My backpack just died out after 6 years…it was an old navy one I found for 97 cents!
I get dd the Jansport brand as they are VERY tough and usually come in lots of colors and patterns….if you can hang on, stores usually mark them down half price the week after school starts.

ok funny critter story made short, heard driveway alarm looked out door, saw a woodchuck heading away from me, he heard the door, turned around and his face was comical, two huge front buck teeth, his eyes looked like they were bugging out of his head, and he had this goofy frightened look lol then all of a sudden he came running fast as he could right at me! he wanted to come in the house!!! almost freaked me out and I shut the door enough so he couldn’t get in and said “well hello there” and he freaked and ran away!

we are backpack weirdos tho…i have one for road trips, one for boating, one for camping, one for dh only road trips….one for off the grid road trips…
I have a lot and they are pre packed with basics…..
for example off the grid pack has bug spray, toilet paper and hand sanitizer and a flashlight and an emergency blanket thingy

Patsie, it seemed durable enough for me. I wait at bus stops in the rain occasionally and walk…..at school in Alaska, I think it was harder on the back. I am amazed the old navy one lasted so long.
dd is tougher on them as they get slung on concrete and on the bus and whatnot

I leave an old backpack packed for vacations that I usually add a few things to. I then have a tote bag I use just for skating that says “Skate” (it should be obvious why I use that one for skating). I then have a backpack from last school year still packed.

My current backpack has holes inside and all the zippers fell off. It is just like the one I use for vacations (that I used to use for school). The old school one is purple and the vacation one is blue.

We have probably over 200 designed pencils. I use normal pencils and collect the designed ones. Happy ( my sister if you do not remember her) prefers mechanical pencils.

I played “hooky” from skating tonight because I already skated this morning. I then skate twice tomorrow, and twice Friday and once Saturday. I have a show Friday and Saturday. The rink is my second home.

we had 2, i had 3 my first year. my other counselor was from my area. she was really funny though in like a sarcastic way. but we all got closer with my british counselor for some reason.

i’m looking for cheap kinz to adopt on the free accounts. not seeing deals from walgreens lately. ebay’s a little tricky to search to make sure there are unused tags. will try searching for those other stores you guys mentioned.
seems they “fixed” the trading room so i can’t trade out items from them anymore. i kinda like the free aspect (mind you we have over 100 kinz over 6 accounts) as i only use them to get hard to find items like tc dining chairs or finishing wkn promos faster.

we went as far as evacuating for Irene when it looked like we would be a direct hit. then she only knocked out some power and downed some branches before heading up Chants’ way and really wreaked havoc. trouble with the hurricanes is they’re fickle. we were already settled miles away from here before weather guru’s showed radar of her veering a bit.

G’morning!! how did everyone weather their storms?? we didn’t get anything at our house. dh was further north at a tractor pull last night. he said they could hear thunder in the distance and there were baby pop up tornadoes. during his last pull, he saw one headed his way! π― then it started to pour buckets; he and his buddy scrambled to load up the tractors and headed home. he thinks he got two firsts and a third; never finished the last pull.

Could you guys please pray for a girl who used to go to my mom’s church because she recently lost her baby girl. She was a really young mom (i think shes about 20) and her little girl was only 19 months old and i can’t imagine what shes going through right now. She moved away several years ago, so i never got a chance to meet her daughter, but i’ve seen pictures and she was absolutely adorable.
