what this contest is about. Start all your comments
with an activity or something you do in the summer or when it’s hot.
Example: If it were a winter you’d say: Snowman, Shoveling or Snow etc.

kgh – it’s going to be a looooong process . . . she’s not feeling any different really, but i’m hoping they will start PT this week – she is not allowed to bend her knee – it’s completely immobilized, and her should has lots what little range of motion she had because of keeping it in the sling, so . . . it’s going to take a lot of time to finish healing then regain use of them again 🙁

Hoping I can get a netbook/lap top before school starts.
Oh I dread that.
I just rather skip the WHOLE vacation and have my mom give me all the money she would spend on me, food, whatever she was going to buy me, fraction of gas costs, fraction of the cabin costs. That way I can go buy new jeans!!!! I need them so bad.
I don’t fit in the other ones. I only fit in 4 pairs of capris/shorts/pants 😳

I already know its going to be horrible. Last ‘vacation’ (it was mini okay) when we went to the outlets, it was just bad. At one hotel my mom and I had to share a bed out of the wall. There was no padding on that bed what so ever. But at least no one would have slept in that much??
They had a log book of people who stayed in there and I put stupid stuff like Mcdonalds is better at the beach LOL While my sister, her husband, and kids shared a king sized bed. But after reading the log book, I was glad I had the bed out of the wall. 😆

And now theres like when we go to ‘the mall’ (my grandparents live in a small town but we are probably going to go to the mall around 40 minutes away from them) And my sister is going to HAVE to go into gymboree and I will sit in the highest chair (I think its the green one) and watch that gym tv junk. Then she will make my mom buy stuff and she will want her to buy some Old Navy clothes. =/ Then my parents will have to pay for ALL the food, they are already paying all of the $500 for the cabin.

I do not know you flowiing, but we had to go to MI this summer as father in law had a heart attack. While we were there, we put MIL in a nursing home for her ahlzheimers. DD knew it was not going to be a fun trip. No internet, no cable, bunch of grown ups. She did well. We splurged and bought her a book series she had been wanting to ease her pain. I try to be optimistic as much as the world allows. Just think of all those fabulous cherry products and we found some super webkinz stuff (christmas ornaments, figures etc) in out of the way places.

Sorry I am wanting to vent. I have this total anger about my sister. Its how she acts, how she watches her kids, how she disciplines her kids, her husband, how she acts like she has no money, her beliefs, and what she thinks she is going to do in life.
She barely watches her kids, she doesn’t discipline them, her husband.. gosh I hate him, she has gotten like 4 or 5 packages of MINI BODEN sent to our house so no one knows she keeps ordering it, she thinks its okay to stay poor, and she is going to be a teacher. She is going to be the provider of a family, to feed herself, her habits, her husband, and kids.. with a teachers salary. That may be okay if you are both working, but he doesn’t want to work.

I love the cherry stuff!!! But I can’t get any more webkinz. I think it would be PARTLY okay if my niece just went. Then my mom would buy her a webkinz and I keep the code. Okay I am not crying. I’ll cry up there when someone HAS (my brother in law or sister) has to make a comment about something.
Gosh just had another thing come up… about putting makeup on and putting on acne care products. Someone is going to say something and its going to make me upset because they will say stuff about how I can never go anywhere without makeup on. I only put concealer on my face. Its just I like to curl my eye lashes and put a little shadow on (that takes like 30 seconds) and apply mascara.

I got a notification through the retailer site that Bubblegum Cheeky Cat will be retired July 18th. Whether or not this was made in error remains to be seen. I guess you guys will know tomorrow. They do some kind of game with the new retired Webkinz, which gives more of an excuse to retire them and play the risk/reward game – they risk retiring it and ticking off their clientele, but they reward you for buying it in advance.
We still have several in stock and on sale, for now…. just wanted to give a small heads up.

yes my littlest watched it… it wasn’t quite as scary as the commercials seemed it would be … BUT my littlest has seen Sweeney Todd and this would be nothing in comparison
the back grounds look scarier than the action, other than the end with the slaying of the jabberwocky and that wasn’t very much… the Mad Hatter looked scarier in this version, of course… the red queen… but .. I have seen worse on TV
if your little has not seem such “dark” shows/movies then skip it for now… mine is too used to worse at this point 🙁

Alice does rediscover her own empowerment and individuality and reasserts herself in the battle and then in real life.. that part was great! The story takes place at a time when girls got married when they were told to, to whom they were told and put up with ……… stuff as there was no other choice… Alice tells the guy she will NOT marry him, tells her brother-in-law that he should be thankful her sister is his wife and that she will be watching him closely to make sure he appreciate his wife (ie NOT cheat on her like Alice caught him kissing another woman).. takes her father’s (her father passed away) business partner about making a new trade route and then she got involved in the business herself and sailed off to China to learn the business …. 😉 woman taking charge and moving on! A good message for all . mostly girls.. though boys.. watch out and don’t get in the way! 😉

we are back from our adventure. We went to see the Parthenon. They filmed a Percy Jackson scene there. DD and I were very excited as we are Percy fans. Hot and humid!!! Finally made it back home. Momskinz – It was really nice. We met our family up there, went 4-wheeling/Jeeping in the moutains, went on all the trails – some of them i was like ‘please let us make it!!’ because it was such a narrow trail, lol – overall we had a great (safe) time! My Dad is the joker type so if there was any big puddles, he HAD to go fast through them to get me soaked with mud! ROFL! But I don’t get mad, I get even! 😉 j/k Always fun to get away 😀

The Parthenon was in Nashville. I have yet to make it to Greece, altho I make a fabulous baklava (greek style versus turkish).
I am a stay home mom/college student. My major is German. I lived in Germany many years. DH is retired military. We have one child. She got a webkinz as a gift about two years ago. I got one for Christmas later. She deviates between webkinz and BABV. Currently she is webbie and very jealous that mom won a van! I do the dailies for too many accts. When I am in school, they get the basics only! I am so very happy to have found this site and all you wonderful people.
Now I must corral a guinea pig and put it up for the nite, chase dd down for a bath start piling laundry for tomorrow. Has anyone every seen those articles that say how much a mom should be paid? hee hee I just factor that in to my webkinz buying!
Has anyone seeen flowiing tonite? We found ornaments and figures and carriers in crazy places in MI last month.

I am Irish! They are not known for their cuisine. We have made the alton brown gyros here. Lamb is not so easy to find, nor is buffalo which is another meat we love.
In summer it is fab to do kabobs with my taziki sauce. Next year we should have a fabulous garden to make all the foods we love. DH makes a killer salsa.
We are frugal and make more of what we can do. We do know a crazy greek/korean restaurant in TN that is so cheap and so much food if anyone needs recommendations.

at least my grandparents have a mall like 40 minutes away, but there is no walmart in there town. all they have is ice cream shops and a grocery store. lol
but they have a few stores for clothing like the name with their town. they have one okay store, but its expensive than like stores with the same brands. they had like billabong and roxy but it was more expensive than like pacsun because the store is meant for tourists

Hey folks. One more reminder and a public service announcement, which I cannot verify but was sent to me via another retailer circulatory.
(1) As you know, our main web site was without service for two weeks. I was able to get the web site and properly pointed to a steady and dependable domain. That being said, as the sale was originally intended to end on August 1st, the sale prices have been extended through August 15th. Hopefully that should give you all a little more breathing room to decide whether you want to place an order. Yes, momskinz is right. Virtual code orders are fine to place now, but those have to be placed by e-mail with me. The e-commerce site cannot recognize the difference between a plush and code sale and just a virtual code sale, so you’d be charged shipping regardless.
(2) The public service announcement… I don’t know what else to call it. As said above, I received a list from a retailer circulatory that I think to be logical since it was sent to me the last week of June and I didn’t think anything of it, until today. These are expected retirements through the end of 2010. While these are all expected to retire, there may be additional ones as well. In no way is this verifiable, of course, until Ganz says so and makes any individual announcement.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Ganz knows what they’re doing in advance and #8 will be sold out in a few weeks time. Trust me, Ganz does do stuff WITH rhyme or reason to it.

Thanks mom! DD is getting tweaked at ortho right now, so hopefully that will help with her sore mouth. Can she come on here with her name but use my email account? I am a mean mean mom as that I do not allow her to give out the email she uses (which I have password for etc).

Alana- this is becky! haha. okay so its like im sitting in some car and theres a survey lady sitting next to me. and there’s a big screen right infront of us on a stage and she keeps showing video clips of dances and making me guess who the dancer is and every one that she showed was you! and she would always ask “who’s on the screen now?” and everytime i would always say “alana!” and then i asked why she kept showing me alana and she said “because shes such a great dancer and i love alana” haha!

Shoobies is a reference to the tourists, summer people, and campers that invade this area. Originally I think the word ‘shoobie’ derived from people coming out of the city to the shore for the day, carrying their belongings in shoe boxes. That would be going back before my time, but I think that’s the story of how the term ‘shoobie’ came about.
Everything around here gets very congested; roads, stores, etc. with the influx of people(shoobies).
