Ganz announced Wednesday that they will have maintenance today to make improvements to Kinzville Park. We are looking forward to Mr. Moo!

good morning.
no luck finding the pet tags 🙁
it was really late on Tuesday when I put them up (I thought I was going to have time to adopt them but didn’t). Now I can not remember where I put them. they are not with the rest of the tags (my stash 😉 ). The pants I was wearing dind’t have pockets so I put them on the elastic part as I was putting the kids to bed.
then I sat down on the pc but got company so I went to the kitchen.
don’t remember what happened after that.
I have looked everywhere.

that is entirely too much of a swing in temperature! it better not be 27 here unless we have some freak snow or ice! (they shut the whole city down when that happens)

Oh, no, it’s not 27 here… 27 at someone’s house up above. I hope to only see that temperature if I’m on vacation at my mom’s house.
We do see it occasionally in the 30s… but not very often. That’s good, because I’m trying to keep our heating bill down.

hey chococat! i wish for crazy weather….. hurricanes, tornados, winter storms… we only get the mild version of those–so they’re kinda fun! if i lived in a place where i had to take them more seriously, i’d be pretty panicked! (i’m not making light of such weather events, just the versions that come down my street)

snow if fabulous until you’re cold and wet and it’s tracked everywhere inside… i used to live in a snowy region and i can remember going to school and having to undress everywhere you want (snow boots, snow pants, jacket). bleh! no fun!
but we did build some awesome snow forts! one was in a snow drift 4+feet high that my dad poured water over to harden it and we literally made a little house in it with rooms and windows and everything! maybe that’s why i want the estore build-a-snowfort…..

I like it when it first snows and it is pretty and fun to play in (and of course snow days) but when it starts melting and turns into a big sloppy wet mess i dont like it.

Speaking of boots, this morning right before school started i went to the panther den and got a slurpee for first hour and it exploded, it got all over my jeans, coat, and my new boots! Now they are stained… 🙁

Usually they dont fill the slurpee cups up all the way because they tend to rise, but this one was filled up a bit too much, overflowed, got all over, and it made a big mess, thankfully once i cleaned up a bit i was able to drink it.

Tuesday was the 1st hour exam, Biology.
Yesterday was a half day and we had 2nd and 3rd hour exams, art and english, though i had no exam in art, i just slept all hour
Today was also a half day and we had 4th and 5th hour exams, spanish and algebra. I also got my new schedual, though i wish they would tell us what lunch we have, i have to wait til 3rd hour on monday to figure that out. I think its dumb that they dont tell us because 1st lunch starts after 2nd hour and your lunch hour depends on the teacher you have for 3rd hour so if you go to 3rd hour to figure it out you will miss part of your lunch. And i dont want 1st lunch because if i have it i will not eat, it starts at 10:11, that is way too early to eat lunch!

No, i have a high enough grade in the class (C-) that if i fail the exam i will not fail the class, and if i do fail the class i still dont have to retake it because it is not required. Though that was Spanish 1A, i have Spanish 1B this trimester, i hope to have the class dropped and switched to a different class. Though the counciler for my grade isnt a very nice person so she most likely will not let me switch.

I think i am better at italian than i am at spanish, i am learning it by reading a Twilight Fanfic that uses alot of italian in it, of course they have the tanslations for them at the bottom of the page, but i am doing very well at learning it.

that’s brunch hour, not lunch hour! why do they have such schedules? really! i always hated early lunch. by the time i got home it was time for 2nd lunch.
well, i’m glad, whatever the exam grade, it’ll be over with! and i’m sure there’s a way to convince the counselor! (i never took ‘no’ for an answer.)

I’m better at italiano than espanol as well… I lived in Italy for three years though. We speak some Italian phrases at home to our kids… dd was born there, so she is interested in it. But she wants to learn Chinese because of Ni Hao Kai Lan, so we got her Rosetta Stone for that. I hope they learn lots of languages. It’s helpful to know more than one.

Ive never lived anywhere outside the U.S. I have onl been out of it a few times on vacation. A few times to Canada and i went to the Bahamas when i was younger.
