    ok i have a confession **looks both ways** it drives my dh INSANE when i whistle for him!! i am so LOL right now!!!! but i am picturing the look on his face from the other day at the grocery store when i kept saying (quietly, we were in the grocery store) hunny, hunny…….hunny. . . . …. …… huuuunny & nothing. so i didn’t want to cause a scene. so i gave a little whistle (he was at the end of the isle. i was a little less than mid way. and he turned around & looked at me. then slowly turned right back around. BAHAAAAaaaaaaaaa it was HILARIOUS!!!!

    I’m just sick =.= looong story.
    I had a fever last saturday nite with dizziness, then the next day, headache/fever/dizziness.. same for monday, and tuesday, so i got to miss school, and wednesday my mom let me stay home to reccuperate…. but then no school today cause of remembrance day, none tomorrow either.. and It turns out my fever was my body trying to fight off this dumb cold i hav e now… sore sore throat, slight cough and runny nose.. my nose hurts from blowing >.>

    Poor Lizzie, I hope you are fully recovered soon. I use Vaseline Lip Therapy, the original one, NO SPF in it… and using a cotton swab put it on your chapped nose too, it will heal a lot faster…

    hi all

    we just got back from a big harry potter event. it was a lot of fun.
    we were sorted in houses and had to do a day at hogwarts. Potions class, went to Honeydukes and Hagrids hut.
    there were LOTS of people dressed up. dd has a death eater mark on her arm!

    it was for kids and grown ups and I swear there were more big “kids”

    that is why I was thinking the raw silk…kind of porous..We have a light fixture in the shower (which I need to find and order in addition to towel bars and tp holder type stuff). dd has one in her new and improved bath. It is amazing how much light gets thru.

    somehow I got drafted to bake cookies for a club thing at university. They are paying for my supplies

    I like to do doughs and then roll them up in wax paper and freeze. They are like home made slice and bakes….I was thinking snickerdoodles, but those have to be rolled into balls in the cinnamon and sugar……

    i’m thinking it might be strep, but i’m monitoring my temp and haven’t had a fever, i’m sure i was exposed to something icky at the ER the other day, that place always does more harm then good unless you are literally having a life or death emergency, but i always end up having to go there for stupid things that could be bad but are usually false alarms

    dee – here is a GREAT recipe I like to use:

    HEATH BAR COOKIES

    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 (12 oz.) bag chocolate chips
    6 oz. bag Heath Bar bits

    Mix all the ingredients together (cream first five ingredients, add eggs one at a time; mix soda/salt/flour separately, then add to the mix gradually, stir in chips & bits). Bake in 375 degree oven until lightly browned (5 -6 minutes?). Makes 6 dozen cookies (or I made mine little like a teaspoon drop, and it makes a zillion).
