Dee, when I was 14 my mom would let my friend and I (and her mom too) go to a movie at a certain mall, we stayed around the theater area and looked around.
Now days, not so sure, the kids can be mature and responsible but it is the others around that cause worry for me. I haven’t allowed FFQ in that situation but she is allowed to walk from school to the library WITH a friend here and where we used to live, walk from the school to a karate dojo WITH at least one friend. BUT that group (FFQ) had several strangers, adults and older high schoolers stop to talk to them etc and they did not always do the smart thing in response.
Right out back of our previous garage, a guy (high schooler) came up to FFQ while she was loading the car to leave for here and asked her out, never met her before just stopped… she did do smart then and told him she was.. the age before this last bday and he said OH ok and walked away.
She is tallish for her age and far too.. shapely, in my opinion o.o but I haven’t found how to alter THAT condition yet!

I never dropped either of my girls at a mall. As pre-driving teens, I would drop a group off at the boardwalk and another parent would pick up; or vice versa. Same as school dances and local activities. BUT, nowadays…I’m glad I’m not the one having to make those decisions. π

Hi dee! I did mine awhile back too. Krafty is having trouble with the first clue on the Christmas treasure hunt. I’ve entered an acct to do it and it isn’t working for me either. This has to be a ganz issue. There are mazin’ hamster sections under Newz Blog, Kinzapedia, and Forums. NONE of them are giving up another clue. hrumph!

Momz-no nothing like that—That’s why I thought Legoland would be cool cuz they’re having a kids New Years Eve’s at 7 with fireworks—But it’s been at capacity the last few days & they think it will hit capacity early tomorrow too soooooo hmmmmm?

we are doing a kids new years
wii games, board games, videos
gonna get decorations from party place, I have hats and horns
I just made chicken salad for canapes

i thought slicing them little grape tomatoes and putting them on top of the canapes would be lovely
