I remember my first day! 😀 We had little name tags with pictures of crayons on them LOL Mine was (I think 😯 ) either an orange crayon or a blue crayon, and I was crying because I wanted pink. But now I hate pink and I love orange and blue. LOL. And the bears (my states football team as you guys know) colors! Blue and orange! Yeah! 😀

I find that an eyelash curler is more worth the time than applying eyeliner, eyeshadow, or mascara. An eyelash curler takes 45 seconds, and you can’t mess up. Its hard to point your eyeout with an eyelash curler. You can pinch your eyelid but thats it

Its not the pet really, its just I haven’t even got a name for the one I got, and I already have had that one for a few monthes now. I am celebrating gymbo’s genorsity, it was VERY nice of her. i think the lamb psi is 3 to 6 months after the Season 8000 to 10000 and if the cotton candy bunny returned then it is the same value.

lizzie would you do the lamb, ccb psi & the mining cart (each psi is worth 8-10,000 & the mining cart is 4,000 i think) for the landing pad chair & sig bed? the landing pad & chair are 7-11,000 & the bed is 10,000) or is that right? i am starting to wonder if the sig bed is 10-12,000?? but on the high end yours is 23,000 & mine would be 24,000 so that still would be fair i think? what do you think?

FFQ’s 5th grade teacher started out great and then went squirrely to the max… if you have a hinky feeling… change teachers..
I didn’t like either kindergarten teacher at the old school so I kept my youngest home and home schooled her (ok I did school her b4 that too) so she was more ready than those attending K and was reading and doing more advanced math as well… FFQ’s 4th grade teacher said… don’t waste time in K for her then, put her into 1st grade. so I did 🙂
I don’t mess around with school anymore.. cut to the chase, get involved and if the teacher doesn’t like it.. too bad… my kid and her future are not a game

I ran to the grocery store to get some lunchable things(the healthier ones) for snacks for my ds. Their lunch isn’t until 1:20 this year they allow a snack at

The carlton cards near my house sometimes gets their webkinz early and puts them out a few days before. I always call there. Last time I went in, they knew my voice, but they didn’t know me. My mom laughed so hard, and then she said, ” Only my daughter can call a place and everyone knows who she is.” Guess I obcess a little! 😆

Best $15 and $25 ever spent on eyeshadow. Since I spent like $5 of ulta colors I would never use before. I got this ugly green and 2 purples, I don’t know WHAT i was thinking. Online it said browns,golds, and purples go good with green eyes, but I didn’t want browns LOL

Hi! any techy people here to maybe help me with a problem? here it is…
When I turn on the laptop and click for internet/Firefox, a window pops up saying firefox is already running and not responding. It says to close it before I can connect to Firefox. All this makes no sense. I’ve shut down and re-booted umpteen times. I’ve pulled out the battery, waited, put it back on and tried again. nada Ran SuperAnti-Spyware program cocomac recommended; still didn’t help. Norton runs constantly.
I’ve clenched my teeth so tight it’s a wonder they haven’t broken. I’ve done absolutely EVERYTHING I know to rectify this problem and nothing is working. Is there anything I haven’t thought of to try?? any suggestions would be welcome.

school was….ok. she cried during lunch & even in class. this is her first yr. and i just want to know that the teacher is going to comfort her ya know. the teacher sent a note in her agenda & sent an email to keep me up to date. i felt pretty good about that. still praying!! this is hard for both of us. but i expected that, kinda… 😕 i still think i have cried more than her. mainly bc the teacher acting like i had an extra arm growing out of my forhead when i told her my kids didn’t go to daycare?????? i guess that unheard of? idk…. 🙄 i am trying to look at it as maybe her personality. trying not to judge her too much for her reaction & give her the benefit of the doubt? my mom has a strong personality, so dd’s teacher “kinda” reminds me of that?

YES i know kindergarten is a BIG step!! i am just not 100% sure about the teacher. i mean maybe it’s bc of her reaction to the no daycare? i took it personally, but i have TRIED to rationalize the fact that she was trying to get a feel for where she would be with my dd? idk, i just don’t want to have to spin out a teacher on the highway…ya know? JK JK 🙄
but dd has been looking forward to school FOREVER!! i thought she would have hit the ground running!! my first one did (son). 2nd (dd) was happy, till it sunk in. then she cried for a week AT LEAST, now she LOVES LOVES LOVES it!! i just NEED to know that my precious bb is being nurtured during this time!! NOT singled out bc she didn’t go to preschool!!!! 😡 grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Crazy-I ‘m going to be blunt. Someone with a “strong” personality should NOT be teaching kindergartners. You’re trying to take the ‘Christian” route which is good to
give people the benefit of a doubt. but NOT at our childs expense. It’s our duty to pray for those who are lost it is quite another to let are child be at the mercy of them.If school has just started & she’s already frustrated that you daughter is crying you need a different teacher. Don’t let them push you around.
Have you asked your DD how she feels about the teacher?

i do ask & have asked everyday!! my first thought was to have her taken out, but i think i need to give it a little time. she wasn’t getting aggravated by it, more of a keeping in touch & letting me know how her day went. she “actually” told me that she was comforting her.
this was her email. (my butterbean) cried this morning. I think she is scared of not knowing how to do things. She gets frustrated when writing letters or numbers. I had a long talk with her to not be afraid of me or school. That she has ALL year to learn these things and no one is perfect. I hope it helped ease her mind. She also complained of the dog scratch.
She had a good afternoon and I kept telling her that she was doing such nice work. That helped. Things will get better. Its overwhelming at first. Hang in there!!!! (the teacher)
and the little note she wrote was nice too.

I went to preschool when I was 3 & 4, but it was only one morning and two afternoons a week, with 2 parent volunteers/session.
When I was 4, my last year of preschool, they suggested I re-do the “4s”, as I was the youngest in my class, everyone else was already 5. (December birthday :\ )

crazy, I would say give it a bit. It is stressful for us moms. I cried like nothing.
dd had a blast! We moved a LOT, so we never got to know the scuttlebutt regarding teachers. I knew when I met them at open house. Just that vibe that they were for my kid.
My poor dd did get marked down on her report card for not knowing her phone number. It was her third kindergarten in two months as we were moving from the US to Alaska.
Like I said, the vibe thing.
We have only had one “bad” teacher. She was bad in that she was not impartial and let the class run wild. So we changed schools and it was a perfect fit for our whole family. DDs first whole week I was tempted to pull her back home. We had done a homeschool preschool program and they said she was more than ready even with her young age. She still loves school and learning, but that is our whole families attitude. I am in school at my very ripe old age and I like to think that I set an example because mommy has homework too.

cwc- I don’t remember much, but yeah, i really enjoyed it, i think. My teachers were wonderful .
I know i had a hard time in Kindergarten & grade 1, my mom would have to come in with me, and make sure I had a place to sit, and that all was okay etc. I still have school anxieties to this day.

It’s hard ‘cuz when it’s their 1rst year you don’t know if it’s just school or the teacher. My ds’s kindergarten teacher said the “right things” so I thought he was just having a hard time going to school.( I didn’t do preschool either). I won’t get specific but I had someone “observe” the class & found out she was in impatient nut ball.

on his spelling test(even though he got a 100%) for SLOPY writing.
No I did NOT do a typo she actually wrote SLOPY more than once.

A big no no is when you have to make an appt to visit the class.
And it is a big transition for the kiddoes. I still think the half day thing is good for kindergartners. Our schools here have the option for the younger ones. Plus, I stick my nose in there, volunteeting, chaperoning etc! My dream (not dds) is to work as a lunch lady or library assistant at her school!

YES gwen!! great idea!! i have done some of that. it is hard for her to remember stuff or something? i mean today she cried in school & at lunch. and she never even told us. i only know bc of a couple of the teaches (my friends) that work their. and the teachers note in her agenda. she finally did tell us, but only bc i asked the right ? ya know. ugggggg

Gwen- Hmm, I think if you had the shutters, or better yet, the slippers and shutters, you could maybe trade them for antlers, depending on the person.
another choice would be to use the purple ball cap as an offer for the antlers.

Gwenda- Well, the ball cap is worth around 50,000 KC, and the antlers 100,000 i believe, but if you include like, torn jeans, purple slippers, shutters, or anything in that margin, you’re likely to get the antlers for a very good deal. 😉

Hey all! Finished most of my Homework! Ate dinner, then watched the colony! Awesome episode! My mom just got back from walking… but I traded for 45 minutes… one trade took half an hour to complete! But it was WAY worth it! I was trading with a MAGICAL RETRIEVER, just on the odd chance they would be carrying around their PSI! And they did! And I traded for it! Now I have the Sparkling Star Bed, the magical retrievers PSI! Its awesome!
