And no offense, but you need to work on your leaps – point your toes.” She has the nerve to tell me to do something, that she doesn’t even do!! 😑 And I know she said no offense, but I am still offended! πŸ™ And I know I need to work on my leaps. 😳

    we haven’t been out to measure, but it looks like we have near a foot of snow. I never thought it would stop coming down last night. They finally started plowing the roads in the wee hours this morning. It’s freezy cold. Not likely to have any quick melt.

    thank goodness for friends with snowblowers! LOL one of dh’s buds stopped with his snowblower on the back of his pick up and started blowing our drive and walkway. YAY for good friends!!

    gramma, thank heaven for neighbors with blow torches to melt through the sleet! i had a misadventure trying to go to dinner last night. needless to say we didn’t make it but a few feet. luckily, an amazing neighbor helped my friend and i back INTO the driveway πŸ™‚

    Hello all. Still outside in the snow more than on the PC. We could not find a POTM this month. Did not want to buy one online, but wish we had. JR will get a Schnauzer eventually and name it Scruffy (even if it is not the POTM). I love the names Kaiser and Fritz, but he likes Scruffy because of it’s appearance.

    I am glad we did not miss a clown nose, hope it is today at PJ’s.

    We will have to stop back later when all the sledding is done for the day.

    Momskinz – we blew really hard for you to get snow. We got just enough. Sunny today, propbably ice tomorrow instead of snow. πŸ™

All you gals seem sooooo thrilled with the books and movies, I’m really interested in seeing what all the fuss is about. I absolutely LOVE the Harry Potter books and movies.     I’ve read all the Harry Potter books before seeing the movies. When the first movie was released dd1 and I went to see it. I could not believe how what I was seeing on screen was exactly as I had pictured it in my mind while reading the books. It was truly unbelievable! now the last one #6? I was somewhat disappointed because the sets had changed. The potions class didn’t look as it had in the previous movies. It was still a fabulous movie, but knowing the books and movies so well, it was a noticeable change. I can’t wait for the two part-er 7th and last book movies. OOOOH!! and the theme park opens in Univeral Studios, FL in the spring!!!! probably won’t make it this year ’cause we’re heading south this coming Saturday. I hope dd1 will wait awhile and we can go together with dgd2 sometime later this year.

    Gramma~ You should probably read the first book before you see the movie and if you plan to see New Moon probably read that first too. Eclipse doesnt come out til the end of June and Breaking dawn hasnt even started filming (if they do actually make it into a movie) But i would read the first 2 before you see the movies.

    OH!! ok, so I’ll get Twilight. I HATE riding in planes!!!!! dh already knows if there’s snow on Saturday, he’s flying alone!! we have about a foot of snow on the ground now. My Dad and his wife were driving to FL, supposed to leave yesterday; put off til today due to weather. The weather people are saying snow/rain for us next Saturday. If it’s snowing and there’s talk of de-icing the plane???? I’m not going!!! he’s going alone!!!

    I love riding in planes, ive only been on a plane 4 times though, when i was 8 i when to florida and back with my grandma and brother, and 2 years ago i when to florida and back by myself.

    jrsdad – about the books, spaghettimachine is still reading the HP series in between currently Ronald Dahl books & Advanced Reading books for school . . . we are struggling to get subjects that interest him & are in his reading level because he reads on a higher grade level, but doesn’t have the background

    gtboy is really into non-fiction right now, so he is reading about earthquakes (inspired by Haiti), swamps & marshes, sharks, etc. good stuff . . .

    choco, that’s what happened to dh’s laptop; sooooo aggravating. It’s an antique now. The one I have was my bday present last year; LOVE it!!!! I just got my free discs to upgrade to windows 7. Need to have calm and a clear head before I tackle the switch from Vista(which is horrible). I’ve never done anything like it, but the instructions sound rather simple.

    I got this laptop a little over 2 years ago and i got this charger a little over a month ago so its not that old. The battery in the laptop is fried though so it cant stay unplugged for more than 15 minutes.

    Vista came on this laptop and had a free upgrade to Windows 7. I’m going to attempt doing it myself because Best Buy wanted $39.99 to do my ‘free’ upgrade. If I mess it up, the worst that could happen is I have to pay Best Buy or our geek guy to fix it. We still have XP on the desktop and I love it. My understanding is Windows 7 is kind of a combo of XP and Vista, taking the best from each os. I sure hope so.
