Winterfest Schedule for Webkinz Newz

Ganz has told us the schedule for Winterfest on Webkinz Newz.

As you know, Winterfest will last from January 15th until January 23rd! When you hunt snowflakes in Webkinz World, you’ll receive a random prize each time you click on a snowflake, but on Webkinz Newz it works a little differently:  Each day, a different prize will be available. All Webkinz World members can win one prize per account, per day on Webkinz Newz.

Each day starts at 12:00am EST and runs until 11:59pm EST. Have fun catching snowflakes on both Webkinz Newz and Webkinz World!

     I used to be able to do the splits, and now I can’t 😳 So now I have to do the splits in 2 of my dances this year, so I need to practice. When we went and preformed at a winter show, I had to fake the splits because I wasn’t ready yet, which was bad because everyone else at the time except me and one other girl couldn’t do them 😳 I guess I have to keep trying!

     Webkinz creator Ganz has announced a new line of virtual world-supported collectibles for girls called Tail Towns. The line’s real world component is a series of “highly-detailed” animal figurines that ship with a registration code that lets the owner create an account at Tail Towns. Users who register can create a virtual villager in Tail Towns and use its skills to complete tasks and help grow their own private town. Collecting more Tail Towns figurines allows the player to increase her virtual villager’s skills and abilities.

     Each villager registered at Tail Towns begins with a virtual estate that the player can develop into her personally customized private village. Users can invite friends who also play Tail Towns to join their village. Players develop their villages by working at jobs and earning virtual currency. Players can also complete special tasks in order to be rewarded directly with virtual goods and currency. Ganz promises that Tail Towns will offer its users some story content to discover, which it describes as “tangled tales of forbidden love, true romance and hidden treachery!”

     Tail Towns will feature unmoderated player chat for users over 13, so this line is clearly meant to serve girls who’ve gotten a bit too old for Ganz’s Webkins line but still enjoy tying real-world collectibles to a virtual world experience. Ganz plans to launch Tail Towns on March 8, which is International Women’s Day. Tail Towns appears to be Ganz’s first new virtual world product since the company’s Webkinz, Jr., virtual world for kids ages 3 to 6 went live early in 2009.

     I’m having the same problem with my Sig. Cougar. I have no idea what to do with her PSI, i would like to put it in her room but it can only go outside. Her room doesn’t have much in it right now because i’m trying to have a room for her with the wallpaper/flooring she came with and it seems like only the Sig. End. items go with it and i only have a few of those so far and no one seems to have them in the TR.

     Chococat – Yeah its a hammock. The End. Clouded Leopard PSI would look good in there b/c it has those same big bushy trees on the top. The Clouded Leopard and the Iberican Lynx both come with the same End. Walls & floors. But i don’t have that PSI, lol

     What Sig. End. pet has the tredmill PSI? I got that one in the TR a few weeks ago but i can’t remember what pet its for.
     Right now i only the the Sig. End. Hammock, the Tredmill (not sure what pet its for) the spa looking thing that actually a megastove, and that big blue/white christmas tree.

     I have one for my Lamb right now but when i get that Shimmer Bunny im planning on putting her in the same room as my Lamb and it would look kinda weird if i put a different bed in that room. Really wish i didn’t trade that bed, i cant even remember what i traded it for.
