Flan (a spanish custard)
A Delicious custard that's easy to make!
1 box cream cheese
1 can condensed milk
1 box evaporated milk
Preheat oven at 350
For the burnt sugar:
Melt the sugar in a saucepan. do not stir until all the sugar starts to bubble. Keep stirring until sugar has melted. Pour immediately in 8" pan. Set aside.
Mix cream cheese, both milks, eggs and vanilla together and pour in the 8" round pan from above.
Cook in water bath (fill baking pan -big enough to hold 8" round pan, with hot water, to cover about 1/2 - 1")and bake for 25-30mins.
Let it cool and refrigerate (works best overnight). when ready to serve, run a knife around edges to loosen up the flan. Turn upside down in deep dish.
