Today, Friday June 25th is Take Your Dog To Work Day.

Yes, I have Millie, a Labradoodle. I think you have all seen her pics by now. ♥ She is a SUPER dog!

If I ever have another dog, I might get a little dog like a Maltese or something. Millie is 45 pounds and perfect size with the children and everything. I have to be sure I get an allergy-friendly dog because I am allergic.

I know at my grandmas nursing home, the employess get to bring their dogs in for special events. they have birthday parties, fashion shows, halloween and all that for the dogs.
I have read many articles saying how much older people enjoy the furry critters

Hey everyone!
I think everyone here knows by now that I have 2 Labrador Retrievers named April and June. April (chocolate!) will be 2 years old next month and June (black!) is almost 7 months old. They are total goofs and at times you would think they were 2 bulls in a china shop instead of two Labradors! They are often referred to as the LabraDORKS or rhinos as well. They are the loves of my life, 2nd only to my hubster. ♥
Here they are sunbathing and hanging out with Gumby.

I don’t have a dog of my own now, but we have two grand doggies. Buster Dachshund is good with his immediate family. He was civilized to me when I took care of dd2 after surgery. 😐
Sanford Bulldog puppy (exact age escapes me, but well under a year old) has been staying with us since Sunday while dd1&fam are on vacay. He was delivered with a list of instructions about food, treats, potty schedule?, etc. His tail looks like a Cinnabon minus the white icing stuff. He’s 50lbs of puppified love and slobbers alot while he works on getting the peanut butter out of his kong(which he’s doing as I type).

I am owned by a cog. he drinks out of the toilet and comes when we whistle. he also knows the hand commands (non verbal) for stay and come
also, when I say “save mommy” he knows to come to me and kill whatever is there. mouse, mole, lizard etc

I have 2 dogs at my moms house “Shih Zhus” Bella and Dustin or as we call them Bella Bear and Dustin Lee 🙂 Bella is about 1 and Dustin is 12 and at my dads I have a golden retriever named Sandy or as we call her Sandy Cheeks 🙂
If I ever get a dog when Im older it will either be a maltase , yorkie , shorkie or a pekinese 🙂

Time for Timer was the collective title for a short series of public service announcements broadcast on Saturday mornings on the ABC television network starting in the early 1970s. The animated spots featured Timer, a tiny (often ranging on microscopic) cartoon character who represented the sense of “time” in the human body. Timer was in charge of when a person felt it was time to eat, time to sleep, etc. He carried a large pocket watch inside of him, which would often set off an alarm whenever something was about to happen.

Perhaps most memorable was “I Hanker for a Hunk of Cheese” in which Timer, recast as a cowboy with a thick Western accent, suggests “wagon wheels,” sandwiches made with cheese slices and crackers as an easy and nutritious snack. (When Timer prepares one on a kitchen counter, he rolls it down the counter on its edge and proclaims, “Look! Orange female cats are rare because of like genetics.
Orange cats are mostly male. It has to do with genetics, males have x and y chromosomes and the x is the color, so you just need one orange gene. the females have XX, so you need orange genes from both parents.
Calico cats are almost always female (if its a calico male, it would really have some messed up genes, and it would probably wouldnt be able to breed)

Big Oompa~ Agreed. I personally don’t think that there should be any pageants for kids under the age of 8. Kids should have a choice. Sure the kids on T&T say that they like it, but thats because their parents started putting them in pageants when they were less than a year old, so thats all they know. And shaving/waxing, fake teeth, make up, spray tans, and tons of hair spray, are not things that 5 year olds should be wearing/doing.

My friend does pageants, but she didn’t start until she was almost 13 and she asked her mom to enter her in pageants, her mom didn’t force her to do them and she really enjoys them.

Big Oompa~ Because its a religious camp and i’m going to have religion shoved down my throat for a whole week. And i cant wear like half of my summer clothes there because they are ‘inappropriate’ i can’t wear short shorts (and those are the only kind of shorts i own), bikinis (i need to have an ugly one piece) tank tops. They expect you to get a one piece swimsuit and long shorts and its pretty much impossible because no one wears them anymore.

Flow~ They want us to look like ‘modest young ladies’ as they put it. I guess that means that we need to have our bellies, thighs, and shoulders covered 🙄 I wear short shorts, but they aren’t so short to wear my butt is hanging out, so i dont see what the big deal it. We cant even wear tankinis, we have to have a ‘modest one piece and board shorts’ i sorta kinda understand not allowing bikinis, but tankinis too? Most of them go almost all the way down to the shorts, and they show about an inch of your belly at the most, so whats the big deal? I pretty much have to buy a whole new wardrobe just to go to camp because almost all of my clothes are ‘inappropriate’ I dress like a normal teenager, not a you know what, so whats the big deal?
I am not going to that camp next year.

Just wondering, but why would your mom send you to camp when she has to buy bikinis and regular shorts for every other time of the summer and then buy one pieces and long shorts? tell her next year, that you would rather invest that money (both the camp cost AND the clothes cost) into something you would have more fun doing. plus you would be a little old for camp next year. if she says there is no other option then tell her to put the money away for college.

I told her that i didn’t want to go this year but she signed me up anyways. I told her that im not going next year. I want to go on vacation next year instead because the last time we went on vacation as a family was in 2003. She said that she’ll talk to my dad about it any maybe next year we can do something or whatever. I dont like that camp, its way too structured, way to religious, any while its fun, its still very annoying. When i’m at camp, i dont want to listen to someone preach for an hour everyday, i want to have fun.

no we try to avoid their house as much as possible i may be here for awhile tomorrow because my mom is going to clean tomorrow. i looked on ebay for the raccoon and it was only like $10, so i decided to wait until I got home. I just rather save $5 (with the tax and all) by not buying it at the store. I go back home in a week and a half. 🙂
