School: Been busy with school and social networking xD but for me its going good, I have an AP class and that has taken up time so sorry I haven’t been on as much
Boyfriend: This is a yes, I have a boyfriend now. And it’s been about a month and a half (first boyfriend). So he’s taken up time, but my grades have only improved because of him, so no worries in him affecting my schoolwork
Family: The same. Family is okay, not the best, still have the annoying and jealous sisters. My parents thankfully permitted me to have a boyfriend and I got the permission to hug boys xD
OPIs: Since I’ve been busy, I don’t have as much time to do my nails and I haven’t had a lot of money, so my favorite has just been “Are You Callin’ Me a Lyre?†It’s just been simple and easy.

howdy all
Helped to complete yet another last minute MUST finish for tomorrow school project for my youngest, she and her “dad” on my list O.o
Last few days of this school year, can’t believe how fast it went!
Had some computer problems earlier, wouldn’t boot up. Took battery out 4 times, nadda. Waited a while, took battery out again, left it out a half hour maybe. Put it back in, turned it on and booted up ok, one DLL missing relating to an apple thingy. Uninstalled all apple anythings.
Made some awesome earrings the girls were arguing over (in a good way) made some extras to sell

both kids had swim team, i did my grocery shopping, watered the plants, fed my patient breakfast & morning medicine – now gotta run to target for gauze
they told us not to change the dressing, but no one counted on a shifty patient that pulled it off, so might as well put on fresh since i have to redo it anyway

well my friends today is the day I really am going to get to go to the van thingy! YEAH!!!!!!! it’s a long drive, so I sure hope it is worth it, must figure out how to get my man to play games and hoola hoop, yup, am bringing camera! lol
I did think to call ahead and make sure it was going on, and found out the place having it is also giving out 15% coupons, free gift bags, and a free ice cream cone, at least that is what I was told over the phone this morning. and get this, ready?

It’s a chocolate candy store! yes my friends you saw that right, they make chocolates there. webkinz AND chocolate, can’t get much better, because my guy is a chocolate lover, which means he will be happy too, and it’s a surprise as I did not tell him that! lol
I am just sitting here waiting for my guy to come home now he called and said he is on his way ( yes, he took early leave from job for this!) and I get dinner out today too, I’m feeling so spoiled rotten! wish me luck! I will let you know how it goes!

I hope you guys don’t mind a little rant right now because i’m really frustrated with this whole situation. Its been a while since my last rant anyways, so this is a bit overdue.
In my drama class we have been working on our lip syncs for the past month or so (or at least we were supposed to be working on them) About 2 months ago the group of people that i usually hang out with in that class decided that we are going to do Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen (which is a 6 minute song) for our lip sync. At the time we were talking about all these ideas for the performance, and based on what we had at the time, it seemed like it would be a pretty good performance. When we came up with that stuff we had a mini play that the whole class was working on, so at the time we had to put the ideas on hold and focus on the play. After the play, we started to work on our ideas for the performance again, and by ‘work’ i mean sit in the hall with the song on repeat and talk about whatever. We wasted a good 2 weeks doing that before we realized that the date the teacher set for the lip sync was coming up real fast. Then we attempted to actually work on the performance, but then the teacher pushed the date for it back to this Thursday because most people weren’t ready and my group just started messing around again. I’ve been trying to get the people in the group to work for once because even though this is my fourth time in drama, this is the first time that i’ve actually taken the lip syncs seriously and i want our performance to be good, but no one cares. For the past week i’ve been on everyone in the group to start working, and they act like them want to work, but then they just mess around. We did practice a few times on stage, but after running through it a few times, we realized what a disaster it was, but instead of coming up with something new and practicing it, the people in my group just continued to mess around.
Today the teacher said that everyone needs to go in the auditorium and she needs to see our performances to know that we actually have something for thursday (shes been saying for the past 2 weeks that she needs to see our performances, but this is the first time that shes actually done it) but right after saying that most people went in the auditorium and she just stayed in the classroom talking for 20 minutes. After that my group finally went in the hall to pull our performance together before we go on stage, but instead of practicing, we just threw all of the ideas we’ve had for it for the past 2 months out and came up with completely different ideas and we have yet to run through the entire some with them. We have a 6 minute song and have 7 people in the group, we can’t just say that we are doing something and run through it once and have it be good, it takes planning, but of course no one cares. After that we went in the auditorium and it was complete chaos. We went on stage, but we didn’t get to do anything because we ran out of time.

Anyways, i don’t know what to do and i’m just really frustrated. Thursday is the last day that we could possibly have the performance because its the last day for the seniors and the majority of the people in the class are seniors. If our performance is going to be a disaster then i don’t want to do it at all and i know that the other people in the group feel the same way about it, but they still don’t care. I don’t want to drop out of the group because its too late to join another or come up with something on my own. I could just accepted an F for the performance, but i have an A in that class and i want to keep it that way.

choco – okay, here’s my advice from a grown up, but really someone who has no experience with your performance . . .
learn the song – learn EVERY word – be prepared to be a “lead singer”
try to get the others to coordinate dance moves and everyone learn the part I put in between the *********** – it would be cool if you had at least one other serious friend that you two could learn it together & be lead singers in a ‘conversation’ like do lines back & forth & let the others do chorus on Galileo & Let me Go that is shown in parenthesis . . .

We all know the song (we’ve all heard it enough times that i’d be shocked if anyone in the group didn’t)
Most of the lip syncs that the drama classes do aren’t done in like a concert format (like the lead singer, drummer, etc.) And what we were originally going to do was have the auditorium blacked out and do a lot of stuff with flashlights, but that didnt work out so we planned to have a spotlight instead, but the person working spotlight would have to know exactly whats going on on stage and where we would be and theres no time for that. The 7 of us would all have different parts in the song, but that didnt work out.
Today they talked about doing a skit from waynes world (or something like that) and have to people from it (i forgot the names they said, i’m not familiar with it) and they would introduce us and Queen and we would have like full on 80s rock star outfits (but of course theres no time to get that read) and then the 2 people would join Queen (us) on stage in like a concert or whatever. idk, they were just shooting ideas around.

Theres so much that we could do with the song and i think that some of our original ideas were pretty good, and until we tried it with the flashlights on stage, it did look good. If we had more time and people in the group were focused, then we could have a really good performance, but thats not going to happen.

you could all wear black tshirts with neon or metallic spray paint guitars on them & play air guitar
or just random spray – or spray silly string on each other . . .
or see if they have those inflatable guitars at walmart or the dollar store and play them
there are simple ways to make it fun – if you know the words, then the rest can be fun

Theres a bunch of rock band stuff in the prop closet, so we have guitars and i think theres a drum set. Theres also a piano backstage that we could pull out or if the teacher wont let us theres a mini keyboard in the prop closet.
We were just going to wear all black, but when we decided to do the spotlight, we talked about dressing up as 80s rockstars, but i dont know if everyone has something they could bring in to wear and there isnt enough time to raid the closets in the drama room. No we’re probably going to do it with a strip of red lights and possibly a spotlight if we can get someone who knows what they’re doing to work the spotlight. It think we should just wear all black because there isnt time for anything else.
Last week we talked about trying to stay after school for a day and use the auditorium, but we never got around to asking if we could do that. Maybe i’ll see if they want to do it tomorrow since it will be our last chance

like i said – learn the words! keep the moves fairly simple – use those props but keep it somewhat to a mimimum – you’ll be fine – someone can have drumsticks and ‘pantomime’ as can keyboards & guitars if necessary
start out slowly then get crazy towards the end so people don’t get bored the last 2 minutes . . .

I loved my translation course – we did stories and poems and magazines and letters and business stuff and jokes and songs even.
I loved deciphering the Fraktur – I did the best with it in class. But I am a whole school nerd (meaning I take notes and study and all that)

Dee, my German teacher and I are both hesitant on if I should do Honors German 4 especially after I did horrible on our Grammar test. I think it was horrible because it was matching and combined all the concepts we had covered this year.

i still struggle with it and reuse my study sheets from way back when.
Once you find a way for you to memorize (there really is no other way sometimes), you will be okay…..to be good, you have to work really really really hard…
I know profs who use songs, or mnenomic devices (not sure if I spelled that correctly)
I personally memorize the charts for all the cases and adjective endings. After years, I know verbs and adverbs and so on….altho I will sometimes not conjugate into praeteritum correctly

I finally got to see a van event for myself! lol I’m beat though, just glad I was able to go and get lots of things to share with my family because none of them could go.
It was a smallish crowd which was perfect in my eyes! lol though I will say those poor guys were sweating bad lol but they were cute and funny too! the only thing I didnt do was hoola hoop…not with my bad back and hip lol but oh man, I really wanted to try it! LOL

well moms I can sum it up this way, to go once yes it was worth it, I was surprised from what I had heard that the gifts were limited to just a few items. the carriers were scarce, got ONE, and only that one because my guy asked for it lol I would only go again IF it was close by, I would not spend the time or gas money to travel that far for it again.
I did love the place they had it at, the Hebert candy mansion!
The guys were great, kept it moving fast. very friendly people , thought there would be more games though. they had plinko,zum toss, and the wheel. hoola hoops, and jelly bean guess. and the prizes were nice but they had tons of the same figures instead of some of each one, ran out of bookmarks too fast, I didnt get even one and I was there right at the start lol and lots of clothing items, they DID not offer any 5 dollar pets or any pets at all except the wacky zing oz for trivia, which my guy won one of lol yeah to my man! lol and only series one card packs which gave nothing BUT KC to me and I had 8-9 packs.
sorry I did this here, I don’t go into my email much just figured this would be faster.
as to what I would change? not really sure, guess more games and better variety of the prizes? the people doing it were really great can not find fault there at all AND THEY PLAYED MUSIC WE ACTUALLY LIKED WHICH WAS A PLUS! LOL and maybe some free plushes?? I was sure I read that they did that but they didn’t at this one.
and um, let’s see, maybe that they do one IN CT? LOL
not sure if this is what you were looking for or not . I couldn’t hear their names so can’t supply you with that sorry. I did however take a few pictures though not sure hos good as my guy was taking them! lol have to look and see if there is anything worth sharing.

The two we went to two years ago, not many games, one place wouldn’t let the adults play as they didn’t have enough prizes.
It was miserably hot that day, it was like AZ in Ohio with the humidity, so not fun to go, was at the zoo and not a nice zoo either. It was cruel to the critters, so tiny living areas and so few critters to see. I will never go back. They will not get more money to misuse.
Not sure why they don’t plan to visit the hottest places in the fall when it cools down some and visit the cold areas in the spring and summer time

chant – about selling $5 webkinz, they cannot sell them when they are at a webkinz retailer, only at fairs and things where there isn’t a store “hosting” the event – makes sense because a retailer wouldn’t exactly welcome giving up their profit and opportunity . . . they don’t give away typically either as far as i know

the table and lamp look just like the w shop stuff, except they have like a blue line on them….they show in your dock as “glow”. The vase has blue flowers instead of the w shop yellow one.
