LL~ i believe that i read somewhere that is is 10x bigger than the clubhouse. 1 clubhouse room is 10×10 spaces making it 100 spaces. Oops… that would make the KVP 100×100 spaces, i had a feeling there was something wrong with the size. 😳 ok, so the KVP is 100×100 spaces making it 10,000 spaces, ok that maks much more sense.

My HS is quite fun. There is a dodgeball tournament at my school at 7 tonight. Teachers against students, im not in it but my friend is. There are Dodgeball hitlists around the school. Quite entertaining to see.

Tests are worth more points. Yeah we can have backpacks/purses in class. And we can chew gum (we couldnt in MS but that didnt stop us) we can have drinks (slurpee, pop, energy drink, ect.) in first hour and food in first hour. The rest of the day is water and gum. More freedom, and more elective classes such as Jewelry Making, Auto Shop, Journalism, Marketing (aka the Panther Den workers) and much more.

littleleaf- uh… its the point system. so every single assignment is worth points, and depending on the completion, and value and whatnot of your work, you earn points. at the end of every 9 weeks, you get a progress report that shows your grade as total points earned/total points possible, and all the different assignments, including tests, quizes, homework, classwork, etc
the more points something is worth, the more it will affect your grade.
also, some teachers will make different assignments worth different numbers of points. so maybe all the test you take will be 30% of your grade, projects 30%, quizzes 20%, classwork 5%, and homework 15%.

littleleaf- there’s middle school inbetween, so the transition isn’t such a huge jump. oh, and in high school, the campus is much much bigger, and you might have one class in the bottom right part of campus and the next in the upper left.
well, at least my school is like that. the campus is about 5 acres… not including the football field, soccer field, lacrosse field, softball field, baseball field, student parking lots, and teacher parking lots
other high schools are all in one building and have many floors.

we get report cards too, and theres also weighted classes that will bring your c to a b or c to an a, depending on how hard the class is. for example, ap class will bring your grade up two letter grades. honors bring grades up only one grade.
so the weighted grade (the one with the brought up grade) shows on report cards.

My HS is quite large too. This year the ninth grade wing was opened which is huge, in my city 9th grade used to be at the Jr high (now changed to Middle Schools) this is the first time in about 25 years that freshman have been at the HS in my city. Though now that the freshman wing (or A Wing) is opened all of my core classes are in that wing, i only have 1 class outside of that wing and that is Art which is in the C Wing.

Although at my school the final exam is a huge part of your grade. If you dont have a B- or higher and you fail the final exam you will fail the class and have to retake it if you want to graduate. The F.E. can drop you 2 letter grades if you fail it.

choco – thats cool. we have 4 buildings and a bunch of trailers.
so theres the a building that has all core classes (2 stories)
the b building which has both the gym. locker rooms, and cafeteria
the c building holds the auditorium, and all artsy classes (like band, orchestra, pottery, drawing, theathre, wookworking, autoshop, etc)
and the d building is mostly foreign languages.
and trailers for other foreign language classes.
ll- it really is, thats why you get 5 minutes in between classes instead of the 3 in middle school

At the begining of the year i was quite worried that i would get lost in the school because it is so large, but is very easy to get around, as long as you know where the Wings are. We have A Wing (freshman) B Wing (sophmores C Wing (Juniors & Seniors) Tech Wing (Auto Shop, Woodshop ect.) Gym 1 (regualar) Gym 2 (auxilary Gym and workout room) Pool, Auditorium, Planitarium (in the C Wing) old Lunchroom and new lunchroom, Panther Dem (right next to the old lunchroom)

In my MS we had 5 minutes to get around, my middle school used to be the old HS before they built the new one about 35 years ago so my MS was rather big. Now we have 6 minutes to get around.

now, the state mandated test counts for 25% of your grade for the course, 25% for midterms and finals, and 25% for 1st semester, and 25% for 2nd semester.
it used to be only 25% of the 2nd semester grade, but now its worth twice as much… 🙁

choco- in my middle school, all the core classes were right next to each other, and we had 3 minutes. my middle school was build like 15 years ago, the high school has been around for 75 years, its the original hs, but now they built 2 more hs’s, there are 5 middle schools, and 10 elementary schools in my district

We have 10 elemntry schools, 2 middle schools and 1 high school. They are considering combinding the middle schools because of budget issues and because the 9th graders are out of there now there is alot of extra rooms in the schools so they are considering moving both middle schools to my old MS.

2nd period – spanish 9:35-10:20
3rd period – social studies 10:25-11:00
4th period – english 11:05-11:50
lunch 50 minutes of freedom!!
5th period – orchestra 1:15-2:00
6th period – algebra 2 2:05-2:50
7th period – biology 2:55-3:40
each class is 45 minutes long, and you get 5 minutes in between periods, and then theres lunch

the college will not close until it reaches 30% so we so far are not

i think that’s a good trade on both sides – ambulance is a good exclusive, but not newest, and the blazer is not valued too high, so looks fair to me – if someone who is receiving the blazer wants to throw in some extras, that might be nice, but nothing too too high . . .

I can’t post pics — I got the black and white cat from Target with an extra tag that opens the caring valley and you plant 4 sapplings and get a tree.
Target had them for $10.99 each and the lilkinz were $5.99 each. the regular ones were $12.99.

I used to think there was a magic number of tokens that you needed to get the trophy, but we have now come to understandthat it is random. I have been collecting to get to that magic number that I thought was around 60 or 70, but it is totally random and I am not that lucky to pull the random number.
I have proved that time and again with the trophies. The average spelling for the google trophy is 450 — it took me 1074 spelling to get my one and only google trophy. lol I am up to a wopping 325 again and still no second trophy lol

I have never gotten all the levels for zacky ( I did get one of the trophies in atrade for a goober lab)
Zingo pop I hit the 30 levels once to get that one.
I got the gumball trophy twice.
I have gotten of the booger gets and A
I have about 4 of the candy bash 2
one of the candy bash 1
4 of the cash cow
I have one a total of about 21 of the goober lab trophies, I traded them to someone who was making a chess board.
