as an Au Pair (or what we call a nanny) and she invited me to go stay. it was a once in a life time dream vacation. Bet you wold love it.

     Howdy all

     I haven’t had the chance to search for links, I used parent one I already had. Hopefully things will be more calm today and I can get more webkinz stuff done

     BF’s sister and BIL will be back this next weekend, here for a few days and then go to MI for T-day. I am so not up for their return. 🙁
